Adjustments, Young Love, and Terms

Chapter 8- Adjustments, Young Love, and Terms
August 25, 2008

Harry woke up with the sun shining on his eyes. He fell back to the bed as he tried to get up. It didn't take long for him to find his problem. He looked down to find a mass of brown hair lying across his chest. He quietly slipped out of the bed only to watch Hermione whimper from the loss of his warm body. He decided to take a tour of his new home as Hermione slept.

Harry, after quickly getting dressed in his robes, left to check out the house. He went around the room to find it was a perfect model of his old room in the Gryffindor tower. He quietly slipped out the door noticing that the once dusty halls of the Shrieking Shack was replaced hallway covered in soft candle light of the new Potter Manor. The once falling apart stairs were now a sold marble staircase. The lower level that used to be only rubble and dust was transformed into a kitchen, dining room, and living room the Dursley's would kill for. They were, like the rest of the manor, painted in Gryffindor colors. Harry noticed a set of spiral stairs leading down from the living room leading to the first dungeon. Dobby must have known Hermione's tastes as it was a huge library. Its shelves were empty, but Harry knew Hermione would love the chance to fill the huge room with books. Harry descended the stairs farther to see a second basement. This basement seemed to be a complete, un-stocked potions lab. It was full of empty vials on the shelves, cauldrons lining the floor with heat pits under them, and book holding stands by each cauldrons. Harry descended to the last basement. It was full of items that must have once been in the Gringotts vault of his family. There was what looked like a huge cauldrons big enough for Hermione to stand on Harry's shoulders and still be unable to climb out. There were books on a shelf that Harry reasoned were the books of alchemy that had still lain in the vault until this morning. Harry could see what looked like huge circles with a five pointed star inscribed inside of it. Each point of the star had runes adorning them. Harry soon spotted what looked to be a blacksmith's anvil. His eyes soon laid on the most unusual item in the whole room. It was what looked to be a mold of a human body, and seemed to have a funnel feeding into it.

Harry would have stayed to look over all his family's alchemic research, but he had other things to do today. The wedding had made him think of his life after Voldemort. He had waited too long to be happy already. He knew that if there was one person he would marry it would be Hermione. He knew that he didn't want to wait any longer then he had already to show Hermione just how much she means to him. He decided it was time that he cemented his relationship with Hermione. He would have to ask her to marry him, and he would have to do it soon. Harry took a moment to think about the perfect time to ask her, but he found he just couldn't wait. He smiled to himself, and he knew he would do it tonight.

"Dobby." Harry said under his breath.

Dobby appeared out of thin air, and answered, "Lord Potter, You be needing Dobby sir."

"Yes, Dobby. I need you to set up a fancy french dinner beside the lake once Hermione and myself are talking to McGonagall. This is important don't set it up a moment before that. I also need you to go get my mother's engagement ring from Gringotts and put it in Hermione’s wine glass. Make sure the candle light is soft. I want you to have Winky make sure no one interrupts us." Harry ordered Dobby, and he thought about the others he would need in this plan.

Dobby disappeared in a soft pop. Harry quietly slipped out of Potter Manor through the secret tunnel under the Whomping Willow. He quickly made it into the castle. As he walked to the head-mistress’s office. He was momentarily delayed as he realized he didn't know the password. Harry did the only thing he could think of.

"I need to Professor McGonagall. Please tell her that Harry Potter is here to see her." Harry said hoping that it would work.

The gargoyle simply stepped aside letting him through. He walked up the stairs and knocked on the door. He didn't have to wait long for an answer. He heard McGonagall telling him to enter. He walked in and sat in the chair with a wave of her hand.

"Is there something wrong? One would think you wouldn't be away from Hermione for a moment." McGonagall asked noting the lack of her favorite student.

"Nothing is wrong, Professor. This visit is about Hermione. The wedding yesterday got me thinking about marriage. I know it is soon, but I don't want to take the chance of losing her. I love her, and if we weren't so stupid about it, we would have been going out a lot longer. I want to ask her to be my wife. The terms of us coming back will have to wait until later. Do you think you can stall her long enough for Dobby to set up the lake for my proposal?" Harry laid out for her.

