Session 7
Dragon and Savior
Session 7
“Harry, my boy! It’s been almost a month! How are you? Catch me up!”
“Albert, life is bloody fantastic! You were so right! He DOES still care about me! He even…he even admitted he was in love with me! He cried when I told him that I knew…and you were right about him. It hurt him to see me in pain…and Snape gave him a long lecture about not succumbing to his ‘teenage hormone-driven psychotic lusts that were unbecoming a Malfoy heir’. Stupid fucking traitor…that’s why Draco was so distant…he was trying to do what his goddamn godfather said. But guess what, Albert? He got rid of the other horses! He didn’t realize that he had been keeping them around…it’s a symbol! We can finally let go of the past and move on! And that’s not even the best part…he kept Dragon, of course, but he bought a new horse!”
“That’s brilliant, Harry! What’s the new one like?”
“Light chestnut brown…it’s funny cuz his skin is a few shades tanner than me! He’s got a jet-black mane and tail. He’s high-spirited and really fast, too! But he calms right down with Dragon! Dragon’s so steady and calm…bloody fast if I ask him to gallop, of course…but the two of them are a perfect match!”
“The two horses, huh? I couldn’t be happier for you, Harry. What’s his name?”
“We’re going riding right now! I just wanted to drop by and thank you for helping me…you’re a good man…just like your dad. And I wanted to say good bye, since I don’t think I’ll be coming back anymore. Wait, what did you ask me?”
“What’s Draco’s new horse’s name?”
“Savior…”

Author's note: Okay, there it is! That's all of it! Obviously you don't have to review it if you don't want to, but I am definitely interested in what you think of it! I didn't want to say this at the beginning (and give it all away) but the plot of Equus is the disturbed stable boy mysteriously blinds six horses one night, and the play itself is about the psychologist trying to figure out what happened and why he did it. It's very dark and strange. Well, it was strange to read it, so I will let you know how it was with the acting! And with Daniel Radcliffe! *drool*
Anyway, if you have questions/comments/etc, I'd love to know! I tried to include several subtleties, so if any of them were TOO subtle (ie didn't make sense or too confusing) let me know! Thanks for reading!
