Over Protective Mates
“You stupid, stupid freak,” Vernon Dursley yelled, face going even more purple by the moment as he kicked Harry Potter who was curled up in a tight ball on the floor.
Harry didn’t answer, he had been working all day - doing the chores that his Aunt Petunia had set for him - only to have his Uncle come home from work early. It didn’t help that lately he had been feeling more tired than normal.
“You freak, we put a roof over your head, feed you, clothe you and you can’t do the small amount of chores we set for you,” Vernon said as he kicked Harry in the back “You’re a worthless freak who should have died with his parents.”
With that Vernon gave Harry one last kick to Harry’s side and walked out of the bare room, leaving Harry on the floor covered in blood and injuries.
“I truly am a freak,” Harry muttered as he fell asleep, still on the cold floor as he couldn’t move due to his injuries.
Downstairs, the Dursleys began their talk on which way it would be best to kill Harry.
***With Sirius and Remus in their bed***
“You was amazing as always love,” Sirius said as he nuzzled Remus’ neck causing the other man to moan slightly.
“If I could I’d punish you again,” Remus said with a pout as they pulled the bedcovers and snuggled down for the night.
After a few minutes of silence Sirius asked, “Do you think we’ll ever find him?”
“Find the fairy?” Remus teased as Sirius blushed.
“Wasn’t my fault you rented that muggle movie to see if Arthur’s experiment worked,” Sirius said with a pout, “and at the end of the movie the fairy said that its next adventure might be with you if you can find it.”
Remus gave his mate a wolfish grin. “Don’t worry. I won’t let any fairies take you away and do naughty things to you. After all, that’s my job and our third mate’s job.
The atmosphere in the room quickly changed from one of relaxation and happiness to that of worry and tension.
“We’ll find him, don’t worry,” Remus said as he stroked Sirius’ hair.
“How do you know that our mate’s male?” Sirius asked with a raised eye brow. “I thought we couldn’t tell.”
“I don’t know,” Remus said with a frown. “Must mean it’s almost time to find our third mate.”
Sirius and Remus shared a pleased smile as they curled up with each other and fell asleep.
***Back with Harry***
“What’s going on?” Harry wondered to himself, still curled up on the floor of his room.
As Harry slowly looked around he noticed that the room looked different and new smells was around and he felt a strange warmth growing within him but none of that mattered, he was too tired to care. With one last yawn, Harry fell asleep.
***Back with Sirius and Remus***
“Did you feel that?” Remus asked as they sat up in bed, drenched in sweat and gasping for breath.
“He’s finally come into his inheritance,” Sirius said with a smile. “We can finally get our little sub.”
“Let’s go and get him,” Remus said as he climbed out of bed and changed into his clothes.
“But it’s late and-“Sirius was silenced by a kiss from Remus.
“I’m the sensible one so listen to me,” Remus said in his professor voice causing Sirius to snicker.
“And?” Sirius asked with a smile but he soon found his clothes thrown at him.
“Get changed and remember to keep the glamour up on your dog demon bits, you don’t want to scare our mate too much.” Remus said as Sirius got dressed.
Soon they were gone, to find their mate by using a special portkey that would take them straight to him.
