Disclaimer:
I do not own Harry Potter, nor any of the characters from the books or movies. I do not make any money from the writing of this story.
And it gets worse
Thank you so much for the reviews, they are loved. I do, however, have a small complaint about one review I received. If you are going to tell me that there are loopholes in my story, please point them out. I can’t do anything about it if I don’t know what they are.
Now, on to the nicer bits. The story.
**********
Harry had promptly fainted when Draco had said Percy. Lucius gently picked him up and moved him to his own room, laying Harry upon the bed as if he were a piece of glass that would shatter if handled too roughly. He seated himself in one of his armchairs and waited for the younger wizard to wake.
Lucius lost himself in thought as he stared at the raven haired man lying on his silk sheeted bed. Not even Narcissa had been permitted to grace his bed, but Lucius had placed Harry upon it as if he belonged there. How could he keep this a secret much longer? Harry was his mate, his true love, the other half of his soul.
The young man had been in his house for a good three weeks, maybe a little longer. He had known Harry was his mate since the demise of the Dark Lord, but Lucius had refrained from acting upon it. Over the years, he had convinced himself of many different reasons as to why he refrained from claiming his mate. At first, it was that he was too young, then it was Harry’s love for and marriage to Ginny, and then it was his children, that he couldn’t condone breaking up a happy home for his own selfish purposes. But now?
Lucius racked his brains for a reason as to why he wasn’t claiming Harry. Neither of them had a spouse to deceive. They both had children, granted his were Harry’s age but that didn’t alter the fact that they both had obligations, responsibilities.
The children of Harry Potter could be one reason why he didn’t want to act. They were young and they needed time to heal and they needed their father right now. But that wasn’t what was holding Lucius back.
“So what is it that’s holding you back papa?”
He turned to see Andie standing in his doorway. He smiled. His children only called him papa in private. They wouldn’t even do it in front of intimate guests. As far as he could remember, Draco had never even called him that in front of his mother.
“It’s not fair to delve into my mind,” he said as she covered Harry over with a blanket as a breeze blew in though the open door.
“Well, you’re not exactly going to open up. As I remember, you didn’t tell mama you loved her in front of me until I was six years old. And you rarely say it to me or Draco. We know how you feel but you’re not very vocal. Harry doesn’t know how you feel. You have to tell him.”
“I can’t do that,” Lucius said quietly, not meeting his daughters eyes.
She walked to him and knelt down in front of him. Lucius was reminded of when he visited her when she was a little girl. She used to sit at his feet and babble away to him while making things grow around her.
“Why not? Why can’t you tell him? What’s holding you back? You love him, me and Draco can both see it.”
“What if he doesn’t want me?” Lucius whispered, and Andie was shocked to find tears in her fathers eyes.
“And why wouldn’t I?”
They both looked up to see Harry looking at them confusedly. Andie stood and walked to the door. “I’m going to go and check on your young, Harry.”
She walked out of the room and Lucius looked at Harry apprehensively. “Just how much of that conversation have you heard?”
“Since she covered me over. You love me?”
“When a Veela finds their mate, it is different to when other creatures find their mate. A Veela’s mate is their true love, their match in every way. Yes, Harry, I love you. But how could you feel the same about me. I tried to kill you, several times.”
Harry laughed and the sound went straight to Lucius’ groin. “Yes, you did, but to be fair, I did retaliate in the same manner.” Harry sighed as Lucius smiled. “We had a rocky beginning, I realise that, but that doesn’t mean that things can’t happen.”
Lucius looked at him in shock. “Are you saying….”
“I don’t know,” Harry interrupted. “I feel something for you. But love? I don’t know about that. I thought I loved Ginny and look how well that turned out. But what ever it is that I feel for you, it’s strong. And it’s growing, day by day. Just answer me one thing.”
“Anything. Only one?”
Harry laughed again, Lucius feeling slightly restricted in his trousers and thankful for his robes that hid the result of Harry’s laugh. “Sure you want them all?” Lucius nodded. “Well, how do your children feel about this? I assume they know?”
“They do, and they have known for quite some time. They are at ease with it.”
“How long have you known I was the one?”
“Since you defeated the Dark Lord,” Lucius admitted, looking away from Harry.
Harry rose from the bed and walked over to Lucius, seating himself on the armchair opposite him and leaning forwards. “Nineteen years? You’ve known that I’m your mate for nineteen years and you said nothing? Were you really that scared I would reject you?”
Lucius nodded and Harry felt his heart expand. “You put me and my possible feelings before your own happiness?” Lucius nodded again. All the time they had been talking, Lucius had refused to look at Harry. Harry smiled and curled his hand around Lucius’ cheek. Lucius looked up at him in shock. “Thank you. No one has ever cared like that.”
