Chaper Four - Through The Castle





" That idiot!...that little fool!"



Severus Snapes thoghts were racing as he stood at the back of the black robed mob. He watched, his heart sinking as the Dark Lord blasted in the door of the hut. What had Potter been thinking?! Snape twitched with anxiety. The little fool could have actualy gotten away with it if he hadnt lit the dam fire!



Around him, Snape\'s so called "fellows" cheered as the Dark Lord strode into the hut. In the hush that followed, he heard a shout, a bang, and an odd whooshing noise. Snape closed his eyes and turning, looked up at the castle. He looked at the tower in which the headmasters quarters where located and prayed that Harry had had the sence to keep the floo powder he must have found with him.



" Severus!"



Snape quickly looked around and then made his way to where Lord Voldemort was emerging from the dark interior of the hut.



" Severus, why was this fireplace not disconnected? I seem to remember giving specific orders that the school be searched for such escape routs."



Voldemort\'s voice was deadly as he gestured to the hut behind him.



" And yet, Severus, there apear to be...deficencies..."



Snape bowed low.



" My Lord, this route has been left purposfully for the capture of students who would wish to do such a thing, it has been redirected, M\'Lord"



Voldemort\'s eyebrow raised a little and Snape continued hurridley.



" To waste no more time, Potter will now be in front of the fire in the headmasters office, and under a full body bind"



Voldemort\' eyes gleamed.

" SHIT "





Harry thought deperatley as he lay imobile in Snapes office. He should have known it would be too easy to work. He tried to move but of course it was useless.



" Corpus Mobili!"



Harry stiffened as a faint, crackely voice spoke up behind him, waiting for his limbs to start moving again. Nothing happened.



" Think it boy! Quick! I cant do it myself... Merlins beard! I thought they at leist taught you the theory of wandless magic..." Said the faint voice.



" Its no use." Said another voice, this time like old parchment " They nether get it in time, and anyway, didnt Professer Snape say he was going to take you down if you kept doing this?..."



A surge of hope entered Harry and he closed his eyes.



...Corpus Mobili...Corpus Mobili...



Focusing franticaly on the incantation as the voices above him continued to bicker, Harry reapeated the incantation over and over.

Once again becoming desperate, he reapeated the incantation several more times before suddenly, with a strange rushing from his head to his toes, he felt control come back to him. Grinning triumphantly, Harry got up, perhaps he wasnt so pants at wandless magic after all..



" Ha!" Said what Harry now recognised as a portrait of one of Hogwarts past Headmistresses. The old witch stuck her tounge out petulantly at a portrait of an old wizard with a mustach across the room.



" You\'d better move fast, Harry Potter." Said a portrait to his right " The headmaster has means of knowing when a student tried this sort of thing."



" Um...Ok" Said Harry already running for the door " Tha-"



" And not that way!, the door will already be locked, part of the enchantment, theres a broom in here somewhere-"



" Their coming!" Shreikied the portrait of the old witch.



The room went still and Harry\'s heart began to beat faster as a faint rustling sound came from outside the windows. With a short click, the window next to the desk began to open.



" Fuck!"



Backing away towards the curved staircase, Harry thrust his hand into his pocket and pulled out his invisibility cloak. Throwing it over himself, he began to creep backwards up the stairs, just as Lord Voldemort and Severus Snape stepped into the room.



He continued to back up quietly as the two men made their way swiftly around the heavy desk and came to a stop where Harry had been lying not half a minute before.



" Well Severus? Where is he?" Voldemorts voice was once again deadly.



" Freed himself" Chirped one of the old portraits.



" What!?"



Both men turned and looked, unervingly, at the place where Harry was standing. Nervusly, he backed throught the doorway. Looking around, Harry spotted the broomstick lying againsed a stack of school reports and snatched it up, moving quickly into another room, he unlatched a window as boots thudded rapidly up the stairs.



Keeping a firm hold on the invisibility cloak, Harry jerked open the window, and jumped.

Authors Note : This chapter is perhaps a little shorter than the others but the next one will will probably be longer, BTW should I start stringing chapter together when I have enough or are people ok with the length they are now?
