Chapter 4

\" Thank you Ron, I don\'t think the people in Russia heard you,\" Yelled Hermione as the entire hall came out. Harry looked at Hermione in shock as she headed down to the dungeons. Ginny shook her head at her brother and headed back inside. Hermione was a mess by the time Snape returned from dinner. She had hardly eaten, and her hair was a mess. She really wanted to make this all work and she was hoping that Ron would of been understanding, but alas Ron showed that he could make something as important into something big.
\" Are you okay?\" Severus asked. Hermione didn\'t respond, just got up and went into her room. He loved her and knew that this would take time.

Word of Hermione\'s marriage to Snape was the talk for the next two weeks. Hermione didn\'t think what was worse, the Gryffindors sneering at her or Harry telling her that everything would be alright. Professor Dumbledore had a talk with the students saying that Snape was a honorable man and that he would take good care of her. Hermione was still in a bad mood as October started and the weather grew colder. Dobby had come to clean the grate and noticed Hermione was still crying.
\" Mistress Snape must not be upset,\" said Dobby. \" Mistress Snape must be happy, Dobby doesn\'t like it when Mistress Snape is upset and crying.\"

Hermione wanted to laugh at the House-elf\'s talk, but knew that Dobby was only trying to help.
\" I hate everything that has happened,\" she told him. \" I don\'t know what to do.\"
\" Has Master Snape hurt you?\" Hermione shook her head, and the House-elf seemed pleased. When night came she hid herself in her room and only heard the talk of Professor McGonagall and Snape talking about everything that had happened.
\" I don\'t know what to do?\" He told her. \" I just wanted to protect her.\"
\" I understand Severus,\" she replied. \" Just give her time, she\'ll find out what kind of man you really are.\" Hermione heard the door closed and knew that the Professor was right, she would sooner or later find out what kind of man she had married.

Severus tried to show that he liked her by showing her advance potions that he knew would spark her intrest. It worked, she at least came out. She would read over books while Severus showed off some of his talents that he never showed the Deatheaters. He made fat puddings and big cakes.
\" My mum didn\'t have a daughter, so she taught me how to bake,\" he told her. \" My dad wasn\'t around so he never found out.\"
\" I bet your father didn\'t think a man should be able to cook.\" Severus smiled at her and again she found she liked it. Hermione showed off her talent in cooking by making something that Severus had never seen before, pizza. She didn\'t know if he liked things like mushrooms and sasuage on his like she did, but he allowed her to have her own way and soon they were eating threw their second pie.

\" It was all good,\" he told her. Hermione smiled and thought that at least something nice had happened.
\" You know if you ever gave up potion making you could be a chief.\" He knew that she was saying something nice and he again smiled. The next day when she woke up she found a note on the table.

I hope that my leaving doesn\'t make you think that something is wrong. The Headmaster is holding a meeting and I must go. See you in class.

Hermione put the note away and then grabbing her things she left for the Great Hall.
