Chapter 9!
Hermione was sitting on her bed staring at her wrists.
'I wish they would have just let it happen.' She was saying to herself.
Telling herself that she was useless and had no reason to be here. She couldn't handle being a plaything anymore.
There was a tentative knock on her door and she slowly looked up.
The door was pushed open and emerald green eyes peirced her brown ones.
Harry walked slowly into her room, staring into her eyes, never looking away.
Hermione wanted to break the eye contact, but she just couldn't. Her self-pity was so intense that Harry felt it as soon as he entered the room.
"Hermione.." How was he going to say this?
He took a deep, steadying breath and sat on his knees in front of her bed. He looked up at her and she seen his eyes were glassy.
"Listen..I know about everything. No one told me." He felt he needed to get that out now. He didn't need her to be any more mad at Draco then she already was. "I have known for a while now. I was just avoiding it. I didn't want to believe it was true."
She was completely shocked.
Her mouth moved but no words came out.
"You need our help Hermione, let us help you..please."
"I don't need help Harry." She spat out. His words seemed fake to her ears. No one wanted to help her, they just thought it would be the right thing to do. She wouldn't have it. "I don't need anybodys help. I can take care of myself." She said defiantly.
"No Hermione...you can't." He whispered. "Look at you. If you could take care of yourself, why would you let this happen? Why would you not tell anyone? Let anybody know what was happening? You need our help, and we are not going to sit by and watch you die. We love you..."
"You don't even know what love is." She said.
"Oh..and you do I suppose?"
She bit her lip, and could hardly see. Her tears were blurring her vision.
Harry stood up.
"We won't give up on you." He told her as he walked out of the door.

Draco decided that it would probably be better if he wasn't there while Harry and Hermione were talking.
He sat in his room and dreaded what would fall upon Harry when Hermione lashed out at him.
He was immersed in his own thoughts when there was a soft tapping on the window.
He looked up and seen his beautiful owl, tapping the window , something hanging out of her beak.
He jumped up and crossed to the sill, opened the latch and she flew through, dropping the thing on his bed, and flying directly back outside again.
He wished she would have stayed.
He approached his bed and picked up and short letter.
*
Dear Young Mr.Malfoy.
At your request, and your money, we had this shipped to you as fast as possible. We hope it is exactly what you were looking for.
Enjoy.
Borgan and Burke.
*
Draco picked up the package and unwrapped it. Inside were two bracelets. One was engraved "Hermione, All my love:Draco" on the back, the other one just said "Draco" on it.
He knew these would work, Borgan and Burke were masters at dark magic, or any magic in that case.
As he was clasping his on, Harry entered his room.
"Man that girl is so depressed. We need to help her Malfoy... Whats that?"
"Okay, so these are those charmed bracelets. Hermione will, of course, have no idea, because she is certain that she needs no help. She will wear hers, and if she is ever in any trouble, mine will start to burn. I can then apparate directly to her side, the bracelets have a link between them. Its so genius."
Harry approached Draco and took it into his hand.
"So she will just think its a normal bracelet then?"
"Exactly!!"
"Hmm...hope she doesn't take it off."
"She won't" Draco said certainly.
"I'll be right back, I'm going to give it to her now."
*************
Draco entered Hermiones room and walked directly to her.
She didn't look up until he was right by her side.
"Hey" He said.
"Hi" she whispered timidly.
"I have something for you."
Her eyes narrowed a little bit.
"Hold out your arm."
She did so, nervously.
Draco clasped the bracelet on and pulled his hands away, beaming with pride. Mostly at his sneakyness.
Hermione looked down at it, sucking in a breath when she seen it. It was plain, but it still managed to be lovely.
"You don't need to give me things." She said, trying to unclasp it.
He grabbed onto her hands.
She stiffened, but only for a moment, before letting herself relax.
"Don't take it off..please. I want you to always remember me. This way I will always be with you."
She looked up into his eyes, "Thank you so much Draco.."
He reached forward and embraced her in a hug. It felt awkward, but seemed necessary.
"Your welcome."
*******************************
The rest of the week went by normal enough. Hermione's face was not bruised anymore, so she continued going to her classes. Alot of questions were asked about her whereabouts, but the staff had let it slide. She was still the top student, even after missing 4 days of much needed class time.
As the week came to a close. Snape had been on their case about the sessions he had planned with Hermione.
She refused him.
He couldn't MAKE her go.
She wouldn't.
***************************
The days turned into weeks, and sooner than anyone had expected Christmas was approaching. In one weeks time, the student body would either be at home, sitting around warm fires, drinking egg nog with their friends. Or sitting at the school, around a warm fire drinking egg nog with their friends.
There were 3 students who were not excited.
"Come home with me Hermione, Don't go back!" Draco pleaded one night.
She was showing so much more potential, she was normal.
Almost happy.
Now she would need to go back and everything would be ruined again.
All of their hard work to make her feel wanted and loved would just be thrown out the damn window.
They had finally helped her understand that they were not there to hurt her. They were there to help. Help with anything, at all. Even if she just needed to talk, they would talk with her.
She apologized to Draco for her attitude towards him, and told him that she was just extremely confused about everything that was happening.
He understood.
"I can't do that Draco. Other then the facts that I am a mudblood, and your parents absolutely detest me, I need to go home. It will just cause trouble if I don't."
"It will cause more trouble if you do, Hermione." Harry told her.
The three had been spending more time together.
Hermione's troubles had brought together two of the biggest enemies ever.
She reached down and touched her bracelet. "Please don't argue with me..this will be the last time. If he pulls any shit I will hurt him..I promise. I just need to go home. I need to be in the place my mother once lived. I need to have my own time. No offence, but you guys haven't given me any space. I swear if Archie even touches me I will split, and be at your house Draco. You better warn your parents the inadequate may be hanging around more often." She said the last part mockingly.
Harry was going to Dracos also.
Ron was pretty much cut out of the picture. He never understood Hermione's pain, and even though they used to be best friends Harry couldn't make himself tell him. He probably wouldn't understand it anyway.
"You promise us Hermione? If ONE thing goes wrong, I want you at my Manor immediatly. We will know if you lie." Draco told her.
"I know.." She said.
A/N- now i know its kinda short and boring, but the NEXT chapter is where its gunna pick up again. It wont be posted till tommorow cuz we are re-doing our basement and im also trying to help with that. Jeeezus eh, sorry guys. Just be patient with me!!!
I love you allll!!!
