Disclaimer: Most of these are not my characters they belong to J.K. Rowling. I’m just borrowing them.
Summary: Harry is soul bound to a half Fae.
Rated NC-17, I switched it due to my uncontrollable ability to be very graphic in my love scenes, which will come in time. I promise! ;)

Chapter 7: Politics
The Seelie throne room was a beautiful place with ornate carvings and marble columns. Jewels glittered brilliantly as they were embedded in the throne as well as the various statues that surrounded the room. By looking at the palace itself, you would have never known that it was hidden magically within a sacred grove.
Heather, the queen of the Seelie, was feeling a bit tired these days. She knew the day will come for someone to discover her daughter and would then discover her heritage. One of these people she feared was her own son. She had to hide her daughter’s identity for her own safety. Had things not turned out so badly with the Seelie people, Heather would have been able to raise her daughter outside of the Fae realm.
But as fate would have it, her life would be thrown into total chaos. Her daughter, Erin, was only three when there was a war between the Seelie and the Unseelie courts. A war that was brought on by the wizard’s Dark Lord. He arranged to have his Death Eaters mislead the Unseelie into believing that the Seelie were weak and that they could bring upon a war that would end the feud between them.
Every culture had a war between the light and the darkness, the good and the evil; the Seelie being of the light and the Unseelie the dark.
Heather was surprised to find that she would be queen, given that she was not in the direct line of succession. Her Aunt held the throne until she was murdered. But now that she was Queen, her daughter would be next in line. There was a time, not long ago, when it was always the eldest child that would be Heir, be it male or female. But that changed over 1000 years ago and so now the succession was within the female line.
“Mother.” Rhys said as he entered a throne room regally. “I have had some disturbing news.”
Rhys was tall for a Fae at about 6 foot and had long blond hair just like his mother. But instead of blue eyes, he had light green eyes that held secrets that only he knew of.
“Oh, and what is that, my son.” The Queen said without emotion as she turned to acknowledge her son.
“You have a daughter. And I know all to well that by the Seelie law, she is to be named Heir.” Rhys said with disgust getting right to the point. “My sources say that she has yet come into her powers, something that should have happened long ago. And, what is most disturbing is that she is a half breed.”
Heather was worried about this. She received news that her daughter found her way to Albus and was safe. But every kingdom has its spies. She also knew that her oldest child would one day be a problem, as he had grown to be selfish and self centered, unusual in a Seelie. She saw the evil that was brewing in her son, even as a child.
“I was informed that she indeed had powers.” Heather said casually as if she had no worries at all.
“What she can do is child’s play, mother, and you know it!” Rhys exclaimed. “I demand that she not be named Heir; the strength of the Fae requires it. They must ‘not’ have a weakling on the throne.”
“You have no right to advise me on who I shall or shall not name as Heir.” Heather sneered. “And she is not weak. She may be half human but she will be powerful. You may rely upon that.”
“If that is the way you will play this, then fine!” Rhys spit out. He was determined not to loose what he had worked so hard on. He was raised to believe that he was the Heir, as it was his right if no female child was born of the queen. And he was ‘not’ about to let some snit of a girl take that from him. “I challenge her to a duel, then. If she succeeds then I will step down and bother her no longer. But If I win, she dies!”
“How dare you demand such a thing? What have you done, son? Have you switched sides with that of the Unseelie? Are you a child of the dark now?” Heather asked in shock.
“That, my mother, is of no concern to you, as long as I win. But even if I do not win, she must still be with child before she is allowed to succeed you.” Rhys said with venom.
As Rhys left the throne room, he smiled evilly to himself as he knew he had a back up plan. If for some reason he did manage to loose, which was unlikely, he would simply have to prove that his long lost sister was infertile. Then, his mother would have no choice but to name him ‘Heir’. As by Seelie law, an Heir that could not produce children would not be allowed to succeed her. Proof of fertility must come first before the throne. Rhys swore that one way or another he would win!
Heather slumped in her chair after Rhys left. She was devastated that her son would go so low as to challenge Erin. At what point would the second prophecy start. Was this apart of it or was it just a right of passage?
