A Book of forgotten Curses

So here is chapter 7, which features Hermione in a little scene. And a bit more Lucius action of course! Sorry about the total Snape absence. I promise there will be a lot of reasons later on why this story is also posted in the Snape/OFC section.

But for now, thanks to Sajahi once again!

And please keep writing reviews!

Chapter 7

A Book of forgotten Curses

That same evening Kirsty entered the library and looked around. She didn’t go there very often, she wasn’t good with books; instead she learned better form doing practical tasks. Her gaze fell on the Restricted Section. Would the book be there? Was that too simple? Somehow she didn’t think Lucius would just ask her to get a book from the library. The castle was huge; if the book was hidden it would take her ages to find it.

She checked the catalogue just to make sure but wasn’t surprised that she didn’t finding the title in there. At that moment Hermione Granger walked by with a pile of books under her arm. Kirsty took a chance,

“Granger, can I ask you something?” The girl looked at her suspiciously, frowning and probably not expecting anything nice from the older Slytherin girl, “Have you ever heard of The Book of Forgotten Curses?” Hermione only looked at her.

“Well of course”, she said importantly but did not continue.

It was all Kirsty could do not to sneer at her before she tried to bait her further. “A friend and I are having a bet, can you help me?” She prompted the girl, “He thinks the book is here at Hogwarts, I doubt that. What do you think?” Hermione blinked.

“Of course it is at Hogwarts. It came here twenty years ago; after being found, it contains many very old, very terrible curses that had been thought lost during the centuries. Dumbledore sealed it right after it appeared and now keeps an eye on it so it doesn’t fall into the wrong hands. …Haven’t you read Hogwarts a History?”

Kirsty only blinked. She couldn’t believe that stupid girl had just told her everything she needed to know. No wonder the Boy-Who-Lived always won everything with Granger next to him. Still that know-it-all attitude was very annoying.

“No, I prefer to use my own head rather than memorising thoughts of others.”

“Well, it obviously didn’t help you with your bet. You lost.” She stuck her nose high in the air and walked off. Kirsty focused back on her task. She knew now where to look. She turned and left the library.

On her way down the corridors she crossed Draco in the hallway. She had not seen him in the common room since he had come back from home. He seemed paler than usual and his eyes where fixed on the ground, he didn’t look up when she walked by. Maybe he didn’t see her, or he did not want to see her. She decided to let him go. She wanted to know if he was ok. But he obviously was not in the mood to talk. She finally arrived by the hidden staircase to Dumbledore’s office. She hid around a corner and waited. She was lucky it only took five minutes until McGonagall arrived and said: “Cheesecake”. Shortly later she disappeared up the staircase that opened up. That was all Kirsty needed to know.

*

It was late at night when Kirsty crossed the common room on the way out. She did not expect anyone to be there but Draco was sitting on one of the chairs by the fire. He looked grimly in front of himself. Kirsty stopped,

“Draco?”

“What?” He asked darkly after a moment of silence.

“…Are you alright?”

“Why do you ask?” He answered not looking at her.

“…Because …I’m really sorry. I didn’t mean…” He cut her off,

“Leave me alone.”

She hesitated. There was nothing she could do. She left the common room and hurried up to Dumbledore’s office. Though it was past curfew, she was lucky and did not encounter anyone on her way. With the password she got up the staircase and was more than surprised that the office was not locked. She would have never thought it was that easy to get in. But still her heart was beating so loud she thought it would wake up the phoenix that was sleeping in the corner. What if she got caught? How would she explain?

She made light with her wand and looked around.

There was the sorting hat on the shelf and Gryffindor’s sword…. There were many items in the shelves all very different from each other and there… a large, heavy book lay in the corner in the back. She walked over and read the title “The Book of Forgotten Curses”. It could not have been easier. She didn’t loose any time, praying there were no alarms on the book she grabbed it and hurried back to the door. As she reached the door something lit up in the room; making her freeze with one hand on the door handle, she could see it from the corner off her eye, she panicked for a second before she realised it was the phoenix catching fire.

