Young hearts

Hermione Electra Rhiannon Ariston. That was her full name with the glory it brought. She stepped down from the Portal Platform and marched out of the room. Saga followed her with her all-seeing gaze.

Time to see if I really am what Saga hoped to turn me into, she thought bitterly and clicked on her radio.

“DM-404!” she barked and waited.

“Yeah?” came a sleazy answer.

“Get your ass to Mess Hall!” demanded Hermione and called for BZ-201 to get both her Switchers together.

Mess Hall was almost deserted and so it made easier to find Blaise already waiting for her. He sat behind one table and read some reports.

Hermione went straight to him and after looking around she sat down.

“Where’s Malfoy?” she asked and glanced over the pile of reports Blaise was skimming through.

“Probably somewhere…” started Blaise and then the doors of the Mess Hall opened and Draco strode in. “And here he is now,” finished Blaise and put down the record.

Draco glared at Blaise and then looked at Hermione who nodded. He pulled out a chair and flipped it around to straddle it.

“So? What’s the rush?” he drawled and draped his arm over the chair’s back.

“We have to sort things out before we go against Ancients,” said Hermione and leaned back. Draco’s face went blank while Blaise was staring at Draco with mixed emotions.

“What is there to sort?” asked Draco. “Romeo over here tried to make you his with dark magic. I only wanted to help you,” he said quietly.

“Hey! I only wanted to override the influences of her ‘fiancé’s’ dark love magic!” protested Blaise. “I’d never hurt her!”

“With the same magic?”

“There was no other stronger than that!”

“Or did you do it because of your mother?”

“What? No!”

“Oh, I know that black widow enough. If there hadn’t been Mione, then that hag would have been my future stepmom!”

“Don’t talk like that about my mother! She is very…”

“She marries for fortune! How many husbands does she have had? Nine? Ten? Eleven?”

“That is non of your business!”

Hermione tried to keep up with them but finally took one report and started to read it while blocking the argument out of her head. She had figured that might happen. Those two needed to sort things out more that she.

About half an hour later the quarrel had died down a bit and so Hermione came in at last.

“I only need to know one thing from you,” she said. Blaise and Draco looked intensely at her and waited for the question. Hermione took a deep breath.

“What is it that you feel for me?”

The answer was silence.

Hermione closed her eyes. Perhaps they weren’t ready, she thought and started to stand up when a hand grabbed her wrist. It was Draco.

“I’m obsessed by you,” he said. Hermione looked at him and settled down on the chair to listen him.

“I want you but I don’t know how to have you,” he confessed and his face was paler than ever. Even he was shocked by his own words.

“Obsession is a strong form of love, Draco,” said Hermione quietly and reached out a hand to caress his cheek. Draco shivered from her touch.

“And it’s also a madness,” she added and slithered a slender finger over his lips. Draco growled as she retreated her warm hand and turned to look at Blaise. Italian, who usually was so calm in such situations, was falling apart.

“I need to know,” said Hermione.

“I… I have secretly loved you since forever,” he told and relaxed when he had finally said it out loud. Hermione watched him carefully.

“An obsession that is,” she said, “A powerful passion to make things happen.”

She cast one final look on them and stood up.

“Keep that in mind,” she told and walked out of the Mess Hall.

Atlantea had caught up with the little armada of Ancients ships. Titan had finally arrived and the party could finally start. Major Paris stood next to Hermione if front of a wide screen.

“Odin and Osiris should flee already,” mumbled Hermione as she looked at the two green dots surrounded by other red dots. “Why aren’t they moving?”

“Perhaps Morrigan changed the protocol,” guessed Paris.

“Why?”

“Don’t know. She was an oddball,” said Paris and ordered to bring Atlantea out of the Void for Ancients to see.

“I know but she wasn’t daft,” told Hermione and watched the screen where Atlantea was marked as a blue dot. A green one as Titan was following them out of the Void to the open plane of Midgard Universe.

“Here we go,” muttered Hermione and waited when they were discovered.

“I believe we should warn your Switchers,” said Paris.

“I already did. I can sense them again. Vaguely but still,” told Hermione and smirked when Draco and Blaise arrived onto the bridge. Paris eyed the two of them and then looked back at the screen. Red dots had changed their position and it was very clear that they had seen Titan.

“Mione?” dared Draco to ask, “We should go now.”

“Yes, I know,” told Hermione and turned around to look at two humble looking young wizards. They wore tactical suits with protection gear. They looked like real soldiers. And that’s what they were.

Hermione looked at Paris and smiled.

“If we don’t make it, I hope we’ll meet again in another life,” she said and left with Blaise and Draco.
