Quiet Moments

Severus wakes up and wonders why at 3 o’clock in the morning?

It was 3 o’clock in the morning when Severus Snape, the potion master of Hogwarts, woke up suddenly, as he moved to see what had awaken him he felt this light, little movement in his side. Severus looked to his left to see his lover of five years, was lying right up to his side with a arm over his chest and his stomach pushed right up to his side. He smiled as he looked at Harry’s face while he slept, ‘I still wonder what he ever sees in me after all these years, but hay I have the most perfect and beautiful lover that has the most perfect rounded stomach’.

While Severus was watching Harry sleep he felt the little movement again, he smiled as he placed his hand close to where he felt it and there it was again. Under the skin of his lover’s stomach, Severus felt his first unborn child kicking inside; as Severus slowly sat up he moved Harry’s arms and gently rolled him on his back so not to wake him up. Severus looked at Harry and saw that he was still asleep, as he moved his hand back again to Harry’s stomach and he felt the baby kick again. Harry is 6 months pregnant. Boy! Was that a shock? They have been going out for five years next week; it was hard at first with the preparing and training Harry for the second war.

It’s started out with just private training lessons, weaponry training, combat and all kinds of magical defence training. As time went on there were loads of arguments and screaming matches, at one point there were curses thrown. The breaking point was when the tension was so high between them, which they both cracked and lunged at each other, wands forgotten in a full on fistfight between them. After punching and kicking at each other, both seem to have run out of steam. Both of them stopped when they noticed there clothes and bodies where tangled up on the floor. Then they both noticed how they were on top of each other and it took Harry and Severus took a couple minutes to digest what happened and both of them quickly tried to get up and without touching in curtain places.

Once they both got free of each other and they quickly separated them selves, as far as they can. There was nothing said seeing as there was nothing to say, but Harry looked up and was shocked to see his Professors so out of place and out of character with his clothes creased, he then noticed his hair was all other the place and couldn’t see the Professors face. Harry wanted to say something but didn’t know what, so instead he went look for his wand and book bag. When he found it he also found another wand, just laying there a couple inches away from his own. It’s a lot darker and just a bit longer then his own wand, as he went to pick it up he heard, “leave it and get out.”

So Harry did as fast as he can, all the way to Gryffindor common room, and shouted the password and ran up the stairs to his dormitory and was in his bed in seconds as it was so late. After the fight things seem to have levelled out, there were fewer arguments, less tension between them. It was a slow start between them, but both stopped and got to know each other after that and became friends and started calling each other by their first names. They both talk about everything and both admitted their attraction to the same sex. It was hard to say when the attraction to each other started but just before when the war, Harry admitted he was scared and he didn’t want to die without experiencing sex, so he asked Severus to be his first just for one night and with no strings. The light side won the war of course but they lost loads of people, the only people that survived were Harry’s two best Friends and half the Order. Harry took it hard as he lost his friends and it took a while to come through and stop blaming himself afterwards and would not have come through without Severus.

Severus was there for Harry, all the way through his depression, then became close friends and developed even more feelings for each other, even admitted they both wanted each other. Even started dating and which lead them to fall in love. Like normal relationships there was the odd fights and making up but they did get really close. Harry told his two best friends, they were shocked but they could see how Severus made him really happy. 4 and half years later they’re still strong and shocked to have found out that Harry was pregnant. Severus had trouble getting use to it at first, which cause more fights and arguments. They even nearly lost the baby because of it, but it only pulled them closer and Severus proposed and Harry said yes but didn’t want to get bonded till after the baby was born. That’s where we are now, at Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry, down in the dungeons and in the potion masters quarters at 3 o’clock in the morning with Severus stroking Harry’s stomach.

While Severus was lost in thought thinking about the past, he didn’t notice that he was stroking Harry’s stomach and had woken him up until he heard, “Mmmmm Sev…. what you doing?” Severus was so shocked when he heard Harry speak, led him to fall out of the bed and straight onto the floor in a thud. Now Harry was awake when he heard Severus fall out of bed, and started laughing. Severus finely got up off the floor and glared at Harry and said “Its not funny, its all your fault for taking up my side of the bed.” Harry just rolled on his back and just started laughing. But didn’t noticed that Severus had gotten off the floor and got on the bed and so Severus started to tickle Harry to death, Harry stop laughing and said, ”Sev… stop…. Please.” But Severus was having none of it and tickled more until Harry had tears running down his face.

Severus could see that he won so he stopped and made sure Harry was all right then whispered in his ear, “That will teach you to take over my side of the bed.” Severus said as he smiled. Harry got his breath back and said, “I will get you for that.” And laid back down. Severus got up and sorted the bed covers out and got back into bed, as he laid his head down on the pillow Harry asked,” What was you thinking about when I woke up? You looked like you was really thinking about something, ”Severus looked over at Harry and said, “I was just thinking about how we got together.” “Oh…. Ok.” Harry moved over and cuddles up to Severus’s side. “What else were you thinking about?” Severus looked at Harry and said, “Our baby seeing as it woke me up, with u laying up against my side, I felt this little movement and it woke me up”. Harry smiled and said, “Its not my fault that he or she is learning how to play quidditch.”

Severus laughed, “Yeah but he or she will be a slytherin, I will make sure,” He said. Harry laughed and leaned up to kiss Severus on the lips and said, “Don’t worry your get to teach potions to our child but I think the other one would like to play quidditch, “ Harry said with a smile. Severus smiled and then said, “WHAT.” Severus looked over at Harry and saw that he was smiling and Harry said, “Poppy told me this morning that she got it wrong, there was two heart beats but she didn’t see before and its official, we’re having twins,” Harry said while smiling. Severus didn’t know what to say, he was so shocked, but then after thinking about it a couple minutes he smiled and said, “ Then we had better make use of our quiet moments together.” Severus pulled Harry up close and kissed Harry’s forehead and closed his eyes, while Harry got comfortable and fell asleep. They both dreamed of their two boys and the future they were going to have.
