the one thing that struck me, was that you mentioned Dumbledore used a horcrux to come back. to make a horcrux you have to murder someone and then split your soul. Dumbledore kept saying what an evil thing this was to do. I cant believe that Dumbledore would do that. Now you could have Dumbledore have some other mystical power, perhaps he is related to his pheonix familiar in some way and rises from the ashes, but the horcrux would not be a way for Dumbledore to come back. Personally, unless he is central to your story, I would just leave him dead, with McGonnegal now head of Hogwarts. Otherwise an entertaining start to a story.
