Satan's Apple
Prologue
Please allow me to introduce myself. I am the ruler of Wizarding Britain, well, all of Britain, actually, since the Muggles have yielded to my rule as well. Why have I succeeded where other dark wizards have failed? That is quite easy, actually. I am the off-spring of an extremely intelligent witch and a cunning and powerful wizard.
You see it was my destiny to defeat Harry Potter. Thus, my parents schooled me on the lessons taught or learned from all of the most powerful of our kind. I learned of the mistakes made by those who preceded me, namely Grindelwald and Voldemort. I learned not to be so caught up in my own power that I dismiss that of others, I learned that even though The Great Salazar Slytherin was right to mistrust those of non-wizarding ancestry that did not equal superiority of the wizarding peoples.
It would be quite arrogant of me to believe in blood superiority. I learned that mistake from a Muggle, Adolf Hitler. Why believe that a race to which one does not belong is superior. Quite ludicrous! Like Voldemort, my mother taught me to say his name (my father still does not), I am a half-blood. My beautiful mother is Muggle-born and my caring father is a Pure-blood wizard. It is because of them that all of Britain is united under me. Fearing me. Worshipping me. I am their Lord. Their Master. Their Messiah.
The story you are about to read is not so much my story, but the story of my parents. How they came to be together though no one would have ever thought it possible. How they made me. I owe them this. If it were not for them I would not have become the wizard that I am today. Perhaps someday I will commission someone to write of my childhood, or my fantastic defeat of the fool Dumbledore and the idiot Potter. For now, though I am content to let you know of my parents: Hermione Granger (though she has been known to torture those who call or mention her by that name, she once cast the Cruciatus Curse on me in my adolescence for being brazen enough to do just that) and Severus Snape (his preferred form of punishment was the use of Legilimency and the imperious curse, he rewarded me when I fought off both successfully).
I am Satan Snape! And these are my parents . . . .
