How to trick a Dark Lord prt1

Hermione was left on her own after Bellatrix and Narcissa fawned on her. She shivered, and rubbed her arms as hard as she could, to try and feel cleaner, their bloodstained hands had not made her feel good about this situation.

‘Oh, so you think Snape is innocent as far as that is concerned?’ her inner voice sneered. But he does feel guilty over what he has done. ‘Sure he does.’ Leave me alone, Snape is going to get me out of here, I trust him!

Hermione was just about to try to sleep when her fireplace burst into green flames. The main subject of her inner conversation had just stepped out of the fireplace. She could HARDLY contain her joy. She leapt up from her seat and ran up to him, and she flung her arms around his neck. She started to weep on him.

Severus was stunned at this greeting. He was hoping to have had a good greeting but this was more than good, this was excellent. It was like she really wanted him. He got over his shock, and then he wrapped his arms around her waist and squeezed her tightly to him. She buried her face in his chest. She felt extremely protected in the warm black velvet cloak he always wore.

“We can’t linger long,” he said. “I’ve come to rescue you, along with help.”

Mrs Lupin stepped out of the fireplace. “Wotcher!” she greeted.

“Mrs Lupin?” Hermione asked.

“The same,” Mrs Lupin replied. “Listen your other half over there say’s that Lord Mouldy wants to marry you. We’re not going to let you.”

Hermione furrowed her brow. “But you’re married to Remus,” she said. “You can’t marry someone else when you’re already married.”

Mrs Lupin tutted and looked in the mirror, and then looked back at Hermione. “Seems like I’ve got you down to a tea.”

Hermione blinked. “But what are you going to do when he calls you to be his bride?”

“Escape of course, Severus has given me permission to apparate to his home.”

Hermione blinked again. She looked up at Severus.

“Both of you could die for this” she said.

“That’s not the point,” Severus said. “As long as you remain safe that is all that matters.”

Hermione looked into Severus eyes. She smirked at the revelation he forgot to hide in their dark depths. She looked down and blushed. She walked over to Mrs Lupin and then she saw a mark on her neck and she glared at the other woman.

“All part of the disguise, Hermione,” Mrs Lupin said.

Hermione narrowed her eyes at Severus and he did not look the least bit guilty.

“Just as long as that is ALL it is,” Hermione said with a catch in her voice. Severus chuckled silently. She was so charming when she was jealous. It was almost cute.

Mrs Lupin walked up to Hermione. “Right, I want to know what everyone has been saying and doing. Don’t skip anything out.”

Hermione told her friend all what she had been through the evening and this morning. She said, as she turned to Severus, that she was sorry, but she did actually enjoy HIS presence.

“He’s persuasive,” Hermione said. “And quite demanding. If you manage to not get him inside of you then bully for you.”

“So, my bitches of aunts are here are they?” Mrs Lupin said with a determined look on her face that matched Hermione’s exactly. Severus felt this would definitely work.

“Yes,” Hermione answered, “and they are very, very horrible.”

“I am sure that if the Dark Lord has ordered them to be nice then they would be nice,” Severus said.

“Oh they are simply fawning over me,” Hermione said, “and I hate it. I don’t like being touched by their bloodstained hands.”

Severus nodded; he’d hated to be touched by Bella the other day. He shuddered at the memory of it. He looked at Hermione and he tilted her chin up and kissed her on her lips, she parted her mouth open, and he decided to go further. Mrs Lupin stood back to watch. That was not the mere kiss of a man who wanted to possess a woman that was a kiss of a man who had been in love with a woman for a long time.

That thought worried Mrs Lupin slightly; she wondered exactly HOW long Mr Severus Snape had been in love with Hermione. She shook her head, and was just about to cough, as it was becoming more embarrassing than anything else. When two female voices echoed from the other side of the door, Hermione and Severus stopped their kissing.

“Quick!” hissed Mrs Lupin. Severus nodded and he grabbed Hermione’s hand and floo’d her back to Spinner’s End.

“What are we doing here?” Hermione asked. “He knows where you live.”

“To pack your things,” Severus said. “I wanted to seduce you over and over again, and tell you information. If the Dark Lord questioned me, I’d have said that I fell for your womanly wiles.”

Hermione snorted. “Me, having womanly wiles? Yeah right!”

“You’re more charming than you give yourself credit for, Hermione, and it is some truth. I have fallen for you.”

Hermione’s brown eyes widened in absolute surprise, she couldn’t believe what she had just heard. Severus flung the door open, and started up the stairs, she heard him stop. He had come back down.

“You said - you said that you love me,” she stammered.

“Yes,” he replied. “I do love you. Why is that a shock?”

“Why is that a shock?” Hermione asked. “Because it’s you. You have standards, you are rigid, and you’re a deeply private and intense man.”

