Disclaimer:
I do not own Harry Potter, nor any of the characters from the books or movies. I do not make any money from the writing of this story.
What's wrong with my Aura?
And straight into the next chapter cause Pensieve Plotter is beta-ing fast like the wind :)
Sorry if it seems that the chapters are just kind of stumbling a long and there is no actual storyline visible yet. Stuff will come up in chapter 7 or 8 which start a chain of events and we will get down to more sexual stuff as well. It just felt to me that I needed all these chapters in the beginning to introduce all the characters to each other and make clear where everyone stands -sort of thing.
I hope you enjoy it anyway, and leave me a little review if you have the time!

Chapter 5
What\'s wrong with my Aura
A few days later Eleanor walked down the hallway with Luna when Ginny crossed their way. Eleanor was glad to see Luna\'s friend again, she still felt bad about shouting at her. And she was still worried that Ginny might not like her. In fact Eleanor expected her to give her a mean look or to at least ignore her and walk way around her. But she did not. She waved at them from further away and hurried up to meet them.
“Hi you two! I just had divination, Merlin\'s beard what a lot of bollocks! And how are you, Ellie?“
Eleanor blinked, rather surprised to be spoken to so directly and friendly as though nothing had happened.
“Good”, she managed to say.
“We have Divination now,” said Luna.
“Have fun with the old fraud. Do you guys want to meet at the library later? I have to write an essay for Snape. You are good at potions I hear, maybe you can help me, Ellie?”
“I can try,” Eleanor answered finding it all going much too easy.
“Brilliant, see you then!“ Ginny disappeared.
Luna smiled at Eleanor and they continued down the hall towards the tower in which they had Divination.
It was their first Divination lesson and it was the first time Eleanor climbed the ladder up into that heavily scented room with its little cushions, curtains and teapots.
When Professor Trelawney introduced the class and asked them all to get out their card sets and sit together in teams, Eleanor was quite excited with anticipation. She had never had Divination. It was not taught at her school. It wasn\'t as though the Headmistress of her school did not believe in Divination, it was simply due to the fact that the old Divination teacher had committed suicide after she saw her own fate in a crystal, and since the school was in financial problems they simply decided to use that opportunity to cut the subject.
Eleanor was however highly interested in Divination. She was eagerly shuffling her set of cards and only wished she could see better what Professor Trelawney was demonstrating. She had her back almost completely turned to her and Luna. Eventually Eleanor felt she could not keep up with the instructions, without seeing them, so she interrupted, “Professor, I\'m sorry, could you... could you turn slightly? We cannot see...”
Trelawney shook and froze as though Eleanor had thrown something at the back of her head. Then she turned around to face her. Her hugely magnified eyes glared at her in something that looked like fear and terror. She clutched her cards and gave a funny little sound.
“Hmmm Miss Prince, of course... forgive me I... I was subconsciously trying to repel your aura. I... I will try not to do that anymore in such an obvious way.“
She turned herself mechanically slightly more towards them but it hardly made a difference, she avoided looking at Eleanor again, so Eleanor did not try to ask her again.
At the end of the class Eleanor remained seated, only slowly putting away her cards. She looked around, everyone else was leaving. Trelawney continued shuffling her cards and paid no more attention to the students. Luna got up and looked at Eleanor expectantly.
“You go ahead.“ Eleanor said and turned to Trelawney. Luna shrugged and turned to the door.
Trelawney suddenly looked up.
“Don\'t!“
Luna stopped.
“Don\'t leave me alone with her!“ Luna and Eleanor looked at each other and Luna turned back to them and sat down on a cushion, a bemused vague smile on her face as though she was getting ready to watch a little sketch.
Trelawney meanwhile started clutching her cards again and pressing her lips together nervously as Eleanor slowly approached her.
“Professor... can I just ask... what did you mean? You were repelling my aura?... I mean why? What\'s wrong with my aura?”
Trelawney shifted her nervously blinking eyes to Luna, as though to check that she was still there.
“Nothing... specific,” Trelawney managed to say.
“And unspecifically”?
Professor Trelawney mumbled inaudibly and waved her away, making clear to Eleanor she wanted her to go away. But Eleanor stepped forward:
“Please tell me what is the matter. How am I supposed to learn anything, if you can\'t even look at me? What\'s wrong?!“
“Tell her to go away!” Trelawney cried, obviously addressing Luna who did not seem to realise this, since she only followed the scene as though in the theatre.