"I don't mind helping you, Lord Potter, but are you sure you want to ask her now? If what I read in the diary of Dumbledore, you are the only one that can defeat Voldemort. You know Hermione would be a huge target for Voldemort." McGonagall asked.

"I have thought about that, and it wouldn't make her any bigger of a target. She is muggle-born, and one of my best friends already. It wouldn't make any difference if she was my wife or not. Voldemort would find her an irresistible target either way." Harry frowned. "The only thing that would change is she is no longer my best friend, but my fiancé. Voldemort already knows how I feel about her by now. I did make a big ruckus at the wedding, and by now, Rita Skeeter is already writing something about me and her. She has done it before at the Tri-wizard Tournament, and at the time, it wasn't even true." Harry explained.

"True enough, Lord Potter. You are proposing tonight I take it?" Professor McGonagall asked.

"Yes, I am. I am going to propose after our meeting today. I will not go into the details since Hermione isn't here. We will come back by noon today." Harry told her.

"Very well. I will see you at noon, Lord Potter. The password is Godric." Professor McGonagall said dismissing him.

Harry rushed out of the castle. He moved as quickly as he could back into Potter Manor. He just managed to reach the bedroom as Hermione finally woke up. He smiled as he realized that his plans, for once, would be hidden from Hermione until it was time. Harry watched as Hermione changed out of her pajamas and into her robes.

Hermione smiled as she more than once caught Harry watching her. She was happy that she could entrance Harry. She loved that smile she could see on his almost blank face. She giggled as she slipped on her robes causing Harry to snap back to reality.

Harry led her about the house showing the house. When they finally sat down in the living room, two owls flew into the room and dropped a newspaper each. Harry saw one was The Prophet, and the other was The Quibbler. Harry read the Quibbler first, because it looked as Luna herself had sent it.

Love in the Mist of Troubled Times

Luna Lovegood, special reporter

On August 1st Bill Weasley married Fleur Delacour in a quiet ceremony at Bill’s childhood home (The Burrow). Both the bride and groom beaming with pride and happiness as they took their vows despite the security measures being taken by the ministry of magic due to the number of high profile witches and wizards. In attendance were such prominent witches and wizards as Professor McGonagall headmistress of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Rubeus Hagrid gamekeeper at Hogwarts assigned the task at the reception of caring for a large display of several rare and beautiful live hippogriffs. Also in attendance was Harry Potter, the boy famed for the down fall of the Dark Lord Voldemort, and Miss Hermione Granger rumored to be the smartest witch of her year at Hogwarts.

However, over shadowing the joys of this happy occasion, and first to be reported exclusively by the Quibbler is reports that the youngest brother of Bill Weasley, a Mr. Ronald Weasley, and Harry Potter were seen arguing after the wedding. Sources and witnesses report that the argument first arose between Ms. Granger and another guest in attendance at the wedding, Ms Lavender Brown. Ms. Brown, a fellow student at Hogwarts, had insulted Ms. Granger. The fight then spread to include Ronald Weasley, and Harry Potter, whom it was revealed was now dating Ms. Granger. Furthermore, revealed facts of the break up between Ms. Granger and Mr. Weasley are that in this reporters words “He is a no good cheating scum bag” and that Ms Lavender was in fact the young woman of whom young Mr. Weasley had cheated on Ms Granger on the very eve of the funeral of the fallen from good grace headmaster of Hogwarts, Professor Albus Dumbledore. The argument further grew when the Weasley’s only daughter a Ms. Ginerva Weasley, discovered that her former boyfriend Mr. Potter was now dating Ms. Granger. Harry in his anger at the insult to his girlfriend, and the betrayal of those he once believed to be his friends, reminded them that each and every person there owed him in one form or another a wizards life debt. If he were to ever called on to be paid, and the debt never settled by saving that the person who owes the life debt, they must forfeit their own life. It was in the after math of shock to this statement that Ms Granger and Mr. Potter made their getaway to an unknown location.

