Smashing China
A/N: Just in case I have not made this obvious so far. The entire point of this story is Draco’s inner conflict. Draco’s need for redemption in his own heart. If he can’t forgive himself then how could anyone else? Ginny has her part to play in that, but his own internal conflict is the hurdle he has to get over. He is the one making things difficult on himself. He internalizes things and makes things harder on himself than they have to be. The twins aren’t going to be any help either.
Also something new. If you would like to get an email when I update my stories please leave your email address in your review and I will add you to my list.
Ghost master: Thank you for your review. It is because of you that I keep going.

Chapter 8: Smashing China
*************************************************************************************************
Virginia Claire Weasley was livid. How could those idiot gits do this to her? As the evening wore on Ginny only grew more incensed at the actions of her brothers. She was an adult and she didn’t need a gaggle of red haired brutes following her everywhere scaring off anyone who she happened to be snogging. Not that there was anything wrong with red hair because she dearly loved her own titan locks her her brothers tended to blow things a bit out of proportion when it came to her boyfriends.
Ginny got a tumbler from the side board and poured herself a three fingers of Old Odgen’s, tossed it back and poured another this time drinking the fiery liquid a bit slower. She relished in the burn as it snaked down her throat it seemed to go hand in hand with the fire of her temper.
As she finished the second drink a knock sounded on the door to her quarters.
‘Good’ Ginny thought, ‘My idiot brothers just who I want to see.’ Ginny scooped up her wand from a side table and moved to open the door. Raising her wand she was happy to see the surprised looks on her brothers’ faces when they noticed that she was facing them with her wand.
“If you two say anything I am going to hex from here to next week. You moronic twits, how dare you. If you ever embarrass me like that again you won’t live long enough to regret it. I am so upset right now that I can’t even see straight.” Ginny didn’t realize her voice had risen to the exact volume and tone of mother’s when in the middle of a tirade. Ginny smiled slightly as she saw her older brothers pale a bit.
Ginny menacingly and quietly said, “Now, brothers dearest, if you excuse me. I have something I have to do.”
Ginny shut her door as she stalked through, locking then warding it with a flick of her wand and a couple of muttered incantations. Ginny stalked away leaving two grul bul brothers behind. Grateful only that she hadn’t turned her wand on the two of them. They knew that she knew some particularly nasty hexes as they were the ones who had taught her them in the first place.
Ginny sneered almost “Snape-ishly” as she came upon a couple of sixth year Slytherins snogging in the corridor. Feeling so much better after taking ten points from each and threatening them with detentions if they didn’t get to their dorms, she continued on to the Room of Requirement.
She smile even wider when she walked in and was happy to see a large pile of china, bowls plates cups. The floor and walls were all stone. She could hear the satisfying crash already.
She conjured herself a stool and another bottle of fire whiskey. Using a teacup from the pile next to her she poured herself a healthy dose and tossed it back. She picked up the first dish and tossed it. It seemed to hang in the air for a few moments before finally crashing to the ground and shattering, littering the floor with shards. She picked up another, and another. Soon she was flinging china everywhere, reveling in the noise and destruction through a warm amber haze.
*************************************************************************************************
Draco was also prowling the hallways and upon reaching the seventh floor he was surprised at the racket that was resounding through the halls. He hurried to investigate and was surprised to see the Room of Requirement ‘s door in place and the noise coming from with in.
He moved to the door and quietly opened it. His eyes opened wide in astonishment as he saw Ginny sitting there tossing china around the room with abandon.
“Ginny?” Draco quietly asked, then he ducked quickly as a cup and saucer came flying in his direction. Cautiously he stood up and brushed the porcelain dust from his shoulders.
“Nice reflexes Malfoy. Sorry ’bout that, thought you might have been one of my idgit brothers. Actually, I was jus’ thinkin’ ‘bout coming to see you.” Ginny had slid off her stool and was walking toward him.
He backed up a little as he couldn’t read her mood but he did know that the only time his Mother had ever thrown china around was when his father had done something to anger her and then it was usually only a few well aimed dishes or a crystal vase not a small mountain that seemed to have been reduced to a larger mountain of shards. He backed up against the wall as she stalked closer to him.
“Thank you for saving me the trip, Draco.” The next moment her lips were on his and her breasts were pressed tightly against his chest.
‘Oh, Gods’ He thought to himself as she nibbled at his lower lip and slid her tongue into his more than eager mouth. Her hands were working on the zipper of his trousers when he tasted it. Fire whiskey. She was pissed. At first the possibilities ran through his mind but this was Ginny, the woman he loved. He couldn’t bring himself to take advantage of her altered state. His hands dropped from where they had settled on her shoulders. Although it pained him to do so he took her hands from his zipper that she had managed to work half way down. “Gin“Ginny, let me walk you back to your rooms. OK?” Draco asked her gently as he tugged his zipper back up and set his robes back to rights.
“Sure lover where ever you want. Jus’ a minute there is one more thing I want to do.” She said with only a little bit of a slur in her voice. Draco’s eyes widened as she drew her wand from her sleeve hit the remaining china with a powerful blasting charm sending shards of porcelain every where. She spun back around landing unceremoniously in Draco’s arms and promptly passed out with a blissful smile on her face.
Draco shook his head as he swung her up into his arms and took her back to her rooms rousing her just enough to get her passwords. He carried her into her bedroom and laid her down on a big fluffy duvet that covered her bed. Her bed. What he would give to stay with her but for some reason his common sense got the better of her. He removed her shoes and covered her with a quilt he found draped over the end of the bed. He leaned down one last time and kissed her forehead.
As he stood up turning to leave he whispered, to the sleeping woman.
“I love you.”
As he left the room he missed the smile that crept across the woman’s face as she shifted in her sleep.
