Surprises
A/N: Not one of my favorite chapters, but I hope you all enjoy
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Hermione stared in shock at the healer who had just finished the exam. “What do you mean I am having twins? That can not possibly be true.”
“I am sorry Miss Granger but this test is one hundred percent accurate. You are pregnant with identical twin girls.” The healer watched concerned as Hermione dropped her head down hard on the table. “Is there anyone you want me to owl or Floo for you?”
“No thank you I think I will go wallow in self pity for a little while.” Hermione left St. Mungos a short while later and headed back to her apartment she knew that she had to go see her parents to make sure that they are ok, but she just couldn’t bring herself to see anyone right now. She flopped down on her bed and all of a sudden she got an image of her playing with two black haired little girls and she smiled. “Everything will be ok, these two babies and I will be wonderful and happy.” Deciding that it wasn’t the end of the world Hermione got up and used the Floo to go to her parent’s house. The first thing she saw was her mom sitting on the couch and staring off in space. When Hermione entered the house her mum looked up and a tentative smile formed on her face.
“Hi Darling, how are you doing?”
“Actually mum I am doing very well. I came by today to see how you were doing, and to apologize for acting like a selfish brat.”
“No Hermione you had every right to act that way. We kept a huge secret from you and we wouldn’t have been surprised if you never spoke to us again.”
Hermione sat down next to her mum and gave her a hug. “You and daddy raised me, you will always be my parents and I love you both very much. I wanted to let you know that I want to meet my other family. I have all these siblings and two other parents; I was stolen from them I feel that they at least have the right to know me.”
“I agree with you Hermione and your father and I understand. We will not hold you back from them, but please don’t forget about us.”
Hermione smiled “I will never forget about you, and I even have some news for you that I haven’t told anyone else yet. You and daddy are going to be grandparents, I am pregnant with twins.”
Her mom looked stunned then ecstatic “You’re really pregnant with twins.”
“Yep, twin girls. Just don’t ask about their father yet. Things are still way up in the air about that.” Mother and daughter talked for hours and Hermione said she needed to get going. After she left her parents home she decided to go see Jacob who was quickly becoming a good friend.

Knocking on Jacobs’s door Hermione stood there waiting. She knew he was home because she could hear noise on the other side of the door, when he finally opened the door Hermione saw him wearing only a towel and he looked angry. His anger receded a little when he saw that it was Hermione standing there, but he was still a little annoyed.
“Hermione Love can’t you see I am busy.”
“Well since I can’t see through doors I did not know that you were busy. I will just come back later.”
“No, come on in just let me get dressed.” Hermione walked into Jacobs’s apartment and looked around in approval he had books everywhere and anyone who had that many books was good in Hermione’s opinion. Hearing a noise behind her, she turned and the book she had in her had slipped out and hit the floor.
“Luna.” Hermione gasped she shook her head not believing her eyes.
“Oh Hermione hello, you know Jacob also.” Luna asked dreamily
“Yeah, he is my brother. How do you know him?” Luna didn’t have time to answer because Jacob had come back into the room.
“Oh do you two know each other?”
“Yeah Luna was at Hogwarts with me. She was a year below us.”
“Well isn’t that a coincidence. Luna and I are dating have been for a while. So Hermione any reason you came here to day?”
“Yeah, I want to meet the rest of the family.” Hermione responded with a nervous smile.
A grin formed on her brothers face “Really, are you sure?”
“I’m sure, just a little nervous.”
“Don’t worry I will be with you the whole time and besides the family is great. When did you want to go?”
“As soon as possible, I want to get the first meeting over with.”
Jacob nodded. “I understand we will leave right now.” He leaned down to give Luna a kiss and told her she could stay if she wants and that’s he would be back as soon as possible. The two of them apparated to just outside the Williams home and Hermione pushed a hand against her nervous stomach trying to fight the urge to throw up. “Calm down Hermione you are going to seriously injure my hand in a minute. Everything will be ok I promise.”
“Jacob I can’t help it if I am nervous and terrified. These are people I have never met or at least don’t remember.”
Jacob ran a comforting hand down her back and opened the door to his parent’s home. “Mum, dad are you here?” He called.
“Jacob is that you?” A voice called from a back room.
“Yeah mum it’s me and I brought Hermione with me.”
Hermione heard a gasp and then a small crash come from the direction of the back room and then quick foot steps heading in their direction. When Julia Williams came into the room Hermione was a little shocked at how much she really did look like this woman. Tears formed in the woman’s eyes when she saw her long lost daughter and she moved closer to her with out actually touching her.
“Jacob tells me you go by Hermione.” When Hermione nodded Julia continued talking. “Let’s sit down and talk some.” Hermione sat down with her and they talked and talked for what seemed like hours. Hermione discovered that this was where she got all of her love for books and magical talents. She discovered that she really liked this family and was glad that she had the opportunity to get to know them.
A/N: lol this chapter is dedicated to my husband who said he only wanted one more baby to give us three kids (I wanted four kids so we needed to have two more) Then I found out today April 15th that we have twins on the way. So I couldn’t resist giving Hermione and Snape twins.
