The Day After the Night Before
Hey All welcome to my first ever Fan Fiction, most of the characters are not mine no matter how much I would love them to be. The only character that is mine is Aphrodite Taylor, she is mine all mine, he he. Hope you enjoy.
Severus paced up and down in her room, he couldn\'t finish off his sentence, was too hard for him to do, Aphrodite sat on her bed eyeing him suspiciously. He didn\'t appear to be himself, something wasn\'t quite right.
\"Severus, are you ok? You don\'t seem to be your normal self\"
\"...Im fine..\"
\"You sure? cause if your not I..\"
\"God dammit, I said Im fine\"
Aphrodite decided it would be best to stop speaking, Severus started to pick up his pace a bit and carried on walking backwards and forwards. Aphrodite stood up and put her arm on his shoulder, he turned round and pulled her closer to him, she leaned her head on his shoulder and cuddled him.
\"What was it you wanted to tell me?\" she asked, Severus froze and hesitated
\"Umm..just wanted to thank you for getting me to ask Sinistra to the ball\"
The more he held her in his arms the harder it got, he wanted to tell her that he really liked her and that he had feelings for her, but he didn\'t want to take rejectment so the obvious thing was to reject her before she got chance, he looked at her and pushed her down onto her chair.
\"I can\'t do this any more\" he said quietly
\"Eh? You what?\"
\"Leave me alone!\" he snapped and then he stormed out the room slamming the door behind him. Aphrodite was a little shocked, she wasn\'t expecting that but she was too tired to think more about it and went to bed.
Next day she awoke with a banging head ache but was rather hungry \'thank god its saturday\' she thought as she got dressed and made her way to the great hall. Severus was there, so were Remus and Sirius, few other members of staff were there also. Aphrodite went to sit in-between Remus and Severus, she walked past Sirius and messed up his hair, all three of the men looked hung over, was a pretty funny sight. Severus didn\'t look up, neither did Remus, but Aphroditoddeodded Remus and asked if he was ok, to which he said yeah he was fine just had a headache. Conversation was very rare that morning and Aphrodite felt out of place for the first time since arriving at Hogwarts. She got up to leave but Remus stopped her.
\"Aphrodite..can we talk later?\"
\"Yeah course we can\" she smiled at him and walked off. Great she thought, one of my good friends and I manage to drive him away by kissing him, she felt rather low and sat in her room for a few hours before deciding that the talk with Remus could no longer wait, so she set off for his and Sirius\'s room. When she got there she knocked three times and it was Sirius that answered.
\"Hey Sugar Plum! what can I do ya for?\" he said grinning
\"Is Remus in?\" she asked, looking slightly nervous
\"Nah you missed him, he went outside for a walk, what happened between you two last night? He came home in a weird mood.\"
\"Nothing happened\" she smiled even though she didn\'t feel like it and then she bid Sirius goodbye and went off in search of Remus. When she found him he was sitting under the oak tree just as they had done last night. She stared at him for a few minutes and watched him throw stones into the lake, then she walked over and sat next to him.
\"So...\"
\"So?\" he looked puzzled
\"What\'s eating you? you seemed off with me at breakfast and then you said we needed to talk\"
he he explained how he didn\'t mean to kiss her last night and that he didn\'t want to ruin their friendship, she started laughing at him because she only kissed him as she was drunk.
\"Just as well Severus came and stopped us\" she laughed
don don\'t want to loose you as a friend...ever\" he said as he looked at her
She pulled him close to her and put her hands through his hair, telling him not to be daft as he\'d never loose her.
\"Ha the jokes on you Remus, Im around forever, you couldn\'t get rid of me even if you tried\" she said grinning.
Meanwhile in his back in his room Severus was pacing up and down in his room, how could he have been so stupid? Did he really expect Aphrodite to feel the same way? \'I wanted to thank you for getting me to ask Sinistra to the ball\' he thought about what he had said to her and cringed. All these thoughts kept replaying in his mind, they were driving him crazy
A/N Well Severus\'s plan to tell Aphrodite how he felt didn\'t quite go to plan did it?
