Chapter 5
Ginny woke with the sun, not having slept well with all nightmares
and flashes of Draco’s smiling face.
Ginny could understand if she was scared of him yet intrigued she
had heard that he had reformed and
was helping rebuild the ministry. But he was still a Malfoy,
Ginny laughed to her self as she walked into
her bathroom with her wand. She was a Malfoy in a way now too
wasn’t she. Ginny shock her head and
looked around the large bathroom. “Scurgefy” Ginny said cleaning
the room. Ginny turned to the shower
scrunching her nose. “Reparo,” Ginny said and watched as the
shower fixed it self. Ginny pulled off her
shirt then looked in the mirror turning in a circle. She pulled
her underwear off turned to the shower
turning the knob then screaming and jumping away from the water
as it spilled from the faucet in a dark
brown. “Ginny turned off the water then screamed again. Ginny
looked over at the dirty bath and pointed
her wand at it “Scurgfy, reparo!” She yelled then stepped into it
then made it rain from the ceiling so she
could wash her hair. Ginny stepped out of the shower removing the
spell from the ceiling and grabbing a
towel from the small pile she had set in the bathroom last night
after pulling them from the beaded bag. Ginny dried her hair
glaring at her shower as she passed it. Then walked into her room
grabbing her outfit she had chosen from the bed.
She was happy that she had minimized one of the king size
beds from her Auntie Meriales house and put it in the beaded bag.
She also looked at the piles of clothes that she had to buy so
she had muggle clothes to wear. Ginny pulled on a baby blue thong
and then a pair of jeans that she had charmed to fit her
perfectly. Ginny looked at the matching bra for a minute then
clasped it closed over her breasts. Ginny pulled on a Baby blue,
short sleeve button up that was nearly see through. She gathered
two roles of parchment she had set on her bed glancing down at
her grocery list. “Pig,” Ginny said happily greeting her brothers
owl. “Here pig I need you to take this next doors and leave it on
the door step don’t let him see you,” Ginny said giving the owl a
treat. The owl bounced around on the table for a moment then took
the letter from Ginny and flew out the window. Ginny looked back
down at her grocery list trying to remember if she needed
anything else. Her list was very long she wanted to stock up.
Meanwhile Draco walked back in his house then heard a
weird thump and he opened his door to find a letter that simply
said Drake on it. It read,
Good morning Drake,
I’m off to the store to get supplies, I will be back
shortly so we can get started. Thank you for your help. When I’m
out ill pick up ingredients for the dinner lesson tonight.
Yours, Ginny
Draco walked back in to his house grabbing his wallet and
pouring an extra cup of coffee. He walked out of his house
muttering a spell and then walked over to Ginny’s. He approached
her front patio as she had her back to him locking the door. He
took the moment to take her lovely appearance in. He studied her
ass then followed her back up to her long strawberry blond hair.
She’s a muggle you idiot his brain yelled. Draco shock it off
then stepped up to the bottom of the stairs. “So how are you
getting to the store?” Draco asked. Ginny jumped spinning around,
hiding her wand behind her back. “Drake, good morning,” Ginny
said hastily pushing her wand into her oversized purse.
“You weren’t about to walk where you?” Drake asked
stepping forward. “Well I hadn’t got that far yet,” Ginny said
realizing she couldn’t apparate with out giving her self
away. “Here you go nice warm coffee,” Draco said handing Ginny a
coffee. Ginny smiled appreciating the coffee very much. “Well why
don’t we take my truck,” Draco asked. “You have a truck?” Ginny
asked amazed that Draco of all people had a muggle car. “Yes,”
Draco said finding it normal for someone to ask why he had a
truck. Ginny looked uneasy at the truck as they approached it.
Draco opened the passenger door for her and Ginny smiled letting
him help her in. Ginny downed her hot beverage quickly as Draco
walked around to the other side of the truck. Ginny fastened what
she thought of as a muggle trapper (seat belt). “So how is your
new house?” Draco asked. Ginny calmed a little at the sound of
his voice. She turned and looked at Draco concentrating on him
and his voice. “It’s ok except the water is fucking brown,” Ginny
said. Draco smirked then shock his head. “You need to run all the
faucets for a while the pipes are old,” Draco explained. “Oh,”
Ginny said thinking about how simple that sounded. “That’s why
you have me around for that kind of stuff its what I will do so
you’ll teach me to cook,” Draco said.
