~Chapter 7~ Planning and more planning
Miriam awoke early the next morning, and without much thought dressed in her most normal looking muggle clothes with a loose fitting cloak over top, much like the ones you would see on person of the Gothic persuasion in the muggle cities. Skipping breakfast, more to avoid Dumbledore and Severus then to get where she was going early, after all apparating was almost instantaneous; Miriam proceeded to the edge of Hogwarts grounds, her cloak billowing about her as she walked briskly. She was on a mission, one unfortunately of her own making, had she only kept her knowledge to herself…
Once at the eof Hof Hogwarts grounds Miriam apparated to an alley in Edinborough near an unassuming grey three story building built out of rough hewn granite blocks. Before stepping out of the alley onto the busy street she ran her fingers across the rough coolness of the stones, needing the physical connection to ground her mind before stepping inside the building to further her current goal, one she wished wasn’t hers. After pausing a moment, she took a deep breath and sent out a silent prayer to whoever was listening out there, ‘I hope this goes well, Arnaut always could be a stubborn muggle bastard’. With out much more thought Miriam stepped into the atrium of the unassuming building whose sign out side the door simply stated “The Society for the Ethical Study of Religious Foundation” the building and the sign were the cover currently used for the Inner Sanctum of the Order of the Temple, sometimes it was best to hide in a very public place under a very boring title, one was best hidden when one assumed the façade of a boring life.
Once inside Miriam apprapproached by a small withered old man, “May I help you Miss…?” he asked in a frail voice. “Potter, Miriam Potter. I am here to see Sir St. Clair, Master of the Temple.” She replied with a slight bow to the elderly man who wore simple black slacks and a white shirt and a silver cross pâté on a leather cord around his neck. “Sir St. Clair is not available for meetings with women of the street.” the old man sneered at Miriam. “Look old man, I am trying my best to hold my temper sho show you the respect due your age and Order. I am Miriam Potter, Professor of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and Chief Auror to the International Ministry of Magic. You will immediately announce me to Sir. St. Clair or you will be spending your next life as a pet rat. DO… I… MAKE… MY… SELF… CLEAR?” The elderly member of the order let out a loud sniff and turned on his heal and headed towards a back room, she heard him knock on a door and announce to the Master of the Temple that a ‘young woman was hear to see him and was most insistent on speaking with him.’ she also heard her name, then the elderly man returned and showed her to Arnaut’s office.
“Ahh…Miriam, I see you have made an impression on Sir D\'Anjou, Louis is not one to appreciate that women are able to do more then ummm….spread their legs.” began Arnaut with a laugh as Miriam walked in.
“I see, but you might want to consider giving your doorman some lessons in manners” Miriam said, more to D’Anjou who was just shutting the door which finished closing with a loud thud. Miriam of course emphasizing the term doorman knowing full well that the old man was a full knight of the order.
“So, to what do I owe the honor of a visit of the Chief Auror?” Arnaut asked smirking.
“Arnaut, this is official business unfortunately, as much as I wish it were a chance to catch up with an old University friend. I, I mean we, at Hogwarts need some help from the Temple.” Miriam replied.
“How so? The Temple will help if we have the ability to do so, to a point that does not jeopardize our larger mission.” Arnaut said.
“I believe that this will fall under your larger mission, didn’t you tell me years ago that the Mission of the Temple was to rout out those who brought evil to the world and sought to conquer those who were weaker and those who were on the righteous path?”
“Yes…but I don’t understand…”
“Voldemort is back Arnaut, he is back and there just might be a way to rid the world of him forever, but I…we need the Temple’s help.”
“When? How? Why in the HELL weren’t we informed?! So help me I am going to kick that old coot’s ass when I see him, Damn Dumbledore!”
“Yes, the phrase ‘Damn Dumbledore’ seems quite popular these days.” Miriam replied dryly. “But back to the point at hand, Voldemort is back, and we may have a way to defeat him once and for all.”
“What is it that the order can do to help?” Arnaut asked almost afraid to hear the answer, because Miriam’s mind was like a safe, once things went in she never forgot.
“We need the Sward of Holofernes, The Magdalene’s hair, and Aaron’s Breastplate, and if you know how to get it The Staff of Moses which I know is in the Vatican.”
“You don’t ask for much do you?” replied Arnaut “I will have to bring this up before The Circle before I can give you an answer on this.”
“I realize this Arnaut, but remind them this is Voldemort we are dealing with not Pontius Pilot and if I have to I know a few friends who wouldn’t mind paying a visit or two to your membership, to shall we say, convince them.”
“Miriam…” Arnaut sighed shaking his head, “that is not something that will help, trust me.”
“Do what you have to, but convince them Arnaut. It is imperative. Fate of the side of good is at hand.” Miriam said getting up “I have to return to Hogwarts there are other preparations to be made. If I don’t here from you I will return in three days.”
“I will be in touch as soon as I know something Miriam” Arnaut said rising with Miriam.

(Back at Hogwarts)
Miriam strode into Dumbledore’s office like she owned the place startling the headmaster who looked up quickly from what he was reading, she flung herself into the chair nearest his desk just as he was rising to greet her.
“Ahh Miriam, finally returned I see, how was your trip to Edinbourough? Eventful I trust.”
“About what I expected, they must discuss it Albus, Arnaut could not give me an answer he must take the issue before the council. Oh and Albus, it would have been wise to let them know Voldemort was back, Arnaut was pissed that they weren’t told.”
Dumbledore sighed, “I was not able to inform them, and I regret that, I was hoping in a way that we could handle it without involving the outside, but alas we cannot.”
“They are hardly outsiders Albus, over half their group is made up of magi, they are our allies’ plain and simple, if can’can’t see that then you are a fool.” Miriam said angrily.
“ I do see that they are our allies, but who we informed at the start took careful planning and the fact that they included muggles in their group was why the decision was to exclude them for now, no matter how noble their mission. It was beyond my control.”
“Bollocks! That is pure shit and you know it, you could have damn well let them know with or without anyone else’s approval, it’s not like Fudge could have stopped you. Besides I did not come back here to give you a report on what happened, rather I want a report from you, where are we with the supplies?
