All situations are my imagination, All recognizable acharacters are J. K. Rowling's, i am not making any money on this fic.
As soon as she left, Severus locked the door and went back to work. Of course, it would take him no time to pack his books with magic, but he preferred to do it by hand. He couldn’t stand for anything to happen to his books. He was sure Hermione showed the same care and dedication. Hermione… Severus sat down, thinking of their meeting. He felt himself growing hard. Without really realizing it, his hand started to move downward. “Incredible, unbelievable”…he imagined her saying those things about him. His hand started moving up and down. And that moment when her eyes had darkened, he was sure she wasn’t thinking very pure thoughts. His hand was pumping up and down, harder, herder. “It was really great to see you again, truly”. Yes, yes, YES, he climaxed with a groan and fell back, exhausted.
After his head cleared, Snape realized he had just jacked off thinking about…Hermione. That was NOT supposed to happen. Ms. Granger, the little know it all brat. It didn’t matter if she wasn’t little, or a know it all, or a brat, she was still completely out of the question. He couldn’t believe his weakness, his stupidity, or his blindness. What was he thinking, he’d known her for what, a day? No, he had known her half her life. Either way, he should not be attracted to her at all. And he wasn’t, he would make sure of it.
Hermione practically ran out of the dungeon, stopping to catch her breath only when she had reached the staircase. There she sat down, trying to sort out all of her thoughts. She had thought the relationship between her and Severus was even less than that of teacher and teacher, then all of a sudden, he shows up acting friendly. It completely took her off guard. That’s no excuse though, she shouldn’t want him to kiss her senseless just because he decided to talk to her. Of all of the attractive, eligible guys that have tried to get her, why did she want the one that didn’t want her? Sure, he was amazingly sexy, and had a voice that could make her orgasm, but she didn’t even know him. He obviously didn’t like her in a kissing sort of way, so what was with the urge? Oh well, it was probably just one of those in the moment things, no reason she shouldn’t try and be friends. Feeling better, she decided to take a stroll around the grounds to clear her head.
When she returned later that night, Severus was done, and had left the door magically sealed. She had hoped he would leave it open, but maybe he just forgot out of habit. Feeling tired, she decided to turn in early.
The next morning, she went to breakfast feeling a lot better. She met Severus in the Great Hall. “Good morning Severus, sleep well?” she inquired. To her confusion, he just walked by without giving any sign he had heard her. She tried again on the way out of the Great Hall, but with the same results. For some reason, Snape was completely ignoring her. She racked her brains trying to think of what she could have done, but he had seemed normal enough when she left him yesterday. Maybe he had something on his mind. When she asked Minerva if there was anything bothering Severus, Minerva said she didn’t know of anything, though he did seem a little more uptight than usual this morning.
When she returned to the dungeons, she noticed Severus’ hat was lying near the door. She remembered that he had taken it off, and he must have forgotten to take it with him. She didn’t know whether she should take it to him or not, but her problem was solved when Severus himself came strolling through the door. He entered without even looking at her, and took the hat off the desk where she had placed it. She stood in front of him, preparing to ask him what was wrong. “Move out of my way,” he said quietly, his face livid. His voice was full of hatred and disdain. She moved aside and watched him sweep out of the room. She ran into the bedroom and fell sobbing onto her bed. She didn’t know what she had done, but she had never felt so hurt in her whole life, well what she could remember anyway.
It took every ounce of will Severus had to put the loathing in his voice. To see the look of hurt in her eyes killed him. Now she would never forgive him, those eyes would haunt him forever. The poor girl, she hadn’t done anything. He felt awful, but this is what he had to do. She would understand one day. If she knew who he really was, she wouldn’t care about how he was treating her. That was bothering him too, what if he got involved with this girl, and she didn’t even know who he was. He could tell her, but then she wouldn’t speak to him again. But that was what he wanted, wasn’t it?