Ginny pulled her list from her pocket and looked at it then
decided reading in a truck was a bad idea. Ginny looked back up
at Draco who was watching the road as he drove. The shopping
didn’t take very long Draco knew how to get around the town well
Draco was lifting a large case of canned goods in the car as
Ginny watched. “Gineveria, are you happy with your hair?” Mila
asked walking up next to Ginny. Ginny spun and looked at Mila,
why hadn’t she asked the lady not to talk to her about her hair,
she wondered. “Hi there,” Mila said eyeing Draco. “Mila,” Mila
said putting her hand out to Draco. Ginny wanted to slap the girl
for looking at Draco like he was a piece of meat. Ginny hold it
together she told her self. “Nice to meet you Drake Oliver,”
Draco said. “Oh Mr. Oliver my brother said you moved into one of
the Kestiline houses,” Mila said. “Your brother?” Draco
asked. “Yes Gregory Goldsmith,” Mila said. “Prick,” Ginny said
turning toward the passenger door. Mila looked put off then
remembered he brother tell her about a Ms. Malfoy that had been
high and mighty at the office. “Are you Ms. Mal…” Mila began to
ask. “She lives’ in Kestiline with me, and we must be going it
was a pleasure to meet you,” Draco said opening the door for
Ginny. Ginny got in her face pail, Draco looked concerned but
shut the door . Mila had almost told Draco that she was
pretending to be a Malfoy.
“That guy Goldsmith give you trouble?” Draco asked. “Yeah
he was an ass,” Ginny said. Draco nodded in agreement and drove
back to Kestiline. “You know the way you said that I lived in
Kestiline made Mila think that we live together she looked a
little upset,” Ginny teased. Draco sneered and Ginny giggled.
Draco looked over at her then smiled. “You’re the only person I
know that could giggle at my sneer,” Draco said. “I’m not scared
of you,” Ginny said. Draco smiled happy that she wasn’t like all
the girls in the wizarding world. “I think Mila likes you more
then me,” Draco said. Ginny shrugged she didn’t know what Mila
liked. They pulled up in front of Ginny’s and Draco stared at the
house oddly. “What’s wrong Drake?” Ginny asked. “Someone has been
here,” Draco said. Ginny looked around looking over at Draco who
drew his wand. “Homenum Revelio,” Ginny whispered. “There is
someone up stairs,” Ginny said pulling out her wand. Draco
stepped to the house, Ginny followed. “Wait here Ginny,” Draco
said. “Shut up Draco,” Ginny said then pailed at the sound of his
name leave her lips. Draco spun around to look at her but then a
load crash came from upstairs. Ginny took Draco’s free hand and
he stopped. “Drake I have to tell you something,” Ginny
said. “Ginny there is someone in your house,” Draco said. “Ah
Ms. Malfoy, sorry had to check something’s inside didn’t mean to
startle you,” Gregory said walking out of the house. Draco
clutched Ginny’s hand “You pompus bastard,” Draco yelled. “You do
not enter a home with out permission how did you get in?” Draco
asked angrily. Worried Ginny could have been in the house. “I
have a key,” Gregory said. “Accio key,” Draco yelled. “Mulfideo,”
Ginny yelled modifying Gregory’s memory then pushing Draco’s wand
down. “You’re a witch?” Draco asked in shock. Ginny felt the
tears pour from her eyes that was it she had a friend for a day,
and she had feelings for Draco she must be going nutters. “Now
you hate me again, I couldn’t tell you Draco I’m sorry,” Ginny
bawled and ran into her house and up the stairs.
Draco stood baffled, he didn’t care if she was a witch in
fact it made things easier, but what had she meant by hate her
again? He wondered then opened the truck to start unloading it.