Harry couldn't believe his eyes. He knew that Skeeter would write some trash, but he never thought Luna would be there to report the actual facts. He laughed out loud surprising Hermione.

"What is so funny, Harry?' Hermione asked him.

Hermione hadn't found The Prophet article funny in the least. Skeeter was up to her old tricks again. Hermione had thought that her blackmail would keep her at bay. Hermione’s hope was dashed when she read the article on the wedding.

Boy-Who-Lived Ruins Wedding
Rita Skeeter, reporter

It was a very beautiful day at the Weasley home. The Wedding of William Weasley, the oldest son of Arthur Weasley, and Fleur Delacour was taking place in the backyard of the home. The bride was a vision of beauty if I do say so myself, and the groom looked worried as all grooms do.
The event didn't really pick up until after the wedding. At which time, I witnessed first hand an odd love pentagon involving Harry J. Potter, Hermione Granger, Ronald Weasley, Ginerva Weasley, and Lavender Brown. Mr. Potter had used his Boy-Who-Lived status as well as his winning the Tri-wizard Tournament to win Hermione Granger. Mr. R. Weasley retorted that Lord Potter took anything he wanted, and he had no respect for his friends. Lord Potter's late mentor, Albus Dumbledore, pulled him out of any trouble he got into only serving to back up the claims of Mr. Weasley. Dumbledore had claimed that Lord Potter was the only hope of the wizarding world. Our Playboy-Who-Lived has cycled through several witches his last being the sister of Mr. R. Weasley, Ginerva Weasley. Lord Potter's on and off relationship with Ms. Granger can be found in back issues of The Prophet. Ms. Granger, herself, has been in relationships with Victor Krum, Ron Weasley, and Harry Potter. Ms. Granger seems to have a taste for famous wizards, or in the case of Mr. R. Weasley, wizards with parents in positions inside the ministry. Ms. Weasley claimed that Lord Potter was with her while he carried on this affair with Ms. Granger. Ms. Brown, who is a long time friend of Mr. R. Weasley was there to try to calm down the argument.

Harry and Hermione traded newspapers. At once, Harry's smile disappeared. He had expected the truth to get rearranged, but this was an absolute hatchet job. Hermione, on the other hand, smiled at Luna's article. Hermione had seen that Luna was there, but she had never thought Luna was there for The Quibbler.

Harry broke out of his rage with the thought of tonight. He took the newspaper from Hermione, and he sat them down on the table again. He pulled Hermione to him to kiss her lips. He finally broke the kisses to remind her of the meeting with McGonagall.

They made their way through the castle. Harry having to jinx Peeves twice to stop him from ruining their clothes. The rest of the trip was uneventful until they reached the gargoyle in front of the headmistress's office. Hermione wondered how Harry had the password for the office. They made their way up the stairs into the office to be invited in and settled.

"Well, let's get down to business. I assume that you are here to discuss the terms of you two returning to Hogwarts." Professor McGonagall spoke in her no none-sense tone.

"Yes, we are." Harry replied trying to drag out the meeting.

"We will need to be able to leave the castle any time we wish." Hermione stated getting down to business.

"I can understand that. I will still need you to make sure it doesn't interrupt the care of the students. I would like you to use weekends and holidays for your little outings as much as possible." Professor McGonagall conceded.

"That will be fine. We will need the run of the castle. It would be a problem if we have to do something in the castle after hours, and we are not allowed to do so. We will also need the use of the Room of Requirement and the Chamber of Secrets." Harry supplied.

"Head boy and girl already have free run of the halls, and they have use of the restricted section of the library. The Room of Requirement and the Chamber of Secrets are not used so feel free to use them. I see no problem in you using any room in the castle that isn't in use." Professor McGonagall reasoned.