“Bloody bird!” She murmured and left as fast as she could. She hid the book as well as she could under her cloak and ran back to the common room without anyone seeing her.

It was the next morning, at breakfast, when Dumbledore announced that an important item had gone missing from his office and he would ask who ever took it to return it. Kirsty felt slightly sick. There was really no way back now, she had switched sides. Draco looked over at her, still pale and grim. He knew. For the rest of the day Kirsty expected, constantly, to be discovered. Or for Draco to reveal her. With the book still hidden under her bed and the guilty look on her face, that she could simply not hide; she was sure somehow someone was going to know it was her. But she was wrong. Nobody suspected her and Draco didn’t say anything either. She once thought during potions that she was busted when Snape saw her bracelet showing from under her sleeve when he walked by. But he didn’t seem suspicious over it, he only muttered something about “peculiar new style” as he walked on. Maybe he was too busy blaming that famous boy, Harry Potter for the disappearance of The Book of Forgotten Curses. She had heard the rumour that Snape was trying to convince Dumbledore to search through that boy’s stuff. The fact that nobody ever seemed to give Kirsty much attention now really worked to her advantage and as the two days, Lucius had mentioned in his letter came to an end she got increasingly nervous. Was she going to see him again soon?

*

Kirsty woke up to a burning pain on her wrist. She gasped a silent scream and ripped off the bracelet. It was in the middle of the night. She looked around. All the other girls were sleeping. She turned the bracelet around and looked at the inside.

”Get ready to port-key in five minutes.”

She put on her uniform, as it was the nearest clothes in reach, lying on the chair next to her bed, for the next morning. She hurried towards the common room, then realised she had forgotten the book. She hurried back, took the book under her robes and went back to the common room. It was deserted. She sat down and put the bracelet back on, waiting, her heart beating faster and heaver with every second that went by. Just when she thought the wait would make her scream, she felt a pull on her wrist. Her head started to spin and the common room was gone. The chair that she had sat on was replaced with a carpet, next to a fireplace.

“There you are.” Drawled a cold, familiar, voice.

She looked up. She was in a small, cosy and warm room. Lucius leaned against the closed door. She pulled out the book from under her robes and looked at him for his reaction.

“Well done.” He said and stepped forward to take it from her.

“I think no one is suspecting me.” She said quietly, still a bit dizzy from port-keying.

“I should hope not.” He answered as he walked away from her again, examining the cover of the book. He seemed somewhat more... peaceful than last time she had met him. But then again, she had already learned that his mood could change from one second to another and it seemed that whenever he was being polite, it was some kind of fake facade he put on, possibly naturally, having learned to play a part in society. She watched him for a moment then she spoke again,

“It was not very difficult”

She was conscious of the fact that she tried to engage him in some kind of casual conversation. She was desperate to change their relationship from rapist and victim to partners in crime.

“I didn’t suspect it to be difficult, that’s why I gave you this task. We will see how you will cope with more challenging missions.” He looked up at her with a smile, “But for now you did well.”

She did not overlook the condescending tone in his voice; it was stronger than usual, but she didn’t mind it at all; as long as he did not throw her around the room again.

“What are you going to do with the book?”

He was all focused on the book again as he answered,

”Well, it will take some time to break the magical seal, but we have people here who are more than qualified.” He looked back at her, “But don’t you concern yourself with it. Your job is done and you did well,” he sat down in a chair next to a small coffee table that he placed the book on, “would you like to be rewarded?” She only stared back at him.

He patted his lap, “Come here, pet.”

She was very aware that the last time he had used those words he had brutally raped her. She didn’t move, being far more comfortable out of his reach.

“You will have to trust me, pet. Come here to me.”

Carefully she stepped closer, was he really going to reward her? She could not trust that smile, but he was right again. She had to trust him. She wanted to trust him more than anything. And if he wanted to hurt her, he could do that even if she tried to stay away from him. So she forced herself to walk over to him.

