Chap 1.

Draco Malfoy. A name that struck fear in the hearts of enemies. Or so he thinks.

Without his parents, and his own cart, the sixteen year old pushed his way through the barrier to the Hogwarts express. With a sigh, and finally in his own area, far away from wandering, useless muggles, he smirks. Pushing his cart easily throughout the drowds of students kissing their dear mummies good bye, giving their dads loving hugs. Best wishes. Be careful. Bla bla fucking bla.

Rolling his eyes, the pale teen gets his cart up to the train and levitates his bags into the empty car that his group of friends always used.

Checking a neaby clock, there was still half an hour before the train left, so shutting the blinds and slipping into his school robes, he jumps out f the train and onto the platform, glancing around, but not seeing any of his buddies.

Being a Malfoy, he did not show much emotion through physical changes, he locked his disapointment inside, and rather acted dismissive towards the first years who were near tears when seeing the older, more advanced students surrounding them.

A slow smirk pulls the corner of his mouth upwards as what looked like a miniature Draco tripped and fell. His brows came together. Strange, really does look like a mini Draco. Only he was tanner than Draco could ever be, and his hair was more golden than silver. Draco sighs and blinks away the first year, pinning his Prefect badge to his chest and stretching his neck, noticing Crabbe and Goyle coming through the passageway and making his way over to them.

Not saying anything, as per usual, the three Slytherins make it back to the train and settle down in their Car, waiting for Pansy and Blaise to make themselves known before setting off to the school.

Stepping through the barrier to Platform 9 3/4, Harry Potter emerged pushing his cart. He had to walk past the kiddies and their parents bidding farewell quickly, avoiding looking at any of them. This summer had proven to be a hard one. Harry no longer could look forward to Sirius\' fatherly letters. Not since the Ministry incident...

Shaking the thoughts out of his head, Harry waited for his two best friends, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger, to come through, before starting off towards the steaming train.

After they boarded, they made their way through the bustling corridor. Searching for an empty compartment was never easy, but they soon found one somewhere close to the end. \"How about this one?\"

Ron and Harry nodded, pushing themselves inside. \"Merlin it\'s crowded out there,\" Ron commented.

Harry didn\'t reply, just shrugging. He had been doing alot of that lately. It hurt to speak; there seemed to be an ever present lump settled in his throat whenever he tried to say anything, so he preferred to keep quiet.

Looking at her muggle watch, Hermione gave Harry a sympathetic look before stating, \"Sorry, Harry. Ron and I have to go to the Prefects compartment for the meeting. We\'ll be back as soon as we can.\" She gave Harry a quick kiss on the cheek before leaving with a reddening Ron.

Harry sat back and sighed. Alone.

Draco hung around until the last second before going to the front of the train for the usual meeting of, bla bla bla, head boy, no hexing... rules... bla bla important.... examples for First Years... bla bla bla.... we\'re done... have fun... bla bla... good bye.

Finally clean of all that, Draco couldn\'t help but stare at Granger. That stupid Mudblood, getting made into a Prefect. Dispicable.

With a roll of his eyes, he decides it\'d be best to patrol the isles instead of going back and getting pinned about why his father wasn\'t around anymore.

Draco was utterly pissed at the fact that Potter had sent his father to Azkaban. Swallowing thickly, he passed Harry\'s car door and glanced in, seeing the scarred boy there alone.

Oh yes. His friends were Prefects.. and he wasn\'t. A slow smile curls the corners of his lips and he pulls open the door.

\"All alone Potter? Not planning anymore nightly escapes from Hogwarts, are you?\" He asks, a thin silver brow rising up to dissapear in his silver blond bangs.

Harry looked up when he heard someone open the door, expecting to find Ron and Hermione. Instead what met his eyes was Draco Malfoy. He might have retorted something to Malfoy\'s blow, but he couldn\'t feel bothered.

\"Leave me alone, Malfoy,\" he replied icily.

Draco smirked at Harry even more. \"Oh, but I\'m afraid I can\'t do that. You see, I\'m a prefect, but I\'m sure you know what by now, and you\'re acting suspicious. So I think I\'m just going to stay right here until your little mudblood and muggle lover friends come back, right?\"

Smiling and crossing his arms over his thin chest, he leans against the doorway.

\"Really low what you did to my father. We both know that he\'s clean. He\'s been clean of the Dark Lord for ages. Naming people who are innocent, abusing your power Potter, Abusing your power.\"

A growl came out of Harry when he heard Malfoy insult his friends. He was going to speak when the irritationg boy spoke again. What he had to say was outraging.

\"Excuse me, Malfoy? Your father is Voldemort\'s favorite little death eater, and was there on the night of the attack at the Ministry, and you know it. He\'s just another one of Voldemort\'s pathetic followers and you\'ll be one too, I\'m sure. You and father can kiss the hem of that disgusting excuse for a wizard\'s robes and look up to one of the biggest hypocrites there ever was.\" Harry paused, taking in a calming breath so as not to get expelled for strangling a fellow tudent before even reaching Hogwarts. \"And talk about me abusing my power? You are the one using your power to make the students younger than you quiver and cower at you. You\'re just as pathetic and hypocritical as your dear halfblood leader.\"

Draco\'s eyes narrow at the boy as he reaches into his pocket for his wand when Hermione raises a brow at him. Pulling out a peice of chocolate, he smiles softly and pops it into his mouth, glaring back at Harry before walking up to his own car and slamming the door hard enough to break glass.

\"FUCKING HELL!\" He shouts and repairs the window before collapsing onto the seat, resting his head in Pansy\'s lap.

\"What\'s got you all pissy, Dray?\" Blaise asks, reclining in the other seat, causing Crabbe and Goyle to sit on the floor.

\"Fucking Potter. Going about my father and He-who-Must-Not-Be-Named like we\'re lower than the earth. We all know that You-Know-Who is going to take down Dumbledore. There\'s nothing he\'s afraid of...\" He trails off, Pansy smiling down at him an stroking his hair back from his face. He reaches up and carresses her cheek and mumbles something that only she could hear that caused a flush to fill her cheeks.

Lowering his hand back down he closes his eyes. \"No more talking until we\'re at the school, I havn\'t been sleeping well this summer.\" Was all he said, and as far as anyone knows, that room was never quieter.

\"What was that about?\" Hermione asked Harry, who was leaning back against the seat with his eyes closed, as though he was tired at looking at the world.

Harry shrugged, surprise, surprise. \"Came in here to tell me off for accusing his father of being inline with Voldemort and that I was abusing my power. I just told him that his leader was a hypocrite and so was he.\"

Hermione went over and sat next to him, putting a hand on his shoulder in sympathy. \"Just ignore him. He\'s just being a prat, not to mention he\'s probably a little sore at having his father placed in Azkaban.\"

\"Yeah mate.\" Ron came up and settled in the seat across from them both. \"He\'s not worth it.\"

Harry kept his eyes closed for the rest of the train ride, not participatiing in the conversation Hermione and Ron were sharing about something he wasn\'t even following. He hadn\'t been sleeping too well, as his dreams were filled with Sirius falling through the black Veil at the Ministry.