"Finally, we would like to commute to Hogwarts. We currently live in the former Shrieking Shack. Potter Manor being connected to the school and Hogsmead would make it easier for us to get in and out of the school." Harry told Professor McGonagall.

"That is a little out of the norm, but I can live with that." Professor McGonagall replied thinking this was going to be easier then she thought.

"We will also need to move students we choose to our manor. They will come willingly, but I ask you do not ask questions. Harry will be invoking the rights of a Nobles Harem." Hermione told Professor McGonagall.

"I can't do anything about the Nobles Harems laws, but I will allow it if and only if each woman is at least sixteen. As for the moving them to Potter Manor, I will accept but they must still attend school. They won't have the power you will as head boy and girl though." Professor McGonagall said finding the idea of a harem distasteful.

"Of course, we wouldn't want anyone under sixteen anyway. We aren't asking for anything concerning them other then you allow them to live in Potter Manor, and they would be able to leave the castle on weekends and holidays." Hermione told her with a wicked smile.

After dismissing Harry and Hermione, Professor McGonagall couldn't believe that Hermione not only approved of the harem laws, but Hermione had actually bought them up for Harry. McGonagall had never known a soon to be wife, not that Hermione knew, to actually want to be one of a harem. McGonagall knew that it was probably Hermione's idea. Harry wasn't the type to be a playboy no matter what The Prophet said. McGonagall had long since decided that The Quibbler was the more useful paper when it came to Harry. McGonagall had given Hermione the 3rd degree on her wanted the harem not only out of curiosity, but she also wanted to give Harry's plan time to be set up.

Harry and Hermione reached the lake, where Harry insisted they had to stop by. Hermione was surprised to find a full French diner set out on at table. The table was adorned with a lace table cloth, and romantic roses. The candles gave off a faint light against the now dark sky. They spent their time talking about everything that had happened to them. When Hermione finally asked for a drink, a glass of wine appeared before her. She took a drink of it feeling something hard hit her lip. She looked down to see a tri-metal ring. It was gold, silver, and platinum strands wrapped around each other with the inscription 'Bravery is nothing more than foolishness without wisdom and love'. She hadn't noticed Harry get up and came to her side getting down on one knee.

"Hermione Jane Granger will you marry me?" Harry asked hoping against hope she said yes.

"Oh, Harry. Of course, I will marry you. I never thought you would ask!" Hermione answered while tears came down her cheeks.

"I love you, Hermione" Harry said full of love.

"Harry take me back to the manor right now!" Hermione commanded with a lustful voice and put on the ring.

Hermione grabbed his hand, and she drug him all the way to their bedroom. She stripped down slowly to make sure Harry was in the mood. She didn't waste any time undressing him as she took out her wand and vanished his clothes. Hermione pulled Harry down onto the bed. Harry spent time kiss up and down Hermione's body. Harry only stopped to kiss and nibble on your clit. He slowly licked up and down the folds causing Hermione to moan out. When Harry thought she was wet enough, he kissed his way back up her body, and he kissed her passionately. He slowly inserted his dick into Hermione causing her to moan again. Harry started slowly as first, and build up speed as Hermione made Potter Manor live up to it's old name. Hermione's finger nails raked across Harry's back as he slid in and out of her. Harry took her nipples in his mouth as his hands ran up and down her body. Harry kept his pace driving Hermione into a huge orgasm. Harry feeling that he was about to lose control quietly muttered an anti-pregnancy charm barely in time. Hermione fell asleep as her orgasm had shut her mind completely down.

Harry slowly slide out of bed. He looked over his sleeping fiancé/lover, and noticed blood on the sheets. He looked down to see his penis was covered with blood too. His mind was sent racing. He realized that Hermione had given him her virginity. He vanished the blood and tucked Hermione into bed. He only stayed out of bed long enough to have Dobby and Winky to clean up the French diner they had forgotten about. He quietly climbed into bed, and Hermione cuddled up preferring Harry's chest to the pillows. Harry smiled and drifted off to sleep.
