The First Encounter with Hatred.
These two weeks were the happiest days in the life of our Hermione Granger. She couldn't really decide what made her the happier. When her parents said, that Jeremy can stay with them on next summer too, when the boy brought her a hearth-shaped candy which was as big as a bus tire, when Harry's letter came with no less than 200 apologies on it, or when the dragon egg started to move. Her feelings (if it's possible) deepend for Jeremiah, though they never thought about they're in love. They said this is a really close friendship.
And now, the long waited 29th of July had come at last. Hermione made history: she popped out of her bed, and she made her shower in five minutes. She was so excited. Everything had to be perfect on this day. This was the Birthday of Jeremy. For her big suprise, when she saw him coming out of his room, he didn't even recall it.
"What birthday?" he asked confused. Than he finally remembered. "Oh yeah, really."
"Happy Birthday Jeremiah!" shouted Hermione, and she jumped on him, with her arms closing around his neck. As she leaned her head to his, Jeremy almost fainted because the fresh smell of her fuffy hair attacked him openly. Hermione enjoyed the hug for a little longer, then she let him go, but still held his white hand in hers, and she drove him downstairs to the kitchen. There, an enormous round chocolate-toffe cake was waiting for him, with the signature: Happy Birthday! And there were sixteen candles on it. Jeremy was stunned for a second.
"'Mione..." he started "Did you..."
"Yeah, I've made it myself." she blushed heavily. "Well, it didn't really as good as my mother used to make it, but I've done all I've could..." when she looked up, she saw one green and one blue eye staring at him, filled with the deepest emotions, both crying with tears of pure love.
"Hermione." he started in a crying voice. "This is the best birthday present, and to be honest..." he smashed a tear flowing from his eye "the first birthday present I've ever got in my life." he walked slowly to the girl, hugged her waist, touching her soft hips, carwing his eyes in hers, their foreheads touched. "And you..." he continued. "you're the most gorgeous, intelligent... fluffy haired witch I've ever known." Hermione giggled on the last characetistic. She wanted to say thank you. She wanted to say no, she isn't, or don't mention it. She wanted to. But she didn't. Since Jeremiah stuck his lips to hers, to connect in a never-ending, emotionfull, hot kiss. Hermione was first stunned, than, when he opened her teeth with his soft lips, and started to massage hers, she closed her eyes, enjoying greatly the new, unexpected, but passionate event.
Her rose lips were soft. So soft! He didn't really know why he did that. He felt, that he have to. Like a magnet, her lips attracted him so strongly... He waited for this moment for so long! Suddenly, Hermione heard moving from upstairs. She recalled, that it's Saturday. Her parents were home, here with us. But this time she didn't care much about them. She needed this moment. She never kissed a man before. There were rumors about her and Viktor Krum, but they weren't true. She weren't with Krum at all. This was the first time in her life. And she didn't have to force it. She didn't started it. She didn't kiss, she has been kissed. She felt his hands stroking her hair with his hands. He grabbed softly her head, and pressed it harder to his. Hermione heard her parents coming downstairs, but she didn't open her eyes. This moment was too important for her to stop. Soon the steps from the stairs stopped, she heard her mother whispering something, but then they turned and walked upstairs again. Hermione was moaning thankfully to her parents. They understood what this meant to her. And suddenly she felt her body to be weightless. She opened her eyes. Jeremy pulled his head a bit far, and he looked around. So did the girl. They were floating in mid-air, along with all of the kitchen belongings. Than, not like the first time, tey didn't fell, instead they landed softly on the floor.
"Wow" she said she couldn't really discribe the feelings inside her. Like a hurricane of bouncing flames, dancing in her hearth, which were waiting to explode, and now it did. As he smiled on her, and let her to put her head to his shoulder, as they hugged each-other. As they stayed there, jeremy's eyes suddenly flow to the cake.
"Hmmm nice smell." he said.
"Yeah". she replied.
"Do you think Charlie would like some cake?" Hermione looked at him confused. "Who's Charlie?"
"I thought if my dragon will be a male, I'll name him Charlie." The girl smiled, but she rised her head slowly. She looked at Jeremy.
"You smell it too?" he asked. They smelled a little scent of cinder and fire... A wide smile errupted on his face.
