Albus Tries Matchmaking
Hey All welcome to my first ever Fan Fiction, most of the characters are not mine no matter how much I would love them to be. The only character that is mine is Aphrodite Taylor, she is mine all mine, he he. Hope you enjoy.
Albus Tries Matchmaking
December soon arrived and much to Severus\'s annoyance the Yule Ball was approaching, Albus had called a quick staff meeting which Severus had no intent on rushing to as it could only be about the dreadpcompcoming event. As it was he was right and he was also late, Minerva McGonagall glared at him as he slowly made his way in and sat in the corner distancing himself from everyone. Aphrodite glanced at him, he looked bored and kind of sad, she wondered if it was just Severus being Severus but didn\'t want to say something to him In case he bit her head off again so she turned her attentions to Remus who was talking to Sirius, he too didn\'t look overly happy with himself, Sirius however was grinning away with that mischievous face that she had always adored. When everyone had settled down Albus began talking. The plans for the Yule Ball sounded amazing but the other idea Albus had was rather alarming, he had made each member of the staff write their names on a piece of paper, blue for the males and pink for the women. Then he would put them into a hat and pick out one pink and one blue piece of paper.
\"I\'d rather pick my own partner thanks Albus\" said Minerva quietly
\"more like victim\" cried Rolana Hooch with laughter
\"Actually I\'m doing this so certain members of staff socialise a bit more\" said Albus cheerfully
All eyes turned to Severus, few of the staff smirked at him while Aphrodite looked a bit worried, she had that gut feeling she\'d be picked to be his partner. Her feeling got worse as the drawing of the names started, Minerva was to be partnered up with Albus \'Surprise Surprise\' thought Severus, Remus was to go with Rolanda Hooch, Sirius was to go with a horrified looking Sinistra, Dionysius pulled out Poppy Pomfrey and there it came the moment Aphrodite had been dreading out came her name, the suspense was killing her, it seemed to take Albus an eternity to read out the name,
\"..and Aphrodite will be going with Severus\" Albus announced
The look on Severus was on so annoyed it could have turned Albus to stone, he went over to Albus and started complaining immediately, Aphrodite overheard him saying stuff about her, she felt her eyes fill up with tears, next thing she was opening her mouth.
\"FINE SEVERUS! DON\'T BOTHER! I\'LL GO BY MYSELF!\" she shouted, the whole room heard her but she didn\'t care, then she ran out the room crying, all the members of staff were a bit shocked, none more so then Severus, he was speechless. Albus sent Sirius, Remus and Dionysius out to find her, they were out for three hours into the night looking for her and still had no idea where she was. They\'d decided to give up seeing as she\'d return when she was good and ready.
Sure enough when she was ready she did return but not in human form, Aphrodite hadn\'t told anyone she was an animagus, well no one except Dumbledore, her animagus form was a cat like Minerva, but instead of a tabby cat she was a tortoise shell cat, the reason her three friends couldn\'t find her was that she was sitting in the oak tree in her animagus form, she had however seen them looking for her, this cheered her up a little bit, knowing that some people did care for her even if Severus didn\'t. When she returned she saw a figure lying in front of her door, she was startled by this, it wasn\'t Remus, Sirius or Dion, it turned out to be Severus, she started clawing at him and he woke up, he started looking around to see what it was that attacked him and he spied the cat, he sat up to look closely at it, it wasn\'t Minerva or Filch\'s cat Mrs Norris. Then the cat started to transform into a human.
\"Aphrodite?!?\" he yelled in surprise
\"You was expecting?\" she snarled as she entered her room, he followed her and watched her run a bath. He had no idea what he was going to say now he had found her.
\"Umm..I suppose an apology is in order\" he said quietly
\"For what exactly?\" she glared at him, he had allot of things to be sorry for
\"For nearly everything I\'ve done or said, I would like to go to the ball with you...umm....\" he tried to smile but to tell the truth he looked half scared of her reaction, Aphrodite started to cry again so Severus walked over and wrapped his arms around her.
\"Still hate you\" she sniffled and he looked at her and smiled
\"So do Minerva, Rolanda and Poppy, they spent ages having a go at me\"
She laughed and held him closely, Severus kept thinking how he wanted to kiss her, he had to hold himself back because he didn\'t want to push his luck.