Lucius looked stunned. “Umm, you’re welcome?” Harry chuckled. He slipped his hand down to the back of Lucius’ neck and pulled him in until their lips were touching. Lucius was so nervous he nearly passed out. His mate was kissing him! Harry was kissing him!! Lucius was being kissed by Harry!! Lucius’ inner Veela reared it’s head and forced Lucius’ consciousness into submission. Animal instinct took over and Harry found Lucius returning the kiss.
Harry had wanted to do this for so very long. He had harboured a crush on the older man for years, ever since he had witnessed Lucius in the park with toddler Scorpius. It seriously didn’t matter to Harry that Lucius’ children were his age, or that the man was a grandfather. All that mattered to Harry was Lucius’ tongue gently licking his lower lip. Harry opened his mouth and he felt more than heard Lucius moan, Lucius’ tongue snaking into his mouth and duelling with his. They stayed like that, Harry’s hands entangled in Lucius’ hair, Lucius’ hands on his thighs. Finally the need for air overtook them, and they sat still holding onto each other, breathing deeply, slowly taking small unhurried kisses.
They were interrupted when a small scream echoed down the hallways of the manor.
***************
Lucius and Harry ran into the greenhouse to find Andie pinned to the wall by the throat by a very pissed looking Ginny. Andie’s beautiful exotic blooms were shredded on the floor. Ginny held a knife to Andie’s throat, small droplets of blood spilling down onto Andie’s blouse. Harry barely had time to register that Andie’s blood was green instead of red, before Ginny started speaking.
“Did you really think that was it Harry? That I’d just let you take them, let you leave me and that would be the end of it? My my Harry, I thought you were smarter than that,” She said, eerily calm, her eyes fixed on the half elf in front of her.
“Ginny, why don’t we just talk about this, huh? We can talk about this calmly, just let her go,” Harry said, inching closer to Andie.
“You can’t fix this!! You can’t make it all better with a few nice words!! You don’t love me!!”
“No, I don’t, but you’re still part of my family. We have children together Ginny! Imagine how they will feel if their mother ends up in Azkaban for murder. Come on Ginny, don’t be stupid, just let her go.”
“No!! She’s taking you from me! You’ve left me for her, I know it!”
Andie laughed in spite of herself and the present threat to her life. “He didn’t leave you for anyone, he left because you fucked someone else! And trust me, me and Harry are nothing more than friends,” Andie said.
“Daddy?”
Lucius spun round to find Harry’s three children standing with his grandson in the doorway. “Scorpius, take them upstairs please?”
Lucius said. Scorpius nodded but the three children refused to budge.
“Mummy, what are you doing to Andie? She’s nice mummy, she took care of us, she took away what the bad man did,” Lily stated with the simple logic of a ten year old.
“Mum, dad didn’t leave you for Andie, he left you because you hurt him,” James said.
“Dad, is she going to hurt Andie? I don’t want mum to hurt Andie, she’s nice and she’s kind and she stopped it hurting. Please don’t let mum hurt Andie,” Albus said to his father.
Draco looked at the children from where he was pinned by a Petrificus Totalus. He hoped the words of her children would get to Ginny.
And Draco was right. Ginny stepped away from Andie, and stood looking at her children while she spoke to Harry. “She’s not only got you, she’s now got my children as well,” Ginny said quietly.
“She stopped pain, you inflicted it. They like her, that’s all. You’re not being replaced Gin. Just, lets talk about this, yeah?” Harry said.
She dropped the knife and looked up at Harry, then at her children, whispering “Goodbye” before turning her wand on herself, screaming Avada Kedavra.
Lucius spun round and gathered the four children to him as her body hit the floor. He looked over his shoulder at Harry. His face was an ashen colour, all the blood drained from him. “Harry, love? We need to do things,” Lucius said softly. Harry looked up at him and Lucius died inside to see the spark missing from those emerald orbs. Harry nodded and raised his wand, Lucius’ heart jumping to his throat until he realised Harry was releasing Draco from the spell.
Draco shook his limbs, patted Harry consolingly on the back and walked to his father, hoisting his son in his arms and carrying him off to the kitchen. Andie got slowly to her feet from where Ginny had dropped her, walked to Harry and pulled him into a hug. “Stay here with my father, I’ll take them to the kitchen. Stay and deal with this, they’ll be ok with me,” she whispered and Harry nodded mutely.
Andie walked to her father and knelt down to the children. “This wasn’t your fault little ones, this was no ones fault. It was just a bad thing that happened. Now, your dad needs to stay here and take care of some things. Will you come with me?”
Lily and Albus nodded, but James had his eyes fixed on his father. “What about dad? Who’s going to stay with him?” he said worriedly.
Harry looked at his son. “Lucius is going to stay here with me, go with Andie now, and I’ll come and find you when I’m done. Ok? Maybe we can call your nana and grandpa to come see you. How bout that?”
