Chapter 4
Ginny was freaking out what was she supposed to do there was nothing to stop him from getting to her.
Wait Ginny thought, I'm a witch Daa Ginny turned toward the stairs running down them quickly.
There was a knock at the door.
Ginny crossed her fingers hoping he wouldn’t recognize her she looked down at her muggle outfit then
clenched her wand behind her back and grinned her teeth together.
"Who is it?" Ginny asked trying to get the fear from her voice.
"It's Drake Oliver your new neighbor," Draco said from out side the door. Drake? Ginny thought reaching
for the knob carefully. Could I have been wrong about who I saw? she thought to her self then pulled the
door open. Draco stood in front of her smiling warmly Ginny was taken aback for a moment Draco could
smile? she wondered. Draco laughed a little holding out a plate of cookies for Ginny. "Welcome to
Kestiline," Draco said.
"Th…thank you, oh I’m sorry my name is Ginevira Mal.." Ginny paused. Still staring at Draco. "Do I
know you?" she asked trying to hide her slip up about her new last name. Draco looked at her carefully the
shock his head, "I think I would remember such a pretty face," He said sweetly. Ginny blushed then cursed
at her self. it was Draco's turn to look taken aback. "I'm sorry..." Draco began to say.
“No its ok,” Ginny said with an apologetic smile. Why was she acting like such a school girl.
Draco smiled back then held out the plate of cookies “these are for you,” Draco said. Ginny reached out
and took to the plate her stomach letting out a load growl. Ginny blushed, “Thanks,” She said blushing in
embarrassment. “Well I guess it’s a good thing I brought cookies over,” Draco teased with a grin. “Oh
how rude of me come in,” Ginny said stepping back into the house. What am I doing? Ginny thought
furiously. Draco stepped in and looked around “Wow even more work then mine needed,” Draco said.
“Yes it seems like it will take a bit of work,” Ginny said walking toward where she believed the kitchen
was at. Draco followed looking around the broken and what looked ripped apart kitchen. “You need any
help, I’m quite handy,” Draco said smiling. Ginny turned a little stunned that Draco was offering to help
her. Then she remembered that he didn’t know who she was.
“You serious?” Ginny asked still looking shocked. Draco grinned “Course,” Draco said.
“How much?” Ginny asked suspiciously. “As much help as you need,” Draco said.
“No I mean how much in return,” Ginny asked. Draco laughed “Well I must admit that my house el…
maid cooked those and she isn’t sticking around so I need to learn how to cook, I was hoping you could
help teach me how,” Draco asked. Ginny smiled very amused that Draco had almost said house elf. He
would have a house elf still wouldn’t he, Ginny thought. “You know I’m getting the better end of the
deal,” Ginny said. Draco smirked “I donno about that,” Draco said. Ginny saw his hand twitch as if he
was ready to pull out his wand and fix everything right now.
“Well I guess we must fix the kitchen up first,” Ginny said.
Draco smiled happy that this strange girl had agreed quickly. “I suppose we should start tomorrow?”
Draco asked glancing out the dirty windows to the darkening sky. Ginny nodded nibbling on one of the
cookies that Draco had givin her.
Draco smiled admiring her beauty then shock his head a little. The women had captured his attention the
moment he had seen her.
**Flash Back**
A muggle car drove down the dirt and as it slowly passed his house he saw a very beautiful women with a
pail face. Then when he had gotten over to Ginny’s with the cookies her smell of cinnamon and
chamomile
seemed to invade his senses making it impossible not to smile. Which to a Malfoy was a big deal. Oliver
he
reminded him self my name is Drake Oliver. This women was strange but what muggles weren’t?
**End of flash Back**
“Mr. Oliver are you ok?” Ginny asked. Draco snapped his head up then smiled a little embarrassed .
“Yeah sorry I was thinking, please call me Drake,” Draco said.
A load crack came from the backyard and Ginny jumped turning toward the back door. Draco pulled his
wand from his sleeve spinning toward the door. Ginny pretended not to notice then unlocked the back
door and opened it looking
out. Draco stepped out onto the large back porch staring into the dark. Ginny click the deluminator
behind her back as she pushed Drake out onto the porch a little making him look down at his footing.
Lights turned on around the porch and Draco smiled then noticing his wand was drawn paused.
Wondering how to explain why he had what would look to her like a twig in his hand.
A load thud and a squeak of pain came from near a tree toward his house. Draco sneered then turned to
Ginny but she was looking at the trees in the opposite direction. Ginny knew that there was a house elf to
her right, but it wasn’t a threat.
Ginny set her hand on the hand rail and a loud crack and she began to fall forward. Draco jumped forward
and grabbed her around the waist and pulled her gently back against him. “Are you ok?” he asked holding
her to him. He felt him self grow excited at the close proximity to her and pulled away making
sure she didn’t fall over. Ginny dusted her hand off and nodded. “yeah thanks good reflex’s you got
there,” Ginny complemented. “Played Qui… um quite a lot of sports,” Draco said catching his mistake
before he said quiditch out loud. Ginny grinned knowing what he had almost said and trying to push the
thoughts about how nice it had felt to be in his embrace.
“Well I guess your house maid wants you to come home,” Ginny said slyly glancing over toward where
she was pretty sure the house elf stood hiding. Draco glanced over but didn’t see his elf, then looked at
Ginny curiously had she seen something? He wondered. “It was nice to meet you Drake,” Ginny said with
a smile and put out her hand out to him. Draco smiled back “It was nice to meet you to Ms, or is it Mrs?”
Draco asked. Ginny couldn’t believe her ears for a moment Draco was flirting with her. Then she
remembered that she wasn’t the littlest weasel to him any more. “Ms. But you can call me Gineveria or
Ginny,” Ginny said wondering if he would figure out who she was. But Draco just smiled and took her
hand and kissed it lightly.
“Till tomorrow see you then,” Draco said then turned looking at the broken rail and jumped off the porch
landing in the grass softly then turned and waved. Ginny waved back watching Draco walk away, then
clicked the deluminator watching the lights go out. Ginny walked into the dark kitchen pulling out her
Wand Ginny looked at the cupboards and found an old empty jar she held the jar in one hand and put out
her wand then produced blue flames into the jar. She smiled at the flames sadly thinking of Hermione
then turned to her kitchen “Scurgafy,” Ginny said and the counters and floor sparkled in the fire light.
Ginny walked into the living room making sure the door was locked and then walked up the stairs the
blue light from the fire leading her way. Ginny clicked the deluminator setting the jar onto the floor. Ginny
walked over to the window and looked out shocked to see Draco standing just in side the tree’s with his
house elf with his wand out and pointed to the sky. Ginny watched the sparks go up then reached in her
pocket and pulling out an extendible ear from her pocket and sticking it to the window then stepping away
from the window so he wouldn’t see her. “Salvio hexia,” she heard Draco say. “Come Tipsy lets get back
home,” Draco said then she heard leaves crunching and she pulled the ear from the window. He set a
ward to protect her? She thought wildly wondering what would make him do such a thing for what he
thought was a muggle women.
