Title: Finally Home

Spoilers: Books 1 – 5 (please do not flame me that this story spoiled all the books. You all have been amply warned) =)
Disclaimer: I own nothing. J.K. Rowling and company own everything.
FF disclaimer: I will go on record to state that this is my story and no others. No insults are intended if other authors ideas may look to be in this story…just flattery that I liked them enough to use basic ideas in this story. If you happen to see something that is very similar to another author’s story, please let me know and I will give credit where credit is due.
Rating: NC-17
Warnings: Well….hmmmm….there will be snogging and more.
Category: H/Hr, R/L (hint of others) Romance post-Hogwarts (I am out of school and have a hard time being convinced that I knew enough about life and love at that age. Of course, I still ponder whether or not I do now years later…)
Finally Home
Graduation day:
The three friends were happy and exhausted. They had made it through the seven years at Hogwarts, and lived to not only see the Dark Lord taken down, but were the main participants in the one last, and final battle. They had endured rigorous study sessions (ran by a certain bushy-haired female), nasty teachers, and nastier tests. They had done it and this was their day.
To the rest of the school, everything looked normal about them. They all had dates for the graduation celebration. They all looked happy. They really were happy, but to anyone extremely close to them, or just very intuitive, they were not as happy as the world would expect.
They were each concerned about many things. But one thing alone actually scared them. Losing each other and the bond they have is what frightens them the most. They worked so hard to get to where they are, harder than most friendships.
This bond was something that most people do not ever get a chance to experience.
To lose it, after all they had been tgh, gh, was a tragic thought.
Hermione had made the other two promise that after the celebration, they would sneak off to the Room of Requirement one last time. To talk, she said. Not one of them even thought to say no.
After all the dancing, eating and general celebrating, the trio made their ways separately to the Room of Requirement. After all three had arrived and sat down, Hermione was the first to speak.
“I guess you two might be wondering what I needed all three of us ere ere for. I just wanted to let you two know that I am going to do everything within my power to make sure that we never lose any us. Meaning that this bond will never dissolve. Not while I have another breath in my body,” Hermione stated, as tears began forming in her eyes.
Ron and Harry looked at her and each other.
“You are right, ‘Mione. It will never happen. Will it Ron?” Harry replied.
“No way on this earth,” was Ron’s simple reply.
By this time, when both boys, no – young men, had finished their pledges, Hermione was an emotional mess. Both Harry and Ron came over to her and they hugged each other as if none would ever let go. Hermione pulled away slightly, and wiped her eyes.
“Then right here, right now, we must make a pact. A wizard’s pact that we will never let anything stand in the way of our friendships. I don’t mean anything too co-dependent. Just that we will always be there for each other and that we will make a weekly, or bi-monthly date, with just the three of us.” Hermione looked at her friends.
Neither Ron nor Harry needed more than a second to think about it.
“Of course we will,” they both replied in unison.