“Go away, please!” she shrieked again and Eleanor gave up. She hesitated, watching the insect-like woman panicking. As desperate as Eleanor was to get things cleared up, she realised there was nothing she could do. She stepped backwards ‘till she reached Luna. Luna took her hand and smiled softly.
“I think she might have seen you turn into a nargle... in a vision, you know. I suppose that\'s hard to digest. Let’s go. Ginny said she wanted to meet us. I like meeting Ginny. She\'s a real friend.“
Eleanor looked at Luna, distracted slightly but forced herself to listen to her and with one last glance at Professor Trelawney, who was stumbling backwards muttering in terror. She turned and followed Luna down the ladder.
Shortly later they entered the library.
Quickly they saw Ginny sitting at a desk in a corner. She had a tower of big old books in front of her and looked up when they entered. She waved at them.
Luna and Eleanor sat down opposite her. Ginny easily spotted the worry and confusion on Eleanor\'s face.
“What\'s with you? Did Trelawney predict your death?”
Eleanor frowned, “No, why would she?”
“Dunno. I hear she does that all the time and you look like you have been exposed to one of her predictions. Anyway that\'s what Harry looked like when she told him he was going to die.”
“Harry Potter”? Eleanor asked once again, realising someone had referred to the incredibly famous boy who lived. But neither Ginny nor Luna paid much attention to her interest.
“So what happened?”
“I believe it had to do with nargles,” said Luna wisely. Ginny shifted her eyes from Luna back to Eleanor, deciding she was not going to follow up Luna\'s theory.
Eleanor hesitated, “I believe she is afraid of me.”
“Well, maybe you can use that. You know, threaten her to give you good grades,” Ginny joked.
“But what\'s her problem? I haven\'t done anything to her. I\'m not scary.”
“Well, you are a little bit,” Ginny mused, looking her over. Eleanor was taken aback.
“I am not,” she said seriously and Ginny shrugged. Eleanor closed her eyes. She was doing it again. She wanted to be a nice and fun person to be around so that people like Ginny would like her. And right now she was anything but nice and fun.
“Sometimes people are scared of things for no reason,” said Luna suddenly into the silence. “St. Mungo\'s has an entire Department dedicated to people who have a phobia against strawberries.“
Eleanor was only half listening. She had spotted something a few rows down near the Restricted Section: Some very blonde hair. It was so light and shiny that it seemed to reflect all light in the room. It was an eye catcher she could not resist. It belonged to a tall slim boy, his skin was just as light and the green in his tie made the icy green in his eyes pop. He was leaning against a bookshelf, looking through a very large book he had pulled out of the shelf behind him. He looked like an angel, - apart from the fact that he seemed slightly annoyed and a bit stressed. He was a bit older, Eleanor figured, possibly a sixth or seventh year and the green in his uniform told her he was in Slytherin, Professor Snape\'s house.
Ginny flicked a finger in front of her nose, “Hello anyone home?”
“Oh, yes, I am very sorry about that, Ginny, I don\'t know why I ...”
Ginny interrupted her, “Don\'t be silly.…what are you looking at?“ She bent further over the desk to see what it was that had distracted Eleanor. When she saw the boy, her brow furrowed.
“Oh no. Not him, Ellie. No way.”
“Sorry?” Eleanor looked back at her confused.
“Don\'t even think about it!“ said Ginny warningly. Eleanor had no idea what Ginny was talking about so she decided to ignore it.
“Who is that?” she asked instead.
“Draco Malfoy,” Ginny said her voice full of contentment. “Slytherin\'s most revolting bastard ferret!”
“Ferret?”
“Long story. Now listen, he is filth! Don\'t you go anywhere near him.”
“He doesn\'t look....filthy” Eleanor said, her eyes strangely vacant as she looked back over to Draco.
Luna next to her focused. “He is rather handsome, isn\'t he.... He was in a dream of mine the other night actually...”
“Stop it! Both of you!” Ginny shouted, repulsed.
Eleanor was rather relieved that this time it was Ginny who seemed to be losing her temper.
“What is the problem?” Eleanor asked.
Ginny leaned closer so she would not be overheard.
“Draco is Harry\'s enemy. He is Snape\'s pet and his father is a Death Eater.” Eleanor blinked. That was more information in one sentence than she had expected.