"It's hatching!" they both shouted, and ran upstairs. The boy nearly kicked the door in, and ran to the moving box. Hermione was right behind her. He opened it harshly, and he saw the hot egg moving insane. He didn't care about his own safety, he grabbet the egg, and ran to Hermione's room, with the girl behind him, shouting excited. But as she was in her place, she yelled scared. With one hand, Jeremy held the burning egg, with the other, he opened the window, and started to crawl up, on the roof. The girl was watching him struggle shocked for only few secs, than she ran to help him. With her help, Jeremy was able to held himself on the roof's shindle, and he moved inch-by-inch to the top. Hermione looked outside of her window as far as she could to watch him crawl. Her parents ran to her room, shouting scared. She didn't care about them. The boy could finally move to the top of the house, and he looked up. The Sun was at it's top on the sky. How long did we kiss? he thought, but only for a moment, because with a large cracking noise, the begg broke into half. Jeremiah saw his hands burned to the flesh, but he didn't care about it. His little blood-scarlet dragon rose from the egg, and flew to the sky. It was as big as the snowy owl, Hedwig. It flew two circles in the air, with its wide red wings, than it landed softly on the house's weathervane. Jeremiah learned about dragons a lot with Dumbledore. He almost immidiately saw the general features: emerald green eyes, two thick scales on it's chest at the shape of a cross, and it had four legs, plus two wings. This dragon was a boy.
"Hello Charlie." he said to his dragon. Charlie looked up, as if he already knew his name. Than he lowered his dark-red, horned head, and he take a big breath in, than he stored the air there a little, than he breath it out, but it was so cold now, that no snow can be. The frozen air lowered to Jeremy's burned hands, and it softly covered it. Few mnutes later, it disappeared, but he saw his hands healed competly.
"Thank you Charlie. Happy Birthday, boy." the dragon let out a little shriek, than he pushed its head to Jeremiah's. His skin was smooth, his scales thight and though, but not uncomfortable to touch. It was a little silky too. It's touch reminden him of Hermione. And then he heard her voice coming from her window.
"Jeremiah! What happend?" she sounded a bit scared.
"He's a boy!" he shouted. He could hear her disappointed sigh. "So he's Charlie than."
"Ok, you won!" she replied. "But come down now!"
"Can you please bring me down?" he asked his dragon. "I'm a bit scared of hights." He was impressed. When he saw Charlie's face, he now, that he understood every last word of his. He instantly flew to the air, and seized his master on his shoulders, and he softly dropped him to the green grass. Hermione saw this, and she disappeared from her window, to appear few minutes later in the garden door. She punched it open, and ran to him, and pulled him in a strong hug. The little scarlet reptile landed on Jeremy's shoulder, putting his skin wings on place at his side.
"Hermione." started the boy "I would like to introduce you to Charlie. Charlie this is Hermione. I really care for her, so you have to as well." he said, and stoke the dragons little head. Hermione blushed, and she stroke him as well. The little raptor liked it, and tickled her face with his long tail.
"Let's go in." Hermione said. "A big cake is waiting for you two." they walked inside slowly. The girl softly put her hand in Jeremy's. He smiled at her.
"You know..." she started when she closed the garden doors. "I know a Charlie. And it's much a coinsidence."
"Why?" he asked. She hurried with the answer.
"I know a Charlie Weasley, who's working in Romania, with dragons."
"Really?" he was astonished by the news. "This is good!" The Granger parents were still in their pijamas, drinking coffee, and they lookes suspiciusly to the toffe cake.
"Mum, dad" she stood in the kitchen to produce their new pet. The adults immidiately focused on the small red dragon on Jeremy's shoulders. The shadow of fear ran trough their eyes, but they stay calm. "this is Jeremiah's new pet dragon, Charlie. He's legal, and completly harmless. He could even help around the house." she added, and then all fear disappeared from the parents. Jane walked there slowly, and rise her hand to stroke Charlie's head. He had two big horns on his head, but he still looked cute. Mr Granger stood up as well, and he pet the dragon himself. He's silky scales had won the day almost instantly. They stroke him for inutes, and after it, they all settled aroung the kitchen table, eatin the cake. Jeremiah almost cried, it was so delicious. Jane by the way did. Some whisper like her daughter finally grown up, she ran for a cloth. William giggled, and went after her. Hermione ate two slices, and she was full. Jeremiah and Charlie started a competition, who can eat more slices. It looked like the boy was winning. He ate six slises, and started the seventh, when the dragon finished with the fourth. Hermione just watched them, smiling. After the supper, Jeremiah brought Charlie up his room, on his bed to sleep.
"Just sleep boy." he whispered to the dragon "I'll be back soon. If you rested a bit, you could help the Grangers around the house, ok?" The dragon sighted as a gesture of understandin, and he fell asleep. The boy walked downstairs, and saw Hermione washing their dishes. He slowly slipped behind her and raised his hands to attack her.
