Late night talks and early confessions
Lucius stared at me for awhile before striding from the room, I was stunned unsure as what to do or say to him. Draco had walked into the room at the end and was staring at me; I could see the surprise in his eyes that his father had found me. “Elizabeth when did you? Didn’t they, your memories?” Draco’s stunned face made me smile a little as I engulfed him in a hug. “Yes they did but your father found me right as I was about to marry another man and all my memories came back, I have been here since late last night.”
Draco stared at the door that his father had gone through only seconds before; “Voldemort was here wasn’t he?” I nodded looking slightly distressed about what we had to do. “He expects father to marry you right?” I nodded sitting on the steps of the staircase holding my head in my hands. Draco placed his arm around me slightly rocking me as I stared up into his grey eyes. “And I believe that the order is trying to get yours and Hermione’s marriage annulled so they can marry her off to one of their own?”
Nodding Draco stood and I could see his face cloud over at the thought of his wife, “She will never allow them to, we love each other too much to loose it now.” The love in his eyes was enough for even the most hardhearted person to know he meant every word. Suddenly he looked at me again and I knew he was about to question me.
“How was it? You know having your memories removed then suddenly realising everything was a lie and that you had been in a world where magic was real, I mean Elizabeth you were I mean are a slave.” It suddenly dawned on me just how right he was, all in all I was still just the muggle girl kidnapped and kept by a man who would hate my kind more then anything in the world, a man who now was forced to marry me.
“Oh god Draco you are right, and now Lucius is expected to marry me.” Draco once again looked thoughtful, “Lizzy I know this is strange but weirder things have happened, I mean if you asked me when I first met Hermione that I would of married and fallen in love with her I would of thought you crazy, but with love you cannot choose who cupid’s arrow hits.”
“But he doesn’t love me Draco, he saved me that’s all then something developed but I know its not love.” Tears coursed down my face as I once again sat in my chair with my shoulders slumped with defeat. Draco’s warm arm around my shoulders made me look up at him. “Lizzy you just have to believe, I have seen the way Father looks at you and I have not seen him look at any woman that way since my mother died.”
I had seen a photo of Narcissa she was a stunning woman, more beautiful then me. “Lizzy all you can do is go through with this wedding and then you will see just how much he cares about you, for he let you go only to hunt you down now does this seem the actions of a man not in love?” I summarised what was said and yes it was true if Lucius did not care for me he would never of come looking for me.
“Oh Draco you are right, but what should I do? Should I find him and tell him its all okay or should I wait until tonight?” Draco shrugged giving me a small smile, “Waiting will only make it harder, go find him and not in words but actions show him just how much you want to be his now and forever.”
I nodded jumping up running to the door I stopped looking back at my soon to be stepson. “Draco, find her, tell Hermione you love her and want to stay forever together then find a way, a love like yours only comes once in a lifetime don’t let someone else ruin it for you.” His smile filled my heart with more happiness as I ran from the room intent on finding the man I was to call my own.
A/N I know that Lucius is out of character as well as Draco but they do say do not judge a book by its cover :-D
