I do not own Harry Potter, nor any of the characters from the books or movies. I do not make any money from the writing of this story.
Missed you
Just an A?
Disclaimer: Character & world not mine, pairings & situations, mine.
Warning: All Narcissa and Bellatrix fans beware, I hate them. Nothing personal.
Note: This is moving faster than I wanted so it won’t be as long as the books… Heh ^.^
Severus was horribly surprised when Lucius strode into his office. “Twice in one year? Lucius, what’s gotten into you?”
Lucius frowned at him, hurt. “I know we didn’t keep the best of touch, Severus, but there’s no need to be rude.”
Severus looked at the desk, embarrassed. “I didn’t mean it like that.”
Lucius raised a pale brow. “Oh?”
Severus blushed, staring at his desk like his life was depending on it. “I… I just, I missed you.” Lucius stood with a vaguely dumbfounded but since Severus wasn’t looking, he didn’t know and rushed on with what he was going to say. “You were my best friend, my only friend, in school. When you graduated I had nobody, nobody else stood up for me. When I graduated I’d hoped that we could be friends again, but I couldn’t find you. When I did find you, you’d married. You know how Narcissa is.” Lucius nodded. Narcissa was a right jealous bitch. If Severus had been around, even as a friend, she would’ve had her claws out all the time. “So… I just,” Severus looked up at Lucius through his hair uncertainly, “kept hoping you’d come and see me for me.” In a whisper so quiet and tear-filled Lucius thought he might have dreamt it, “You never did.”
Some thing in Lucius cracked at the sound of it. “Seve I…”
Severus gave him a teary eyed smile. “You’re the only one who called me a nickname like it was a good thing. I like it when you call me Seve.”
The crack grew. “Seve… I didn’t visit you because I thought you didn’t like me any more.” Lucius winced at how weak that sounded. “Bellatrix told me that you’d been using me in school-“
Severus’ eyes narrowed. “That BITCH!! That lying, horny, cruel, vindictive, lesbian BITCH!!!” Lucius thought Severus might through something he was so mad. “How dare she? I never did anything like that!” Severus burst to his feet. Seemingly out of steam he stood there, hands clenched glaring at the wall like it was the ‘bitch’ in question.
Lucius stared at him, he’d never seen Severus so mad. “I didn’t think you had.” He said it gently, almost afraid to provoke him further. He’d had his doubts on lonely nights, but he’d never really thought so.
Severus seemed to deflate from his rage. “Sorry. I- I just hated the thought of you thinking that.” He looked down, running a hand on the desk, blushing and murmured, “Even a little.”
Lucius smiled. “I understand.”
“Really?” Severus looked up at him, smiled in an embarrassed manner.
“Really.” Lucius smiled back, he walked to Severus and patted him on the shoulder affectionately. Remembering the words Severus had said about Narcissa. “ ‘Lying, horny, cruel, vindictive, lesbian bitch’?”
“Heh, yeah.” Severus blushed furiously and grimaced.
They looked at each other. Silence stretched until…
They both burst out laughing.
They laughed long and hard. So much so that they had to cling to each other like drunks. The laughter slowed after a while but they continued to hold onto each other. Looking into each others eyes they laughter stopped completely.
“I missed you.” Severus whispered.
“I missed you, too.” Lucius replied.
And then they kissed.
(Aw. How sweet. ^.^)
