Wings of an Angel

It\'s happening again. Ron and Harry has scampered off to some corner of the Gryffindor common room and left her all alone after she once again completed their homework. This whole routine was gettig rather tiresome, and Hermione was feeling left out. It\'s been going on ever since school started and everyone started to get ready for their NEWTs.

It\'s not that she purposely annoyed them for the boys to leave her, but more like the fact that they\'ve all grown up and ran out of things to talk about. She tried to join in the conversations, she really did. But all they really talked about were Qudditch and girls, something that did not spark an interest in Hermione\'s books.

It might of been the fact that Hermione acted on the feelings she had for Harry at the end of the summer. All she did was try to hold his hands when they were on a midnight excrusion with Ron. He looked at her with an unusual and strained expression on his face and removed his hand. Her heart was crushed and tensions has been running high ever since.

Hermione sighed and went back to studying her Charms homework, but found that she could not concentrate at all. The lines of words seemed to be blurry as she tried to read on. At the end, she became fustrated and gathered all her stuff to go upstairs. Not a single goodnight was muttered to her as the boys went to their dormitries as well.

She changed out of her oversized school uniforms and into her pink pajamas, which only consisted of a small pink t-shirt and white boxers, then climbed into bed. Closing her eyes, her mind wandered to the other occupants of the school.

The trio was finally in their seventh year of Hogwarts. It was suppose to be their year to shine, not that they werent famous before, but the most glorious time of their life. After Voldemort was rid of at the beginning of summer in Sixth year, Everyone was finally able to return and start a new life.

Surprisingly, the school united as one when the Death Eaters attacked and all the older students from year Sixth and up attacked as the fifth year protected the younger. No one came out unscathed, and Hogwarts has lost some brave students. Colin Creevy now sported an eyepatch as he jumped on a Second year when the spell was shot and got his eye instead. Snape finally has his name cleared as Dumbledore\'s pensive was finally discovered by Professor McGonagle fully explaining what was going on in the brilliant mind. Dumbledore rose from the dead with a new age and new wisdom, how he did it no one understood, but had a connection with the phonix. This secret he told no one, and decided to keep to himself when asked upon.

People changed and many were surprised to what side they had took. Most of the Slytherins went with the light side, minus few like Parkinson and Crabbe. Malfoy came back and was cleared of his name as well when he took off his Death Eater robes and saved a first year from a brutal death. He killed his own father when Lucius threatened to kill Hermione herself, and she was grateful for him.

Her last coherent thought before sleep consumed her was how different Draco Malfoy looked without a sneer on his face.
