Sirius’s P.O.V

I woke up a few hours later something soft cuddled up next to me on the couch. I looked down and saw Hermione her face pressed against my chest. Slowly she started to stir before opening her eyes and looking around. “Did we?” she asked her eyes filled with confusion. I smiled and shook my head. “No luv.” I answered my voice quiet. She nodded before straightening up. She ran a hand through her hair and looked at me. “Sirius we can’t keep doing this.” She said simply. I ignored the sharp pain that shot through my heart.

“What are we going to do Mione? I don’t want to lose you or Sage again.” I said looking at her as she chewed her bottom lip. She nodded, “Sirius I don’t know where I am right now. All this is so fast. I wasn’t expecting you to find out about Sage the way you did. I had wanted to tell you about her while it was quiet instead of how you actually found out. I didn’t want to leave Sirius but I couldn’t risk you freaking out or anything I figured it was safer to run. But I’ve told you this already.” She said fiddling with her hands.

I grabbed her hands and held them firmly. “Mione your rambling.” I said making her look at me. She looked at me helplessly. “Mione, I never stopped loving you. I won’t ever stop loving you but I can’t stand the thought of losing you. So let’s start over let’s start a real relationship please.” I asked.

HERMIONES P.O.V

I didn’t know what to say, I had never stopped loving him either. But could I jump into a relationship? “Sirius, I don’t want you to be with me just because we have a child.” I said my voice barely a whisper. “Mione I’ve wanted to be with you every day since you disappeared even before that. I was happy when you said you and Ron weren’t working out. I was happy because that meant I had a chance to be with you and I still want to be with you.” he said making my eyes burn with unshed tears.

I took a shaky breath his eyes on me, “Sirius what if it doesn’t work out?” I asked. “Mione I have no doubt in my mind that we will work out. You’re the only one that’s ever been able to keep me grounded.” I stood up and ran a hand through my hair. I was about to say something when everything started spinning. Then there was blackness.


SIRIUS’S P.O.V

I watched her fall and managed to catch her before she hit the ground. I looked around panicked before. “Mione?” I asked trying to shake her awake, “Don’t do this to me Mione.” I said worried. I apparated her to St. Mungo’s where they took her immediately while I paced outside. While I was waiting I managed to get in touch with Ginny who in turn showed up with Sage and Harry. “Mommy’s sick again.” Sage said softly. “Again? What do you mean Honey?” I asked her kneeling down and looking her in the eye. “mommy was sick not to long ago.” Sage said softly. I looked at Ginny and Harry who both looked lost. “Something you want to tell me?” I asked making them look at me. Ginny sighed. “After Hermione had Sage she started getting sick it started out as dizzy spells but then she started collapsing. She wouldn’t go to a doctor. Finally she went to a muggle doctor who couldn’t figure out what is was. She never when to a magical doctor.” Ginny explained.

“Mr. Black?” a nurse asked walking out I turned and walked towards her. “Miss. Granger is quite sick. But it’s my understanding you’re the one to talk to.” She said. I nodded. “Miss. Granger has a rare disease one that hasn’t been seen since the days of Circe. It’s rare and hard to treat but luckily we’ve caught it early. She’ll have to stay here for a few days and she’ll be unconscious. When she’s sent home she’ll need someone to stay with her but after a month or two she’ll be fine. There is one other problem. Miss Granger is very weak. This spell were using on her could in fact kill her. Which is why we need your permission to do it.” The healer said. I took a deep breath and sighed. “Do it.” I said softly.

Ginny stormed over to me. “You could end up killing her!” Ginny hissed low enough that Sage couldn’t’ here her. “Or I could save her!” I answered back. Ginny shook her head. “Sirius she’s my best friend I don’t want to lose her.” she said softly. “Either do I Ginny.” I answered before walking over to the desk. “I’d like to go to Hermione Grangers room.” I said. “Mr. Black. The healers are in there.” I rolled my eyes. “I want to be in her room now either you can tell me where she is or I will break down every door in this hospital until I find her.” I said angrily. “Room 205.” the healer said. I nodded and walked towards the room. Hermione was on the bed her body still and her skin pale. “Mione.” I breathed. I took the seat by her head and took her hand in mine.

After the healers were gone and the room was quiet I started to speak. “you can’t leave me Mione not after I just got you back. Come on Mione your strong you can do this. Think about Sage. She loves you. I love you.” I whispered.
