Chapter 4
After his father, Severus, and James left the room Draco looked at his husband. Harry had gotten up and was beginning to get a basin of water and what looked to be bandages. It was then he remembered the cut on his shoulder. He watched as his husband knelt in front of him and cleaned and dressed the cut. Harry was being so gentle that it hardly hurt.
When is shoulder was properly bandaged he stood and pulled Harry to his feet. “We had better get dressed. Some of the servants will pack your belongings to take to the palace, but we must hurry. The sooner you are safely in the palace the more relaxed I will be.” He told Harry.
Harry just nodded and began to pull out clothes for the both of them. Draco noticed how Harry was trying to hold it all together and knew his love was afraid. He walked over to the smaller man and wrapped his arms around him. That was all it took to make the tears fall.
“I can’t do this.” his husband said.
“What do you mean Harry?” he asked afraid his husband decided he didn’t want to be married to him any more. He knew he wouldn’t be able to live without his Harry.
“I can’t do this, go with you, put you in danger any more. You could have been killed tonight and for what? Me? Draco I am not worth that sacrifice.”
“Oh Harry, you are, believe me you are. I would do anything to keep you safe, believe it or not I do love you, though we haven’t known each other long I do love you.” He said as he tightened the grip he had on the man in his arms. No one would take him from him.
Harry looked up at him and he kissed away the tears that had fallen from the beautiful green eyes. He then leaned down and gently kissed his husband’s lips. When he felt Harry relax in his arms he knew he had done the right thing. Breaking the kiss he smiled down at his little husband and delighted at the shy smile he got in return.
Taking the cloths from his husband he began to dress them both. He soon had both of them dressed and wrapped an arm around Harry’s waist as he led him to the sitting room to say goodbye to the Potters. He would be glad to return to the palace.

They arrived to the sitting room and saw everyone waiting for them. Harry’s mother was crying as her baby would be leaving with them, and probably wouldn’t be able to visit them for a while as it wouldn’t be safe.
He gave his in-laws hugs goodbye and watched as Harry said goodbye to his family with promises to write. He smiled when Harry returned to his side as the Potters escorted them out to their carriage.
He helped Harry into the carriage and climbed in after him followed by his father and Severus. He wrapped an arm around his husband and tucked him into his side. He noticed his father watching the two of them with a smile and knew he approved of his mate.
“We should all try to get some rest. It is a long way back to the palace and we won’t be arriving there till sunset.” Said Lucius.
Draco nodded and decided to get more comfortable by leaning back against the wall of the carriage and stretching his long legs along the seat. He then settled Harry between his legs and smiled as his husband relaxed against him, and soon both were a sleep. Though it wouldn’t last as it was hard to sleep in a carriage.

“They do look good together, don’t they Severus?” Lucius said smiling fondly at his son and new son-in-law.
“Yes they look quite well together. Their children will be beautiful. Though it is hard to believe someone would want to hurt someone like Harry.”
“Tom Riddle is insane and believes he can make Harry love him. It won’t work, but I doubt we have see the last of Tom. I think he will find a way to try and get to Harry.” Lucius said.
“Does Harry know magic and is he able to perform it?”
“Yes he does and is able to. His mother taught him while he was young, but he doesn’t want to hurt anyone. The reason Harry was always sick as a child was because his magic was so much stronger than his body. They thought it would kill him, but he always was a fighter. He is a lot stronger than he looks, if only we could get him to use his magic.”

Draco woke a couple hours later and noticed his father and Severus were asleep. He also noticed the comforting weight on top of him and smiled at his husband sleeping peacefully. It was then the carriage gave a jerk and all sleeping occupants woke.
Draco smiled as the green eyes opened. He gently leaned forward and kissed his husband while his father and Severus tried to go back to sleep.
“Give it up you two. We will be to the palace soon and then you can catch up on your sleep.” He said to them with a smile.
Sure enough he was right and they were soon pulling up to the front of the palace. When they were all out of the carriage they bid each other goodnight and went to their separate wings. Draco promised Harry he would show him around tomorrow as his husband looked to tired to do it tonight and escorted him to the bedroom the two would be sharing. He led Harry in and pulled out two pairs of his pajamas, as Harry’s had not been brought to the room. The two changed and he had to try hard not to laugh at how big his clothes looked on his husband. Soon the two climbed into bed, and after a couple of kisses goodnight they were soon asleep.