She stood in front of him not knowing what to do next. He looked her up and down recognising her outfit:

“I like the school girl thing.”

He put his hands at the side of her waist and directed her to sit on his lap. She felt his hand moving to the inside of her naked thighs. His fingertips softly stroke her skin. It was an entirely new sensation. It felt like there was electricity coming from his fingertips. She only knew the uncivilised groping from her teenage encounters and Lucius harsh treatment from last time. This was something new and she liked it.

He moved his hand slightly up her pleated skirt but still far away from anything to intimate. He seemed rather casual about it to as he continued talking quietly,

“If we can break that seal we might discover some old, long forgotten curses which might be helpful when it comes to another war.”

She wasn’t really listening to what he was saying; all her attention was on his hand and what it was going to do next. He moved it slightly further up her skirt. His fingers slid between her upper thighs, suddenly very, very close to her secret place.

“I hope you like the bracelet by the way.” His voice became almost a whisper.

“Yes.” She breathed. She was surprised by the strong reaction of her body to his fingers, which only slightly moved over her skin. Was she feeling herself getting wet? She definitely was aroused. Her body was screaming to open up to him and let him have everything. She tried to keep her breathing normal, she was embarrassed about her instant reaction to him. His hand moved all the way up and she suppressed a gasp at the sudden sensation of his finger tips brushing over her panty clad pussy. He softly pushed her legs apart a little bit to gain more access. He began to softly stroke up and down. She closed her eyes. A little sigh escapes her mouth. Her right hand, which rested on Lucius shoulder, grabbed the fabric of his coat. He used the exact right amount of pressure and in the right places; she had not known it could feel like this.

“I was a bit worried it might be too big and your friends would notice it and ask questions, but it needed to be a bigger size to be able to include your tasks.” He continued well aware that she was hardly listening.

“I don’t have any friends who would notice it.” She breathed still with her eyes closed.

He chuckled, “You poor, little thing.” There, he just stroked the right spot, she twitched and moaned. She didn’t care anymore that he knew how much he aroused her. She was in bliss as she never had been before.

“You’re enjoying yourself?”

“Yes! …uh!”

“You have been a good girl. This is what you get when you’re a good girl.”

She wanted to be closer to him, she felt the desperate need to put both her arms around him, to kiss him, to straddle him, but she didn’t dare.

In that moment he removed his hand. He gave her a little swat on her thigh and simply said:

”Now get up, I have other thinks I need to be doing.”

She jumped up at his command but stared at him, lust in her eyes, her body screaming for his touch. He got up and casually turned away from her.

“Please...” She begged shyly. He turned and looked back at her as though he had no idea what she could possibly want. She felt pathetic, why would he want to continue this with her, he knew prettier women; who satisfied him much better than she ever could. That last time had clearly just been about making a point and this had only been a little ´reward`. Why would he be interested in doing anything more with her?

“You should probably get back now.” He said, indifferently.

She wanted to do something dramatic. Tear off her clothes and fall on her knees and beg him to give her more; but she couldn’t. In some crazy fantasy she would have, but this was the real Lucius Malfoy, the one who raped her. She was too scared to provoke a reaction from him and then of course, there was also still the chance that he would only laugh at her. She was not some kind of powerful seducer. He picked up his cane that was leaning against the wall and walked over to her. He put the handle under her chin and tilted her head up to look at him.

“Just don’t forget that you’re mine.” He seized her arm where it was bound in the bracelet, “If you betray me, I will know.”

She wasn’t sure what exactly he meant by that but still answered; “I won’t.”

She felt the heat of his body radiating from him. She would have given anything for him to touch her again. He looked into her eyes searching as it seemed, but then he gave a smile and stepped back from her. He pulled out his wand and muttered a spell that instantly activated the bracelet to port-key her back to Hogwarts.