"Tickles!" he shouted, and started to tickle her on her back and her side.
"No, no!!" she squealled "Stop it!" she dropped the glass in her hands, and it broke on the floor. She laughed loudly, trying to escape, but she couldn't. He held her so thightly, but she didn't really wanted to run. With a smile, he let her go, to go away from him. They stared at each-other for minutes, no moving. Suddenly, with a tiger-jump Hermione moved on him like a predator. She jumped on him, and they fell on the table. They started kissing each other again, but it was so hot, and erotic, that Hermione herself was suprised. The emotions which gathered in her expoded like a bomb. The kiss they had before Charlie's birth, was the opening of something new bethween them, but this was entirely different. Jeremiah stood up, still hugging her, he turned, and placed her on the table. Hermione hugged his waist with her legs, still kissing him, she grabbed his head, and pushed it harder to her's. He raised his hand, and reached for her huge breasts. As he touched one, Hermione finally understood the situation. She stopped kissing, and she pulled his hand off her.
"Aren't we a bit fast?" she asked, as she stood up.
"I'm sorry 'Mione." he looked a bit confused. "I'm really sorry. I didn't mean to..."
"Thats bad." she replied "Because I did. But still, I think we were a bit fast. We need to slow down a bit." she sighed "To know each other a bit better."
"I wouldn't have it any other way." he said. Hermione softly pulled her hands in his, than she nodded to the door. "Let's go for a walk ok? I know a good place."
"Here we are." she said. They were just exiting a little forest. Behind it, were a big lake, surrounded with fog.
"I like it." he said. "You want to talk here?"
"Yeah. It's very peaceful. We can walk around the lake if you want." when he nodded, they started their journey. For a time, they were in silence, but not for long.
"So..." Hermione started. "When did you found out, that you are a wizard?"
"Well lets count..." he looked away for a bit "I think three years ago."
"Three years? Sou you didn't get a letter from Hogwarts?"
"No, I didn't." he looked a bit uncomfortable, but he answered. "I dont't know why really. You want to hear my story?" he asked.
"Well... only if you want to tell." she smiled encourageingly. He laughed.
"Believe me" he started "I want to. I never had a friend before."
"So let's get started." he took a deep breath. "Three years ago in the Orphenage and old man came to visit. I was really suprised, because I never had any other person to be with, so I never had any relationships before. The old man named himself Albus Dumbledore, a Headmaster of some sort of school. As long as I lived, I kept doing stange thing around me, and he explained, that this is why I'm a wizard. I didn't believe him first. He went away then, but he came back on the next week. He asked me what I think of coming to his school, Hogwarts. He said he can help me. Then I've believed him. I went to Hogwarts with him on a train. He arranged a bedroom to me, and I've met the other teachers. I liked all, except that dodgy looking potions teacher. "Hermione laughed, but when he stopped talking, she moved her hand, and showed him to continue. "I've learnt every sort of magic. Dumbledore placed me in a little library filled with strange, old books. He said I'll have to learn everything. This was my only lesson. I was never thought by another teacher, I've never met any other students. But I knew, that I was in the right place. Monthly Dumbledore tested me. He choose different spells I had to perform, and he gave me marks. I never understood why this was nescesarry, because I've always got the top grade... So I went to the Orphenage every summer, and I was learning in Hogwart all year."
"What sorts of things did you learn about?" she asked.
"Dunno. Charms, conjuration, evocation, and these type of things."
"Wow." she sighed at her amusement "Those could really be interesting."
"They were. I trained so hard, that I could sometimes perform magic without words."
"What?" Hermione became a bit confused. "that kind of spellcasting is 7th year requirement."
"Really?" he blushed at her suprised stare. "I didn't know."
"And what kind of wand you have? I have a unicorn tale-stripe in it. It's cherry-tree."
"Wand?" he really didn't know what she was talking about. "What's a wand?" Hermione stopped, looking shocked. But.. he doesn't use a wand? He never used a wand? But...thats...
""What's the problem 'Mione?" he looked scared. Hermione forced out a smile.
"Nothing... it's nothing. You know, all the wizards and witches I've ever heard about used wands. Professor McGonagall said, that no wizard or witch can perform magic without a wand."