“Harry Potter…” she only managed to say, recognising the famous boy\'s name again, but then she forgot him instantly as Draco looked up, and his cold green eyes gazed over to them. Eleanor\'s heart sank. This boy had the most amazing, pale green eyes. ‘Was he looking at her’? She blushed, but noticed quickly that his eyes were not focusing on her, he was looking past her. Eleanor looked around. Three students had entered the library. Now Ginny looked up as well and waved again, this time towards the new arrivals.
The three came closer.
“Hey Gin’, Luna...” said the girl in their middle and they sat down at their desk.
“What\'re you up to?”
“Wasting time, looking like we’re being studious,” said Ginny smiling, “oh, guys, this is Eleanor Prince, you saw her at the feast getting sorted to Ravenclaw.”
“Yes, congratulations. Ravenclaw is a great house to be in. It would be my second choice after Gryffindor of course,” said the girl and She reached out to shake Eleanor\'s hand.
“And these are my friends, Hermione Granger, my brother Ron, and Harry Potter.”
Eleanor\'s eyes shifted violently to the boy on her left. He seemed so average. She would not have noticed him in the hallways. Maybe she had passed him before but she would not remember. He was short with glasses. There did not seem to be anything powerful about him. It was hard to believe that he had faced You-Know-Who so many times and was just standing there like any average boy. Eleanor rose slowly from her chair, staring.
“Harry Potter...” she breathed. The boy smiled awkwardly, looking at his friends to avoid her violent stare.
Eleanor fixed her eyes on his forehead.
“Can I …. Would you mind...” she stuttered. Harry knew what she was trying to spot and scooped his fringe out of his brow so his scar became visible.
Eleanor\'s eyes widened at the sight of it. It was so small…one little scar in the skin was all that was left of You-Know-Who\'s near destruction from many years ago. Now that he was at large once again it seemed insignificant.... a bit pitiful.
Eleanor slowly reached out her hand, having often dreamed about shaking the Chosen One\'s hand. Harry took it, yet with a slightly distrusting look on his face.
“Pleased to meet you,” breathed Eleanor in what she did not realise was a voice that sent chills down everyone\'s back.
“Here for an autograph session, Potter? Or just to pick up a new groupie?”
Everyone turned around. Draco Malfoy strode by, his hands in his pockets. He was already by the door. Nobody replied anything. Eleanor blushed, let go of Harry\'s hand and sank back into her chair.
“Ponce,” said Ron quietly, then threw himself in a chair opposite Eleanor.
“So, you and Snape are related?”
Hermione shot him a disapproving look that he ignored.
“Yes” said Eleanor simply; “His mother was my great aunt.”
“I\'m so sorry,” joked Ron and Hermione\'s look at him darkened even more.
“What do you have against him?“ asked Eleanor
“He didn\'t mean that!“ Hermione said and she looked at Harry, hoping for help. Harry only rose a brow, “What are you looking at me for?”
Hermione rolled her eyes and kicked Ron against the leg under the desk, hoping it was subtle, which it wasn\'t, since Ron jumped in his chair.
“What is it like,” asked Eleanor suddenly looking at Harry, “being related to You-Know-Who?”
“What?“ Harry asked blinking.
“I understand there is a strong bond between you and him, since that night, the night he gave you the scar.”
“Did Uncle Snape tell you about that?”
“Uncle Snape tells me absolutely nothing“ snapped Eleanor but her features softened instantly again. Harry hesitated.
“Voldemort didn\'t give me that scar. The scar just happened, okay?”
“Okay,” said Eleanor factually and she continued to look at him with her black deep eyes.
It was awkwardly silent for a while. Then Harry seemed unable to keep it up any longer.
“Look, I\'m sorry... but I do not chat about me and Voldemort with strangers.”
Eleanor shifted her eyes over to Ron. “And I do not chat about me and Professor Snape.”
“Ginny says you\'re really good at Potions!” blurted Hermione to disrupt the tension.
Eleanor looked at her: “I like Potions. And Professor Snape is very good at teaching it.”
Ron snorted loudly. But even before Eleanor had turned her dark eyes back on him Ginny had smacked him in the face.
“Hey!” He cried, looking in shock at his sister. “What the hell...?”
“You know what the hell,” said Ginny and she smiled back at Eleanor.
“Reminds me. Can you please explain to me how Blood Cleansing Potions can work without having to lose the infested blood? ‘Cause that is the part I didn\'t get.”
