Chapter 7.

Harry had to admit that Sirius was taking the news very well. He hadn’t jumped up and started yelling so it couldn’t be that bad right.

“So just run that past me again.” The animagus said.

“Okay well I wasn’t captured but went to Riddle manor to stay with the Dark Lord. And we have been together for almost two years and he has named me his partner under the name the Dark Prince.” Harry summarised.

“But you’re injured?” Sirius said.

“It’s spells Black.” Snape drawled.

“Ok so if this is all true then why come back? Why not just stay there and rule?”

“Well I came back to one finish school and also to get more support for the cause.” Harry said.

“And if he had stayed I doubt either of them would be doing any ruling.” Snape snorted.

“Hey!” Harry huffed.

“What it’s true. The two of you go at it like rabbits.”

“We do not!”

“Stop both of you.” Sirius cried. “Harry why did you tell me all this?”

“Well,” Harry started before looking at Snape who gave an encouraging nod. “you’re the only father I’ve known and I don’t want to loose you. So I thought that if I told you then you wouldn’t worry so much about me and that when the time came I wouldn’t have to face you in battle.”

“Oh.” Was all his godfather said. He seemed to be mulling over the information before he did or said anything too rash. “But you do know that he killed your parents. So if you know this why are you allying yourself with him?”

“It’s a really long story.” Harry sighed. Perhaps Sirius wasn’t taking it as well as he had originally thought.

“If you don’t mind I’ll tell him.” Snape said noting what the time was. “As it is you should, with all your injuries, be sleeping.”

Harry nodded as he collapsed back onto the bed. “Please just listen to him Siri.”


That night Harry lay awake wondering what his godfather thought of it all and if he had made the right decision in telling him. There was only one way he knew how to find out for sure without confronting the man. Closing his eyes he reached down through his link with the dark lord.

~Yes Harry.~ Harry heard Tom say through his link.

‘Yes I was wondering if it was alright if I told someone about us.’

~Who did you tell?~

‘Sirius.’

~Oh.~

‘Are you mad?’

~How could I be mad at you but I’m going to tell you now that you should clear with me first before blabbing to people and make sure you can trust them.~

‘I will Tom. I love you.’

~Love you to. Night.~

‘Night.’ Harry thought as he stared at the ceiling.


Sitting up in his bed Harry started to nervously twist his bed covers. Looking around he noted that it seemed that Sirius had not been in since the previous day and that simple fact caused a large block of ice to form in his stomach. Harry was just starting to feel a little bit queasy when the door opened.

“Hope you’re hungry.” Sirius said with a smile as he brought a laden tray into the room. “Molly made you enough food to last you all month.”

“Why?” Harry asked as he looked at the assortment of food.

“She seems to think that because you’re sick and taking potions you need to eat the same amount as an army.” Snape said as he closed the room door.

“Oh. Well do you guys want some?” Harry said offering the two some. While they were eating Harry noted that his godfather kept glancing at his potions master. By the time they were half way through their ridiculously large breakfast Harry had had enough.

“Alright so what’s going on.” Harry demanded of the two.

“Is that how he sounds at meeting?” Sirius asked Snape.

“Yes.”

“So?” Harry said impatiently.

“Well about what you told me yesterday. Well Snape filled me in more last night and I guess I understand a bit more. Although I must say that I’m not too happy with the fact that you sleeping with the dark lord. I’m worried that he’s just using you.”

“I could always introduce him to you.” Harry said feeling relieved that Sirius wasn’t mad at him.

“I guess.” Sirius said as he popped some toast into his mouth. “So who else are you thinking of telling?”

“Maybe Remus but I have to talk to Tom about it first. He wasn’t that happy that I told you without informing him first.”

“Tom?” Sirius asked raising an eyebrow.

“What do you expect me to call him Voldermort.” Harry shrugged.

“Well as cosy as this is I do believe that we have to go.” Snape said.
Harry nodded as the two left.