"Uhhh... I didn't know that." suprise could be heard from his voice. Unfortunately, he didn't have any time to think about it, because he looked at Hermione. As she looked in one direction, her face mirrored fear. Jeremy turned, and looked there himself. He saw three people walking towards them. The mist was slowly disappearing, so he could clearly describe that three. The one who was walking in the middle, was a sharp faced, tall boy with silver-blond hair, and an ugly smile on his face. The other two were maybe twice as big as he was, both of them had stupid faces, and big gorilla arms. They looked like the middle boy's guards.
"Well, well well..." he started in an egoistic tone in his voice. "We're lucky, aren't we? We're coming to walk a little, and what do we find? Mudblood Granger with her little boyfriend." he laughed.
"Go away Malfoy." said Hermione. Jeremiah noticed the fear in her voice. "Leave us alone."
"But we don't want to go away, don't we boys?" the two gorillas giggled stupidly. Jeremy clearly saw, that this boy was Hermione's school-mate, and he was sure, that she hated him. Malfoy continued. "We like to see what's a Mudblood's blood's color like... brown?" he stepped closer to Hermione. Jeremy instantly stepped bethween them. "Leave." he said. It looked like Malfoy nearly did, but it was sure, that Hermione saw fear in his eyes, as he watched the stare of Jeremiah, standing in front of her, as a protector. But Draco realised, that he has his gorillas with him. He smiled. "Boys." he said "Let's teach this fucker a lesson." From nowhere, as the boys stepped closer to Jeremy, Charlie appeare, and landed on his shoulder. Everyone stared on the dragon for a few secs, but then the two big boys, lifted their fists, cracking their fingers loudly, waiting for their boss' order.
"Charlie." Jeremy whispered to the dragon quickly. "I want you to take Hermione home, and don't let her come fro me." as he saw the dragon's eye, he noticed fear in them The gorillas finally started their attack move. "Now! Fly! Take her and fly!" his last words were not understandable, because a big fist hit him on the jaws. He fell bac, but he didn't hit the ground. "I won't fight." he said to his three comfronters.
"Easier for us then." smiled Malfoy. Charlie finally opened his red wings, and flew up, grabbing Hermione by the shoulder, and lifted her up to the skies. She shouted loudly, but Charlie didn't disobey his master's direct order. He flew to the Granger house, and dropped Hermione on their gardens's lawn.
"No Charlie, we have to go save him!" she yelled. She was angry, angry as never before. But her strongest feeling was fear. Horror stunned him, she was so afraid, and worried. She couldn't move in shock, and finally, when the dragon landed in front of her, she'd broken into tears. This all happend because of me! she thought. Me beeing a mudblood. She almost saw the bloody face of Jeremiah, and she almost felt what pain he has to suffer because of her. All because of her! She cried so hard, that she fainted.
She was in her bed. She clearly felt, that she was in her bed. She didn't wanted to open her eyes. She felt stroking on her hair. She finally opened her eyes in horror. She started to cry instantly. Jeremiah was sitting on her bed. He looked horrible, Malfoy and his crew did a valid job. One of his eyes (the green one) wasn't seen under the pink mark of Crab's fist. He had several marks like this, green and purple, on all his face. A little river of blood flowed from his mouth. He wasn't wearing his shirt. He had a very wide bandage on his chest, and side. Maybe they broke one of his rib. He had a deep cutting starting fron his forehead, it went through his eyebrow and finished on his cheek. Hermione couldn't stand this any longer. She sat up quickly, hugged his neck, and put her head on his shoulder. She was crying hardly.
"I'm glad you're safe Hermione." this was more than she could bear.
"I'm so sorry!" she yelled in a high voice. "It was all my fault! Please forgive me!" he just waited her to finish, when her words finally reached her mind.
"What are you talking about?" he asked quietly "It wasn't your fault!" he grabbed her head softly, and he stared in her chocolate-brown eyes. "Listen to me! Don't you dare to say this! It was that asshole, what did you call him? Malfdoy? He was the one who did it! But he'll pay. I thought, that he won't attack, if I say I won't fight. But I see now what sort on man he is... Don't worry my love. Don't feel sorry." He said it! He said my love! He really loves me! Oh my God, he loves me!!! Hermione hugged him thightly, mor than ever. She cried again, but these tears were the tears of happiness, and love. Jeremy didn't realise what he said, but he knew he said something big. Than he knew. He had to say it again. To Her.
"I love you Hermione Granger." he whispered in her ear. She looked up.
"I love you too Jeremiah Dawn." she smiled. "I love you." They hugged, till they both fell asleep. They both were so peaceful and happy for each-other. They love survived the First Encounter with Hatred.
And now, the long waited 29th of July had come at last. Hermione made history: she popped out of her bed, and she made her shower in five minutes. She was so excited.
