The Debt

AN: Hi there! I have been gone for a long time. I know sucks doesn't it? Well here is something I cooked up just 30 mins ago. Enjoy.

The Debt

Summary: Harry saves Draco's life when he finds he unconscious near the Forbidden Forest. Draco wants to pay the debt back but little does he know that a life debt isn't repaid that easily.

Chapter One

He just had to get out. He couldn't even breath properly. He panted as he ran as fast as he can. He felt as if his legs had reached an ultimate speed limit and they couldn't stop running. He ran even after he got through the front doors of Hogwarts. He ran until he reached the edge of Forbidden Forest. He stopped to lean on a near by tree as he tried to catch his breath frantically. He kept looking towards the Castle doors to see if he was being followed. It appared he was not and he could relax for a while. He fell on his knees cluthing his sides. His face betrayed the pain he was feeling. Lifting his hand away from his right side, he looked at his fingers which were stained with blood. It hurt too much to even breath. The scenery before his eyes was unstable and all the colours blend together. He felt like he was falling as he tried to keep himself conscious. He fought bravely but it was not enough as he soon closed his eyes and fell forward, hitting the ground.

--..--..--

Something was not right. Harry could feel it as he walked through the darm corridors of Hogwarts. He got an uneasy feeling as he got nearer one of the windows at the end of the corridor. He crept carefully forward even though he was under his invisibility cloak. Looking around with caution, his eyes scouted the scene outside the window. He found nothing out of ordinary until his gaze reached the edge of the forest. There! He was sure he saw something. He took a step closer to the window, trying to make out the figure he saw on the ground. He gasped in shock as he came into a realisation. There was no mistaking that blond head. It was Malfoy, lying on the ground. His blond hair was illuminated in the pale moonlight. It was like a distress beacon, calling out for help. Not thinking twice he sprinted towards the main entrance which was two floors down from his position.

--..--..--

"Is he going to be all right?" he asked from Madame Pomfrey.

The school nurse frowned and glanced at the unconscious boy laying on one of the hospital beds. "Yes, he is in no immediate danger anymore thanks to you, Mister Potter. You can go to bed now. The Headmaster will talk to you in the morning."

Harry sighed in relief. He hated the blond boy but he never wished death for him. "Thank you, ma'am," he said and left the infarmary. The question remained, what had happened to Malfoy and why? It was obvious he had been hit with something other than just a mere curse. It had had to been something more serious than just a plain argument. No one fought that seriously over some petty grudge. Sighing, he made his way up to the Gryffindor tower. It was none of his business but he still should inform the Headmaster of what had happened and what he suspected.

AN: Ok, so should I continue this? I know this isn't much but my neck hurts :P Haha I know, a lame excuse but I don't care. Tell me what ya think. And I apologise every mistake I made. I got no spelling check on this pc so I have no idea what I just wrote. I will correct this once I get back at my own flat.