“You fit my standards,” he replied. “I may be deeply private and intense, but that intensity can extend to the emotion otherwise known as love. I also don’t mind my privacy being invaded by people I like. I may also be rigid, but I am also lonely. AND, Hermione, I’ve missed you.” Hermione felt dizzy. She couldn’t believe she was having this conversation. She let the bed sheet she was still wearing fall off her body, and she was completely naked. Severus smirked at her naked body, and he walked up to her. He unclasped his cloak and wrapped it around her body. “As much as I want to devour and ravish your delectable body, I can’t. We have to get you dressed, packed and out of here before the Dark Lord realises he’s been tricked.”

“He won’t give up,” Hermione said in a dejected voice. “He won’t give up on me.”

“No, he won’t. Don’t worry. Draco Malfoy is not as big a supporter as his father, and as soon as you’re back in Hogwarts, Blaise Zabini will protect you. Potter is not as angry at you as you think he is, and Mrs Weasley has instructed her brat to be nice to you.”

“What are you trying to say?” Hermione asked, as he grabbed her hand, and he led her up the stairs.

“What I am trying to say is, that you are well protected. Malfoy doesn’t hate you as much as you think he did. I marked you as an honorary Slytherin. You will get the cunning and guile of Slytherin house, mixed with the bravery of Gryffindor to protect you. The Dark Lord still is not THAT confident to invade Hogwarts yet.”

He opened his bedroom door, and he stormed in and yanked her with him. She felt as if her arm had been pulled out of its socket. She massaged her shoulder, and then he let go. He picked up a top that was lying on his bed.

“I put that away,” Hermione said.

“I – er, took it out,” Severus said.

“Why?” she asked. She cocked her head inquisitively.

“I needed to hold something of yours,” he answered. Hermione felt warm with that knowledge. She smirked, as Severus flung all her clothes out of his draws; and he found a pair of jeans, some underwear, and a pair of socks, and then he turned around.

“Get dressed,” he ordered.

“No,” Hermione said, “not until you kiss me.”

“This is not the time,” Severus said. “Besides if I kiss you then it might lead to something that we cannot do at this moment in time.”

Hermione smiled naughtily at the thought of being caught in the arms of the man she truly loved, and then her nightmare came to the fore, and she shook her head, and decided to get dressed. Severus packed the rest of her things in her travelling chest and when she was finished getting dressed, and he was finished packing, he tapped her travelling chest to make it lighter. He offered her his arm and then they walked down the stairs. They walked out of his cottage, and Hermione observed the village he lived in.

“Quiet,” she said.

“Why do you think I live here?” Severus said.

Hermione nodded. It did suit his personality. She smiled as they walked through the streets, she sighed as she saw some of the houses have Christmas decorations up, and the children sitting in front of television sets watching whatever Specials they decided to show. All of a sudden Severus stopped.

“Severus?” Hermione asked.

“You see that blonde haired girl in there?” he pulled her close to him, and he pointed to a gorgeous happy little girl in a living room. “She’s a Witch. One with excellent potential, I’ve seen her.”

Hermione looked at the girl again, and she looked up at Severus.

“Imagine the shock she would have got finding out the scary Snape guy was going to be her teacher,” Hermione joked.

Severus pinched her stomach and Hermione squealed.

“Come on, we haven’t got time to dawdle.”
Hermione nodded, she walked holding hands with Severus down the deserted cold, street. It was also fairly small, with just one pub, and one post office. Some men were coming out of the pub drunkenly swaying. Severus stiffened as he spotted one of them. Hermione noticed his expression go flint hard and he brought her closer to his side. Hermione wondered if he knew he was doing that.

“Thatsh one ‘eck of a bird, you got vere, Shteve!”

Steven was probably the name he was made to go by in the Muggle School he must have attended before Hogwarts.

“Not for you,” Hermione replied.

“She’sh gorgeoush!” the drunken man said. “Where did you find ‘er?”

“I’ve known her for a long time,” Severus replied, “I
f you don’t mind, Kendal, I’d like to move on.”

“Nah! ‘Ave a pint, wiv us. Bring ‘er along as well,” he eyed Hermione lasciviously.

“We’re late to a friends place,” Severus said.

“Come on, Stevey,” Hermione said in a husky voice.

“Some people ‘ave the luck ov the Irish!”

Hermione rolled her eyes and they continued walking together, down the street, Severus pulled her behind a tumbled down house and apparated outside the Weasley gate. Before Hermione knew where she was she was wrapped up in a bundle of Mrs Weasleys arms.

“Oh you did it,” she said, she fussed over Hermione and took her travelling chest out of Severus’ hands. She took hold of Hermione’s hands and led her into the house.

Hermione loved the Weasley house. It was her idea of home. It had all sorts of weird and wonderful things going on inside. She noticed that Mrs Weasley’s clock had a few extra hands added to it. Her name was there, as well as Remus, and Mrs Lupin, and Severus. Hermione nibbled her lip when she saw that Mrs Lupin’s hand was on a word, WORRIED. Her’s and Severus hands both pointed to SAFE. They then turned to HOME.

