“Wow, you did all that?” Ron turned to Lialani, his mouth open.

She nodded with a small smile playing on her lips.

“Miss Turowsky, what you did to my classroom five years ago was not funny then, nor is it funny now,” Severus snapped.

The smile vanished instantly, but in its place, an impish sparkle appeared in her eyes. Harry looked at her eyes and a thought occurred to him.

“Professor Dumbledore?” Harry asked.

“Yes, Mr. Potter?”

“Do her eyes have anything to do with her be a Magnesius?”

“Funny you should ask. As a matter of fact, they do. The brown one is what you could call her normal eye. And the black one represents her power. But if anyone outside the Order should ask, it’s simply ‘something that happened’. Is that understood?”

Four heads nodded obediently.

“But why is Professor Snape here?” Lialani asked.

“Well, Miss Turowsky, he’s here because he’s going to start training you. He’s going to teach you how to hone you skills and how to gain complete control over them, especially the fire one,” Albus replied, a twinkle in his clear blue eyes. “And, Mr. Potter, he’s going to train you to work perfectly with Miss Turowsky. You have a great deal of raw magic that can be channeled to further the power of Miss Turowsky’s. And Professor Snape will be teaching you how to.”

“Why are we here then?” Ron asked, gesturing to himself and Hermione.

“Actually, you two will be needed. Mr. Potter and Miss Turowsky, should they use their powers, will be greatly weakened-“

“Wait, are we just going to be there for them to lean on?” Ron interrupted, not liking that concept one bit.

“No, if you didn’t interrupt me, Mr. Weasley, you would have heard me say that I’m going to depend on you two to basically brew potions that will save their lives. But that’s not all you two will be needed for, not by ag shg shot. You two are also very powerful, if not in the same way as your two friends here, but if you work toward all your potential, like Miss Granger already does, you will indeed become very powerful and will be an asset in this war we will no doubt have to fight.”

“So, their lives, basically, their lives will be in our hands?” Hermione asked nervously.

Albus nodded, his face grave.

“I may have just met you three, but I already feel connected to you and I feel like I’m safe with you,” Lialani said, patting Hermione’s hand reassuringly.

Hermione looked at her, straight into her eyes, and immediately knew what she was talking about. Hermione felt truly safe.

Albus watched as this happened, and knew that the girls had just formed a bond that would keep them together for a life.
.

Lialani broke the eye contact first and turned to Harry. She clasped his hands in hers and fixed her mismatched eyes on his brilliant green ones. Suddenly they felt a surge pass through their intertwined hands. They both looked down at them, and watched with shock and surprise as a ball of swirling rainbow colors grew, encasing their hands in it. They looked at Albus, who merely looked back at them. They looked back down, and then at each other. But with a pop, the glowing ball of light vanished. They blinked, surprised, and looked back at Albus. He smiled his smile, knowing exactly what was going on.

“Do you think we can go back to the feast?” Ron asked.

Albus nodded, but added, “Mr. Potter, Miss Turowsky, I would like you two to stay behind. The rest of you, including you, Professor Snape, may go back down to the feast.”

Snape nodded and swept out of the room. Ron and Hermione waved bye, left the room, and closed the door behind them.

“Now, Harry, you’ve seen the kind of damage Lialani can cause with her powers. And you both saw the ball of light. All that ball of light did was prove that you two were destined to become friends. As far as I know, you two were fated to know each other and work as a team to help bring down Voldemort.”

“But Harry still has to defeat Voldemort on his own right?” Lialani asked, although she knew very well what the answer was.

“Of course, that’s what the prophecy says. But together you two will bring down many Death Eaters and that will greatly weaken the evil side,” Albus replied.

“Well, that’s all we can hope for,” Harry said.

Lialani nodded. She reached down to scratch her left knee and realized that they were still holding hands. She let go of his quickly.

“Can we go back down to the feast, now, too, Professor?” Lialani asked hopefully.

Albus nodded. “There is more to discuss, but we can talk at a later date.”

“Okay. And Professor…” Lialani looked at the wise old man and simply smiled. It was a smile that said everything she couldn’t express in words. Albus nodded, and waved them away with a twinkle in his eyes.

They smiled and left the office, closing the door softly behind them.

Albus sat there, thoughts drifting in and out of his mind. He truly couldn’t believe just how much power Lialani had at her fingertips. The power depends on how black the magical eye is, and her black eye was as black as the midnight hour. That child truly was the next Voldemort.
