Chapter 9.

Harry was restless. The reason for this was that he was waiting and he hated waiting. The supposed boy wonder stood up and started pacing.

“Harry you need to calm down or else someone will hear your pacing and start to get suspicious.” Severus Snape snapped at him.

“But why haven’t we heard anything? They should be done by now.” Harry moaned.

The they that Harry was so worried about happened to be a certain dark lord and godfather. They had gone to see the vampire elders while Harry had to stay at the order headquarters. The reason was that he needed to maintain his image.

But that had been hours ago and Sirius had said that it wouldn’t take that long. Harry’s overactive imagination was providing him with all sorts of reasons for why they hadn’t returned yet and they were all painful. The first idea he had was that the vampires hadn’t wanted to join or were already working for the order and killed them. From that point on his ideas had been worst.

“Harry if you don’t sit down and stop worrying I’m going to be forced to give you a sedative.” Severus said nearly to the point of pulling his hair out.

“I would be very upset with you if you did.” A voice said.

“Tom!” Harry cried throwing himself at the dark lord. “Why are you so late!”

“There were some problems.” Sirius said as Tom tried to hush Harry.

“What kind of problems?” Severus asked trying to keep the concern for his lover out of his voice.

“Nothing too serious.” The dark lord said as he sat down on the bed with Harry. “It would seem that there are some Dumbledor sympathisers among the vampire elders.”

Tom seemed ready to say more when there was a noise from the landing told them that someone was coming.

“Tom you have to go.” Harry said urgently. He didn’t want his love to get caught and killed. Tom nodded, kissed Harry goodbye and followed Severus out of the room. Five minutes later Dumbledor walked into the room.

“Ah Sirius I thought I saw you come in. Did you enjoy your walk?” He asked. All Sirius did was nod.


That night once everyone was asleep Harry decided that it was time to get some answers from the dark lord.

‘Tom’ Harry said through their link. There was no reply.

‘Tom answer me this second before you make me do something I may regret.’

~Harry I was trying to sleep~ Came the tired voice of the dark lord.

‘I don’t care. I want some answers or I will make sure that you don’t get any sleep.’ Harry said.

~Fine ask away! Tom sighed knowing he won’t get Harry away from this.

‘What were you going to say earlier before you had to leave. About the Dumbledor sympathisers.’

~Well apparently the old coot had done some favours for a few of the elders in order to gain their trust. Even though it is only a small number of them with the way the vampire elders work it was enough~ Tom said.

‘What do you mean?’ Harry queried.

~The elders take a vote and unless it is unanimous or only a maximum of two object the subject is discharged meaning that they will make no further discussion on it~

‘How is this nothing serious!’ Harry shout at Tom.

~Love all we have to do is show that we are working in their best interests and perhaps do a few favours. After that we will have them with us so it is not serious since it can be sorted. Now go to sleep and let me find some rest~

‘Alright Tom. I love you.’ Harry said as he closed his eyes.

~Night love~


Harry gritted his teeth as he made his way toward the Hogwarts express with Ron and Hermione. Ron was blabbering on about something that Harry just couldn’t be bothered to listen to. It was most likely stupid anyway.

As usual, much to Harry’s distaste, the trio found an empty compartment at the back of the train. So now Harry was stuck with tweedle-dee and tweedle-dum. Harry was put on alert when suddenly Hermione placed a silencing charm on the compartment.

“What are you doing?” He asked as the girl also warded them in.

“We wanted to talk to you.” Hermione said.

“About what?” Harry asked genuinely curious.

“You-know-who.” Ron whispered as if saying even that would bring the dark wizard down on them.

“What about him?” Harry asked tilting his head to one side and swallowing hard.

“Harry I know that it must be hard for you to talk about this after what happened but we must. He may try to do something again this year and we have to be ready.” Hermione said as if to a child.

Taking a deep breath Harry tried to rein in his temper. Who were they to try and be the all-caring friends all of a sudden? Then it hit him. Dumbledor must have told them to find out what happened and if he was still fit to be the saviour of the world.
Well, Harry thought evilly, time for some fun.

“I don’t know what will happen ‘Mione.” Harry whispered. “I guess he will come after me again since I was able to be taken from his grasp but I can’t think of how.”

“Don’t you have a mind link with him? I mean he used to send you nightmares.” Ron said blowing their cover to Harry. The only other to know about the link was Dumbledor meaning that they had to be doing this on his orders.

“I haven’t got anything from him in a while. I guess he realised that I was having visions and blocked the link.” Harry said playing ignorant.

“It does make sense.” Hermione nodded. “If he could get into your mind he would see that.”

So this was a bit of a boring chapter
But do not worry stuff will happen
