Accidental Reunions

Lythia and Rhiannon landed easily near the Leaky Cauldron. Minutes later they were through the pub and into the back store room. "You know, Li...I had a really weird dream about this place last night," Rhiannon explained as Lythia expertly tapped the bricks to get into Diagon Alley.

"Yeah? The Cauldron's not that great of a place, Rhi..." she reminded as she looked over her shoulder at the girl. The bricks pulled back and with a smug grin Lythia turned back towards the last real wizarding shopping centre in all of England. "So...ice cream first or would you rather just go straight for the supply shop?" she asked, but Rhiannon already had her broom thrown over her shoulder and was heading towards Quality Quidditch Supplies. Shaking her head, Lythia followed the girl with a smile on her face and her broom heaved over her shoulder.

They both had to avoid the soon-to-be first years that were crowding the window and the main door to the store. Each of the girls dropped their brooms off at the counter and grabbed a flyer. "Li...I want to see if they've got any new bats," Rhiannon began as they started strolling up and down the isles of books. "I've been using mine for nearly six months now and every time we practise I feel like it's going to explode in my hand," she admitted with a frown. "Ooh, I'm missing this one!" she exclaimed, picking up an atlas. "Look, Li! The 1958 Quidditch League statistics! You know the Harpys did really well that year," she said, and buried her nose in it.

"I'm going to go look at the Quaffles," Lythia announced to the deaf girl next to her and with a pat on her back she strode out of the isle towards the gear.

"Wow...four hundred and fifty to thirty...geeze if I could pull off the Backbeat that well I bet I could make the teams," Rhiannon said aloud as she walked. "Wow! Gwendolyn Morgan's greatest goals were made that ye-"

BAM.

As she turned the corner she smacked right into a tall brunette figure. "Oh, sorry!" she apologized, hardly removing her eyes from her book long enough to see that the man she had bumped into had been someone she knew.

"Rhiannon?" the voice asked.

Looking somewhat doubtful she turned around, folding her fingers over the top of the book and looking up into the eyes of none other than Oliver Wood, Keeper and co-captain of Puddlemere United. Her heart sank into her toes nearly as fast as the book plummeted onto the carpeted floor.