What had Severus done to earn himself a hand on Mrs Weasley’s clock? What had SHE done? As far as she was concerned she had dumped Ron. She shouldn’t be on there. She looked around the kitchen and found it to be practically deserted. She sat down on a seat, and Severus walked in.

“I’ll just go then,” he said. He leant down to peck Hermione goodbye on her cheek.

“Oh no you won’t young man,” Molly said. “You!” she pointed at him, “sit!” and she lowered the point of her finger down to a chair next to Hermione. Severus was just about to argue when he saw Molly’s expression. Yikes, this woman was possibly slightly scarier than the Dark Lord. He sat down obediently and decided to touch Hermione’s leg under the table. “And you can stop that an all,” she said. Severus was startled beyond belief.

“How did you -? I mean you’re back was turned!” Severus spluttered out.

“I am a mother to six boys, most of whom have brought girlfriends home once in a while. I know exactly what they do under the table when they think I don’t. I don’t tolerate it from them and I won’t tolerate it from you.”

Hermione tried not to snigger but she couldn’t hold it in much longer.

“What’s so funny?” Severus mumbled.

“The scary bat of the dungeons has been put in his place by a woman! That’s what!”

Severus tried to hide his humiliation. How could he intimidate her now? Yes he loved her, but he still wanted to play out his fantasies once in a while. One of those was a detention fantasy. He looked at Hermione, and thought of his dungeons, and how well he could have ensconced her there.

“And stop fantasizing at my dinner table,” Molly snapped. Severus blinked!

“Do you, by any chance, know Occlumency?”

“No, but I know what goes through a mans mind when he’s looking at the woman he loves.”

She shoved a plate in front of him, and then she served him some bacon, eggs, tomatoes and sausages. Merlin! Is that all this woman does? Cook? Hermione accepted the food with no hint of surprise. She ate like she expected it. If this is how Weasleys expect their women to be then he had rescued Hermione truly. Of course he wanted Hermione to cook for him, but he didn’t want her to be cooking constantly for all and sundry. He might have to have a firm word with Hermione about that. Rule one: No turning into Molly Weasley. He made a mental note of that in his head and then he brought his attention back to his food.

He didn’t realise how hungry he was until he placed the first bit of sausage in his mouth, and then he ate with gusto. Molly then placed a cup of creamy hot chocolate in front of them.

“I’ve prepared some beds for you,” she said. “It’s Bill and Charlie’s old room. I’ve done the best I can to make it comfortable for you, Hermione. And yours is Percy’s old room, Severus.”

Severus heart plummeted. He was hoping that under the circumstances they would be allowed to share rooms if he was to stay the night here.

“I cannot stay the night, I did not bring any clean clothes or underwear.”

“Just leave what you’ve got on outside the bedroom door. I am sure you can fit into a pair of Arthur’s spares.”

Severus groaned. Hermione tried not to snort into her hot chocolate. She thanked Molly, and took her trunk and hot chocolate up to Bills room. Severus said goodnight, too. He walked up the stairs with Hermione and she opened the door to Percy’s old room. He peeked inside.

“And where’s Bill’s old room?” Severus asked. Hermione pointed to a room two doors down.

“The third and fourth floor boards creek, you’re best bet is to tiptoe.”

Severus smirked dangerously, and his eyes sparkled in the dim light. He bent down and whispered in her ear.

“I’ll see you there,” he had a hungry quality to his voice. If Molly Weasley expected them to sleep in separate bedrooms she must be extremely naïve. She has six boys… she should know that those boys wouldn’t sleep in their bed when their girlfriend is just down the hall. He was a teacher at one time, and the amount of boys and girls he caught sneaking around at night trying to find a quiet, secluded spot for their lecherous explorings.

He was a man deeply in love with a young, attractive woman, and she honestly thought she could separate them. If the Dark Lord can’t separate them, then one Molly Weasley couldn’t. He walked into Percy’s room and sat on the bed, he then swung his legs up on the bed trying to count the time when she’d be in bed. He decided to undress and leave his clothes out in the hallway. He wrapped his body around with a towel she had laid over the back of a chair and sneaked out. He carefully avoided the said creaking floorboards.

He saw the sign on the door; he looked carefully; and guiltily around. No one. He knocked on the door, and Hermione opened it, she looked around, grabbed his hand and dragged him in the room. She was naked too, and before he knew what he was doing he crushed his mouth to hers and kissed her hungrily and possessively.

“Severus,” Hermione hissed, when the kiss stopped. She looked at Severus. “We best soundproof the walls and I best put a contraceptive charm on my -!”

“Oh no you don’t,” Severus growled.

“But -!”

“If you’re pregnant from this then I will make an honest woman of you.”

Hermione smiled. It was slightly selfish and smug.

“All right,” she whispered huskily, “if that is what you want.”

“I do want that,” he murmured.

Hermione waved her wand to put a soundproof charm, and for good measure she warded the door as well.

“Well then,” she said. “You may!”

A/N I know, cliffies are excellent... and yes, the lemons are definitely coming!
