Chapter One: Arrival

As Hermione opened the door into the compartment on the Hogwarts Express, she felt excited, her 6th year at Hogwarts, with her friends, What more could be better? When she saw the faces of Harry and Ron, she was delighted, she hadn’t seen them all summer. However, when she saw Harry, she hugged him, she knew of all the trouble he had been going through with Sirius gone and all.

“No, no, don’t remind me Hermione.. I miss him too much...” Harry murmured.

“You need a hug, hugs are the one way to make people feel better! Just think of it Harry, if everyone got a hug today, think about all of the troubles that would be gone.” Hermione said.

Aside from the rickety shaking of the train, the ride to Hogwarts was uneventful. Hermione, Ron, and Harry told of their summers. Ron had just gone through quite a long story of how Fred and George had stolen Ginny’s diary and performed a spell that read it aloud whenever she entered the room.

“Ugh, it was funny at first, but seriously after hearing Ginny’s little poem to you on Valentine’s day the other year, it got pretty sickening, and whenever Mum saw Fred and George, she chucked a pan at them and tried to get them to stop it. Ginny was red all summer” explained Ron.

Harry and Hermione laughed. It was the first time all of them had heard Harry laugh in awhile, and Hermione and Ron knew of all the pain he gone through in all his years at Hogwarts. They knew it would take awhile, but Harry would pull himself through Sirius's death, as long as his friends supported him. Changing into their robes, they heard the soft pitter-patter of rain drops falling on the train. It was calming, but foreboding in a sense also.

When the train finally stopped and the carriages had brought them to the castle, Filch was outside collecting hundreds upon hundreds of broomsticks. Students were arriving in every direction, but they didn’t look familiar. They were dressed quite differently than an average Hogwarts student.

“What’s going on?” asked Ron.
“Iunno,” said Harry, “but we’ll find out. Come on, let’s go in.”
The trio dodged all of the puddles, but Ron, in a desperate attempt to avoid Peeves dropping a bucket of water on him, fell into a puddle. Harry tripped over Ron and landed on top of Ron.
"I WILL get that poltergiest someday" Ron gritted under clenched teeth.
"Honestly, you two" as Hermione laughed, she had stopped short of Harry falling in but still recieved a splash of the water.

Entering that maginificent room with its high ceilings, the Great Hall seemed bigger, there were extra tables where walls had before been. It seemed as though the same charm Mr. Weasley had used on the backseat of his car to fit the entire Weasley family in the back seat had been used on the room. It was filled with about five more long tables, for which it seemed, new visitors. Ron, Herione, and Harry sat down at the Gryffindor table and debated the change in scenery.

“Well, they can’t be having another TriWizard Tournament... after what happened last time” Ron as he soon quieted.
“Yeah, that’s true, but what on earth could be going on? Who are these random visitors to Hogwarts?” Harry said.
All of the sudden, a hand leaned itself on the back on Hermione’s shoulders. Surprised, she turned around and gasped. “Oh my gosh! What on earth are you doing here!” she squealed.

"Vell vat is not the answer I expected from my Herm-own-ninny..." Krum muttered.

"Oh no Krum, I just hadn't expected to see you here! Why are you here?" she gasped.

"Vell, our school was shut-down for almost half of the year the year after the Tri-Wizard tournament. Threats from Death Eaters had been coming in and they had blown up a portion of our school, so in immediate action to protect everyone, we were all sent home. With the new arrivals, and mosst of the school missing, I am not able to complete my 8th year at Durmstrang. All 8th years were sent here, for unlike you, we have an 8th year. Our first year was split into two years, one for basics, and another for the intense education of the Dark Arts. Now, I've come to Hogwarts, where we are the equivalent to you 7th years." he explained.

"Oh, well I'm so glad you are here!" Hermione hugged him, "I've missed you so!"

Ron rolled his eyes. He obviously didn't approve of Hermione and Krum. Harry didn't care much, is jus just the age difference of Krum and Hermione and how much the fame of a Quiditch player could change someone.

The sorting commenced, and Krum sat down with Malfoy at the Slytherin table. Hermione faced him from the Gryffindor table, and he was shooting her looks all throughout the sorting, pointing out the door. She understood, he wanted her to meet him outside the Great Hall after the sorting while everyone was eating. As "Zothier, Jonathan" was sorted into Slytherin and Dumbledore had let the feasting commence, Hermione aimed to dart out the door.

Ron called out, "Hermione, where are you going? Aren't you going to eat, the feast is quite lovely this year"

Hermione faked a stomach ache, "I'm not feeling so well, I'm going to just lie down tonight." She added "See you in the morning guys," and darted out the door.

Krum was leaning against the wall, looking quite attractive with his sandy hair, then looked up at her with those brown eyes. Hermione could just die there, how could she have not noticed how sexy he was. He flipped a sickle in the air, catching it and flipping again. Then, he slowly walked over to Hermione. He grazed her lip with the tip of his finger, making her tremble inside. "I've missed you Hermy"

He leaned down and starting planting soft kisses on her lips slowly descending until he reached the nape of her neck. He engulfed her neck and started massaging it with his tongue, sucking gently, and setting off explosions inside Hermione, she had never experienced this before. What was he doing? She felt excited, but at the same time, scared. This huge brawly man was giving her a hickey in the hallway. What on earth? This was too much for unexperienced mind, but her body was sending different messages, every second or so, the tingles in her neck would trigger her mouth to allow the escape of a soft moan.

Sounds from the Great Hall had emerged and the footsteps of students billowing in their direction soon engulfed Hermione's ear.

"We need to go," she managed to say still emerged in Krum kissing her neck.

"If," he planted a kiss on her neck, "I" and again, "must.." and then gave Hermione a passionate kiss, slowly leaving, her lips wanting more from him, but her mind wishing he would stop then and there. Krum placed a note in her hand, and said "Hopefully, I'll see you" gave a slight wink, and then he strutted off. Her mouth open with amazement, Hermione just stood, there as students hurried behind her. As Neville accidentally was shoved into her, she awoke from her amazement. She shook her head, and proceeded to the dormatories.

After Neville apologized and opened the portrait hole for Hermione, and she sat in one of the comfy chairs in the Common Room, away from everone else to read the note. She unfolded the parchment and read,

"Hermy,
I been dying to see you all year. Meet me by the edge of the Forribidden Forest at midnight this Saturday.
Let no one know, not even Potter or Weasley, I want to see you alone.
Love,
Krum"

She sighed. Then, Ron and Harry approached her.

"Hermione, where were you, we've been looking all over. I thought you went to bed," Ron said, worried.

"Oh, I was having a chat with Krum" she smiled, and put the note in her pocket.

They didn't need to know. She closed her eyes and smiled.
