Things Happen

“Ugh this baby’s favorite thing to do is kick me and sit on my bladder.” Hermione moaned as she lay on the floor in Harry and Ginny’s apartment talking to Ginny while four year old James Potter and Alyson played. Hermione ignored Ginny’s laugh and rubbed her expanded belly. When the door opened they looked up to see Harry walk in carrying three month old Liliana Potter. He handed the baby to Ginny and asked the two four year old if they wanted to take a walk with him which they readily agreed to.

Hermione smiled as the kids ran from the room laughing hysterically. “Harry is so good with them. I just hope Severus will be accepting of the fact that he is a father when I tell him.”

“He’s coming back soon isn’t he?”

“Yeah Minerva said he would be back sometime this week. She just didn’t know what day exactly.”

“So do you want to come to the Burrow with Harry and me for Christmas dinner?” Ginny asked changing the subject

“No thanks I think I just want to stay here and relax.” Hermione smiled at her friend and they started talking about what they bought the kids for Christmas.

Harry ran down the hall after the four year olds as they were screaming with laughter. He grabbed James and started to tickle him and while James giggled in delight and Alyson kept on running. She ran around the corner and right into someone’s legs and holding onto them she hid in his robes laughing and saying “Uncle Harry hide, hurry hide” The owner of the legs stared down in disgust at the child with Jet black hair who was currently hiding her face in his clothing and laughing. He sneered when he saw Harry Potter come around the corner carrying a child.

“Does this child belong to you also Potter.”

‘Oh no Snape she isn’t mine, she is a friends daughter. Alyson come here sweetie lets go see mummy.” Harry picked up Alyson and saw her look at Severus Snape the man that is her father and she smiled at him.

‘Thank you for hiding me mister.”

Severus Snape stared in shock at the child in his enemy’s arms. He recognized the girl’s eyes and even her hair, but the smile was the most familiar thing about her. He didn’t have time to react because Harry Potter had already turned around and was walking away from him.

“Hermione I think we have a slight problem little Miss Alyson ran into our favorite Potions professor, literally.”


“Do you think he realized anything?”

“I am going to go with yes; I think he knows exactly who Alyson Granger really is. Hermione you really should go talk to him.”

“I know Harry I know, but look at me I am six months pregnant he is going to have a cow.”

Harry Potter smiled and looked at his best friend. “Can we come and watch when you tell him he is a daddy?”

“No, Harry James Potter you may not.” Hermione said laughing at his crestfallen expression. “Just watch Alyson for me. I will be back as soon as I can.”

“Just don’t sleep with him again. Who knows you may end up pregnant for the rest of your life.” Harry called and just laughed when Hermione gave him the finger.

Hermione walked down to the dungeons feeling sick to her stomach and not wanting to throw up. When she reached his door she raised a shaking hand to knock. He answered a short while later and stared at her in shock.

“You’re Pregnant.”

Hermione smile “Very observant of you Mr. Snape.”

“Was that little girl that was with Potter today my child? Is this one mine also?”

“Yes Severus, Alyson is your daughter and so is this baby.”

“Are you absolutely sure they are mine? They could be anyone’s.”

Hermione stared at him in outrage. “You insufferable pig, I can’t believe you would say something like that to me.”

“Well why didn’t you tell me about the children before now? The older one is four years old and you are what six months pregnant.”

“Oh lets see you kicked me out of bed the first time we had sex by saying and I quote ‘I never want to see you again’ and then when I tried to tell you last June you didn’t believe me when I said I needed to talk. Instead we ended up on the floor of my hotel room, and guess what I am pregnant again.”

“I don’t want to be a father. I never wanted to be a father.”

Hermione pulled out her wand “Don’t worry I can fix that for you.” She said while pointing her wand at his crotch. She got a happy feeling seeing him turn as white as a ghost and put his hands down to protect himself.

“Put the wand away woman. It’s not my fault you got pregnant; you probably seduced me on purpose.”

Hermione was getting pissed off “You jack ass I didn’t not get pregnant on purpose, but let me tell you I would not give up having my kids for anything. They are the best things to ever happen to me and I wouldn’t change that. You can go to hell.” Hermione practically ran from the room. When she returned to Harry and Ginny’s apartment she was breathing deeply and planning ways to kill Severus Snape with you getting caught.

“How did it go?” Ginny asked

“Oh it went great.” She responded sarcastically “First he accused me sleeping around and then he said he doesn’t want to be a father and that he never wanted to be one. I did offer to fix that for him though. Then to top it all off he said maybe I did it on purpose. PIG”
