Alternate Ending 2

Author's note: Yes, I'm writing another alternate ending. It has been mentioned to me, twice actually, that Molly's reaction wasn't quite the way they pictured it would be. And I have to admit, I agree now that I've gone back and re read both reactions. It was really extreme. So this one is better, I hope.

"Fred? George? Is everything...? Oh," Their mother opened the door. She was home early. Mortified, the two men flushed scarlet. "Okay then," Kind of in a daze, Molly Weasley closed the door on her two sons and they could hear her walking down the stairs.

"What was that?" George asked.

"I have no idea. Come on," The two of them hurried to get dressed then practically flew down the stairs after their mum. She was in the living room, taking down an old photo album. "Mum? Are you okay?"

"I'm trying to figure out where exactly I went wrong to cause this. I had to have done something wrong, obviously. None of your siblings are like this," She'd sat on the couch so they could see the side of her face as she spoke. Tears were streaming down her face.

"You think you did something wrong?" Fred asked, confused.

"I had to have. I mean, there's nothing wrong with you being gay, of course. Charlie is and you know I have no problem with that. It's just, the two of you.... It's just not...," She trailed off and opened the album.

"Mum, we... we know that it's not normal but, like you told Charlie, you can't help who you love. You didn't do anything wrong," George knelt in front of their mum. "You are the best mother anyone could've wished for. This isn't your fault."

"It's no one's fault, Mum. We just love each other in a different way than most siblings," Fred knelt beside his brother. "Don't blame yourself for us, okay?" She nodded. The three of them were silent for a moment. "We'll leave if you want us to," Fred spoke again after a moment.

Molly lifted her head quickly. "Why on earth would I want that? You're both still my sons. Besides, you can't help who you love. It'll just take a while to get used to it, that's all. Now sit up here and look through these photos with me," She insisted.

The twins smiled at each other and sat on either side of their mother as she opened the photo album.

Author's note: Okay, how was this one? I like this one the best, personally. I think that's because it's the longest though. ~Celeste
