Thus Let The Light Shine
A/N: the idea came from "the club Dumas"/ movie "the ninth gate" so there are a number of quotes ect. and no i dont own that story. but i wouldnt mind owning johnny depp.....
Chapter One
I couldn't help but huff in frustration. But quietly because the last thing I wanted right now was for Snape to become frustrated, or annoyed. I've been sitting here for a good 45 min. waiting for him to inform me on weather he will except me as his apprentice or not. He's been enjoying the tense silence, I just know it.
After 10 more min. He looks up and steeples his fingers under his chin.
"Miss. Granger, you do understand that under my authority there will be a number of things that will be required of you, and there will be no negotiating."
"I understand Professor."
He gives a short, curt nod and hands a stack of papers to me.
"I expect to see you here at 8:00 am sharp, monday morning."
One respectful nod latter and Im scuttling out of the room as fast as my little feet will take me.
I get up to the spare rooms that Im staying in for the summer and carefully (if not eagerly) go through the stack of parchment he handed me.
A list of rules, requirements, dates, and ... the contract.
Standard and the expected set up of tradition. After reading, I sign my name and watch the document disappear before my eyes.
Finally, after months of trying to convince him, Im officially his apprentice.
I smile to myself. The past two months have been hell. But it will be worth it. After all, i get to train with one of the best minds in potions.
'Requirements:' i glance thoughtfully.
"All black robes," Not a shock. "Hair pulled back at all times, live in dungeons, constant companionship unless otherwise specified, academic journal kept at all times, must establish a personal reading schedule/ personal studies, no holidays."
Well... It could be worse...
Actually its not bad at all. Except for the 'no holidays' deal. But then again its Snape...
I pull a calendar over, 2 days till monday. God knows i have a lot to get, not to mention figuring out the private studies thing.....
Private studies. Maybe i won't have to study just potions. Atleast there's a light in the tunnel.
