What Is This Feeling?

Chapter 6: Is It True?

Without thinking Mitch leaned in and gently pressed her lips against Hermione’s.


Hermione was at a lost for a moment when she felt Mitch’s lips against hers, after a moment of hesitation she responded to the kiss pulling Mitch closer to her not wanting to let go.

Mitch wrapped her arms tighter around her waist as she wanted to deepen the kiss, running her tongue across Hermione’s bottom lip asking for entrance. She never had this feeling before with other kisses; she never felt such a rush of any kind. Without thinking she granted the American entrance opening up to the girl that makes her heart race with just a simple word.

Jessie kept watching from the window and did not like what she saw not at all. ‘Mitch belongs to me’ she thought to herself as she walked away from the window and out of the room. She would get some sleep in the Slytherin dorm where she was shown to by Pansy. On her way there the plan she had would take full effect in the morning. She would do everything in her power to make Mitch hers even if it meant getting rid of Hermione.

Hermione and Mitch were locked in a passionate kiss that they didn’t want to let go feeling as if it were a dream and if they let go it would end and they would wake up. But with oxygen becoming an issue Mitch slowly pulled away from Hermione’s soft lips and let her forehead touch Hermione’s. All they could do now is to try and catch their breath after a mind blowing kiss all they could do was smile at each other and look into each other’s eyes.

Hermione broke the silence, “Wow”

Mitch nodded, “Yeah”

They stood like that for a few more moments scared to move still afraid that this might be a dream until they realized how late it was getting.

“We better get back inside and get some sleep,” Hermione whispered. As soon as she said that Mitch let her arms drop from her waist and she took Hermione’s hand in hers lacing their fingers together, “Well let’s go then,” she said with a smile.

They walked back up to the castle hand in hand wearing smiles on each of their faces. They walked in a comfortable silence until they got to their dorm. Saying the password together they walked into the common area then up the stairs to their rooms. They stopped outside of Hermione’s room, “Well guess I’ll see you in the morning,” Mitch said with a smile still holding her hand.

All Hermione could do was nod and blush she was at a loss for words still thinking about that mind blowing kiss and just being here with this amazing girl. Before Hermione could say goodnight her lips were met again by Mitch’s soft warm lips. Only this time it was a brief kiss not like the passionate one they had down by the lake.

“Goodnight and sweet dreams beautiful,” Mitch whispered against her lips and without another word she walked further up the stairs to her room and turned around and winked at Hermione before walking into her room and closing the door behind her. Hermione blushed and walked into her room and smiled. She stood there for a moment before getting ready for bed she couldn’t believe she kissed at girl and she liked it. With a small laugh she walked over to her dresser and grabbed her night clothes and began to get ready for bed.

Mitch was looking through her DVDs so she could fall asleep to something. Still smiling after leaving Hermione at her door, she finally found a movie that she could fall asleep to. It was 8 Mile staring her favorite rapper, Eminem, but all she could think about was that kiss she shared with Hermione. She turned on her TV and DVD player, “Damn she’s a good kisser” she said to herself as she got the DVD out of the case and put in the player.
As the menu screen came up she pressed play on her remote and dimmed her lights with just a wave of her hand. She climbed into her bed and started to watch the movie, after about thirty minutes she fell asleep with a smile on her face thinking of a beautiful Gryffindor.

Hermione climbed into her bed after getting changed into her night clothes still smiling she was hoping that tomorrow wouldn’t be awkward. Not wanting to think about tomorrow morning she dimmed her lights with a wave of her wand and laid down still smile and within a few moments she was asleep thinking of an amazing girl.

Mitch woke up to some one banging on her door, groaning and getting out of bed she walked over to her door and opened it, and standing right there was her ex Jessie. “Good morning sunshine,” she said with a smile forcing her way in. Before Mitch could close her door she saw Hermione come out of her room all dressed and ready for the day. Leaving Jessie in the room she rushed over to Hermione forgetting that she was in her pajama pants and tank top she reached her, “I need your help,” she told her.

Hermione smiled, “Already?” Mitch nodded and grabbed her hand pulling her into her room, and there Hermione saw Jessie looking around Mitch’s room, she turned to her and asked in a whisper, “How did she get in?”

“She heard us say the password last night remember,”

“We’re changing it as soon as possible”

“I agree with you there” she responded with a smile and continued to look into those chocolate brown eyes of hers and ended up getting lost again.

Hermione didn’t care that they psycho ex was in the room she just wanted to take Mitch in her arms and kiss her like there was no tomorrow. Those crystal blue eyes of this American always got her lost and it always seemed like her brain would shut down and that she couldn’t think, in a good way though.

Jessie was looking around Mitch’s room talking about how she got her own room and that she had to share a dorm with four other girls. After looking around she turned back to the door and saw Hermione and Mitch holding hands and looking at each other not saying a word, and she didn’t like what she saw.

“So Mitch, I don’t understand how you’ll be able to get any inspiration from this place,” she said interrupting them. Mitch closed her eyes and sighed, “It’s nice and quite and it’s something I need right now Jessie, some time to relax after everything,” She told her and she looked back at Hermione as if to say ‘Save me.’

“So is it true then? What they said about you back at school,” Jessie said with a knowing smile.

“What did they say?” Hermione asked wondering was secret that Mitch was keeping from her.

“Oh she didn’t tell you well it’s a funny stor-“Jessie started

“Jessie” Mitch said stopping her, “I need to get dressed and ready I’ll see you in class,” she told her wanting this girl to leave so she could talk to Hermione alone.
“Fine I’ll see you later dear,” and with that Jessie walked up to Mitch and gave her a kiss on her cheek once she was gone Mitch closed her door and started to rub her cheek as if to get Jessie’s kiss off her cheek.

“So what’s true?” Hermione asked as Mitch went to her dress pulling out her clothes so she could get ready.

She closed her eyes as she set her pants on her bed, “I had some trouble back at my old school,” she told her as she grabbed her shirt from the top drawer as well as her tie.

“What kind of trouble?”

“The kind that earned me the reputation that if you fuck with me I’ll fuck you up type of reputation,” she said as she grabbed her clothes and walked into her bathroom closing the door so she could get dressed.

“Did you hurt some one?”

“Define hurt” she called from the bathroom.

Hermione thought for a minute and ask, “Did you get into a fight of some kind?”

Mitch opened the door dressed in her dress pants her white long sleeve button down shirt tucked in and all she had to do was put on her tie, “Yeah it was a fight a nasty one” she told her as she stood in front of the mirror and started to tie her tie up.

“Do you want to talk about it?”

Mitch gave up on her tie and sighed, “There’s a lot of things in my past that I’m not proud of and I’m scared that if I talk about them with you now I’m going to loose you and I don’t want that,” with that she returned to tying her tie.

Hermione walked over to her and turned her around, “Here let me,” she said as she started to tie Mitch’s tie for her, “You won’t loose me; like I told you on the train when ever you want to talk I’m here. You’re gonna be stuck with me whether you like it or not,” she said with a smile, “There now you’re all set for your first day,” she said as she finished with the tie.

Mitch took her hands, “Thank you for understanding,” she said kissing her forehead, “We should head down and get some breakfast,” Hermione said and Mitch nodded lacing their fingers together they walked out of her room and out of the dorm and made their way down to breakfast.

They were both ready for the challenges and ready for anything that came their way. This year was their last year and this year Mitch had a chance to start fresh and she was hoping that Hermione can help her along the way.
