Chapter 7

Their hug got broken by a pounding on the door. Hermione and Ginny jumped a mile in the air. Hermione and Ginny grabbed their wands. They slowly approached the door.

" Who would be comming here at 8am in the morning?" asked Ginny in a whisper.

"Thats what I asked last night when you showed up" smirked Hermione.

Hermione slowly opened the door. There stood a grinning Draco Malfoy and Blaise Zabini. A smile quickly crept across both girls faces.

"Draco, Blaise, what in the bloody hell are you doing here, on Christmas at that." asked Hermione smirking.

"Well we came to spend the holiday break with our girlfriends" said a grinning Blaise. Hermione grinned at a blushing Ginny.

" I was about to tell you before they came. But Ron and Harry don't know. Please don't tell them." Ginny said nervously.

"You secrets are safe with me as mine are with you" she said patting her stomace.

Ginny grinned and nodded. The let the boys in and the all settled on the couches. Hermione brought out some hot chocolate, and some cookies.

"So how bout we open presents" suggested Ginny.

"Thats a great idea" said Hermione.

The boys opened their gifts first, then Ginny and finally Hermione. Mrs. Weasley had sent some fudge and mince pies, Ron had sent her a jar of sweets from Honeyduke,. Fred and George sent her a sky blue Pygmy Puff, which she named Bubbles. Ginny gave her a set of hair clips and some body spray. The four decided to exchange their gifts last. Blaise gave Ginny a necklace with two hearts connected together one red trimmed with gold the other green trimmed with silver. Ginny gave Blaise a broom servicing kit. He has wanted one but never got around to getting one. Next, Hermione gave Draco a silver chain with a golden snitch on it seeing he was seeker for Slyherin. What Draco gave Hermione was mind blowing. He turned to look at her and held her hands.

" Hermione we have been through thick and thin, and I wouldn't change it for anything. I am extremley happy with you and I have never cared for anyone as much as I do for you." he said tears stating to fall down his eyes.

Hermione looked at him with watery eyes.

"Hermione, what are you doing the rest of your life?" he asked.

Hermione looked shocked.

"Oh well I plan to go to University to become a Tranfiguration Professor, why do you ask?" she asked as she looked confused.

Draco, Blaise and Ginny all laughed. Draco got down on one knee and took a black box out of his pocket.

"Hermione Granger, will you marry me?" he asked as he opened the box revealing a princess cut diamond on a gold band.

Hermione gasped and covered her mouth with her hands. Tears were flowing down her cheeks. She jumped into Dracos arms and knocked him to the floor.

"Yes!" she cried as she kissed him on the lips.

Draco and Hermione got up and he placed the ring on her left hand ring finger. Blaise and Ginny congratulated the couple. They decided to go out to eat to celebrate. They went to this fancy little Italian resturaunt on the out skirts of Hogsmead. After the wonderful meal, the group decided to go to the Leaky Cauldron for butter beers. They went to a booth in the back for some privacy. Hermione hadn't had this much fun in a long time. They were having a blast talking about everything. Ginny sat comfortably wrapped in Blaise's arms as Hermione did in Draco's. They were having so much fun, they didn't notice two tall figures come up th the booth.

" Well, what do we have here?" asked an angry vioce. Ginny's face went pale. Hermione slowly turned around to see Ron Weasley and Harry Potter glaring at the group. She had never seen the two boys look so angry. Blaise and Draco tightened the grip around the girls and glared at the two boys.

"Is there a problem guys" Ginny asked sternly.

" What are the two of you doing with this filth?". Ron asked through clenched teeth.

Ginny got up and and glared at Ron. " Not that its you business, but I'm out celebrating with my boyfriend and our best friends." Ginny said angrily.

Ron's eyes bugged out of his head

"There is no way in hell you are dating this slime. You and Hermione are coming back to the burrow with me and Harry" he said angrily

" You are not my father and I am old enough to make my own decisions. Come on guys lets go." she said sternly as she glared at Ron. She grabbed Blaises hand and they stormed out of the Leaky Cauldron. Hermione and Draco got up and started to walk towrds the exit.

"Where do you think your going with my girlfriend, Malfoy?" Ron asked him as his temper started to rise.

"Ronald I am not your girlfriend. I never was and I never will be. I am so sick of you telling everyone that. If you didn't realize by now, I have a boyfriend. I've had one since the beginning of sixth year. I'm surprised Harry didn't tell you. He's know since October" she said as she glared at him.

Ron looked from Hermione to Draco and back, realizing it was Malfoy she was talking about.

"You can't be serious , Hermione!" he yelled

"Yes, I am" she said, " so serious that I love him and I've agreed to be his wife" she said showing them her engagement ring. " Lets go, Draco" she said as she grabbed his hand and storme dout of the bar also.