The three children nodded and gave their father a hug each before letting Andie lead them away. Lucius caught Harry as he collapsed. He held Harry on the dirt covered greenhouse floor as he cried.
“How could she have done this Luce? How could she have done this to our children after all she’s already done to them? My children just watched their mother die! How do I begin to fix this?” Harry sobbed into Lucius’ silk shirt.
Lucius rocked Harry as he cried, running his fingers along the raven tresses of his mate. After five minutes, Harry’s sobs turned into whimpers. Lucius pulled Harry’s head up to his and kissed him gently, letting him know that he was there. They parted and Harry sat there, looking at Ginny’s body. Her eyes were still open, staring at him.
“Harry, did you know that Andie watched her mother die?” Lucius said.
“What? She never told me, she just said her mother died,” Harry said, shocked.
“She watched Narcissa torture her for hours, and then she watched as Narcissa took her mother apart, piece by piece. Andie still has nightmares about it.”
“I never would have guessed.”
Lucius smiled slightly. “Children are resilient Harry. I remained faithful in my love for my daughter. She fed off of that love. It helped her heal. And your children will too. They need love, they need comfort and they need their father to help them deal with this. Don’t treat them differently, they need stability. You still need to punish them in the same way you did before. Be consistent and they will slowly learn the new way their lives will be from now on.”
“Did you do that with Andie?”
“Yes. A few weeks after her mother died, Andie tried to hex me. She was testing me. She made my hair go green and have ivy trailing through it.”
Harry giggled in spite of the topic of conversation. “What did you do?”
“I had another elf change it back and then sent Andie to bed at four in the afternoon. She came to me an hour later, crying. She had fallen asleep and dreamt of what befell Dreyla. I held her and reassured her. It took a while but Andie soon realised that she was not the only one who had to live without their mother, and nothing would change.”
Harry sighed and looked at Ginny’s body. Lucius stood and pulled him to his feet. He walked to the living room and floo called the Weasley house.
Molly and Arthur arrived in minutes, along with all of their children, children in law and grandchildren, minus Charlie. Percy offered condolences to Harry before asking after Draco. He went off in search of him, and the younger members of the family went off in search of Harry’s children.
Molly and Arthur floo called their family healer, who sent over a mortician to collect the body.
“Would you mind arranging the funeral? I have to take care of my children right now,” Harry asked as the mortician levitated the body to his Muggle truck.
“Of course, of course. Whatever you need Harry, just ask,” Arthur said, subduedly.
Andie walked into the room and George nearly fainted, Bill catching him just in time. Teddy smiled, as did most of the Weasley’s, despite the reason they were all here.
She walked to Harry and he pulled her into a hug. They pulled away and she nodded in greeting to the Weasley’s. “Lily, James and Albus are being amused by a whole bunch of red head children. I lost track of the names but I’m sure they’re related somehow,” she said jokingly. The people in the room smiled. She gazed at the greenhouse. “My poor plants,” she said sadly.
The Weasley’s jaws all dropped and Lucius stepped in, he could see outrage beginning. “Andie is half elf, those plants were a part of her, like her children, and your daughter just killed them all.”
Andie shrugged and left the room, not wanting to start any more rows. She had witnessed enough in her life between her father and Uncle. George slipped away in the commotion from the Weasley’s arguing with Harry and Lucius. He watched as Andie slumped down in the library, crying as though the world was ending.
He walked in and pulled her into his arms and was amazed to find that she fitted perfectly. No woman or man ever had. She pulled back and looked at him. “It’s you. You’re the one,” she whispered, before his lips descended on hers and she gave up to his dominance.

Well, here you go, another chapter. Thank you for the reviews, they are loved.
Thanks this time go to:
BRM, Jan, vider le demarreur, Tina109, Dragonqueen, kiwigirl, nakai3, Morgaine Malfoy, and kcgx23.
kiwigirl : I thought so too, can’t be too mean to mama Weasley. Remember that Charlie was on Ginny’s side.
Jan : I am amazed at how much close attention you pay to the details. Thank you so much. Now, Firstly, Lucius is confused that Harry is his mate. I think I answered this in the chapter. I tried to make it detailed for you. Anything else you want to know feel free to ask.
Secondly, I have just given Andie a mate, hope you like my choice.
Thirdly, it was originally going to be Blaize but I just couldn’t resist giving him a Weasley. *evil giggle*
Now, opinions on how Lucius will react to both his children being mated to Weasley’s? Please let me know what you would like to see, it feeds the muse.
I killed off Ginny for you all, but I couldn’t bring myself to have Harry, Draco, Lucius or Andie do it. And the kids were originally going to walk in on Harry and Lucius’ first kiss, but I couldn’t do that to Harry. I know they shouldn’t have seen it but it just evolved that way.
Please review some more, I so want to know what you think.
Cookie to the one who guesses what happens with Andie and George next.
Now, on to the nicer bits. The story.
