Under the spell of a vampire

Chapter 3

It was raining very hard outside the Snape manor where he lived alone since he graduate a year ago from Hogwarts School. Dark times filled the atmosphere in Wechester, London where Severus dynasty has lived since ever. All his family has passed away giving their lives for the dark lord. Not that he cares about it, because all his family belonged to the royalty; to pure bloods, one of the richest families of all wizarding world and most important of all, one of the most confident families for the dark lord. He was the only one who didn¡¦t care about that form of living. For him being at school and prepare to be a powerful wizard was most important of being in stupid dances and reunions with important people.

Being the last of the Snape dynasty, the dark lord has being persuading him to join his side. He was not interested at the beginning, but now is different. There is a strong matter that tied Severus to him. The dark lord is the only one who could help him to find out the way to save the woman he loves.

\"You know what, Sevirin?\" she finally said, while the rain continued hitting noisily the windows of his bedroom.

\"Stop, calling me that way, would you? Make me feel like a fool.\" he replied staring into the ceiling of his room, his left arm hugging and caressing her head that was resting peacefully on his chest.

\"Whatever you say Sevirin\", she teased back with a playful smile on he pale face.

Severus rolled to place Daniela under him and slightly pressed her throat with his hands, \"Call me Sevirin once more and I w¡ll strangle you\".

\"Ok, all right, you win. It is just my way to call you. I like how it sounds\".

Severus released her and gently kissed her. \"But I did not like it, is that clear? Anyway, what you were going to tell me?\"

\"Oh yeah, it is just that such activities make me thirsty\".

He stares down at her and gave a disapproval look. She raised her head to look at him with a beautiful smile on her face. In one movement, Severus sat up on the edge of his bed and pulled back his long black hair off his face. He closed his eyes and sight deeply. After some tense seconds of silence he replied in a deep and slow voice.

\"You must wait one or two more days. You know that I am at the point to complete the potion that will ease for ever that urge you have for blood\".

Daniella kneeled on the bed behind him, and crossed her arms around his shoulders caressing his firm chest. \"But it is almost a month since I do not have any; and I feel I could not wait any longer, Severus. I know you are trying to help me, and believe me, I appreciate that. But our kind can not live without blood. You know that. I need to go out and get some, before I ...\"

Severus did not allow her to finish her statement as he abruptly stands up facing her in his full high. His face muscles tightened giving him the usual severe and scary expression he always has.

\"You are not going anywhere\", he growled without moving his lips. \"Don\'t you understand you could get kill if you go outside now?\"

\"But don\'t you understand that I could kill you if I don\'t go outside and get what I need\", she spat back, confronting him.

Silence surrounds them for a short while. It was obvious he was restraining her from her liberty since some time now for some reason. Severus curled his lips and called out his wand to dress up magically with his usual black robes; then he walked toward the window. He passed his hands over his head pulling his hair back again and sight deeply. Staring to the heavy rain and darkness outside the window, he decided to lower his tone and be reasonable with her; after all it was his fault to have her in his house for almost an entire month without giving her a chance to go out and hunt.

\"Daniella almost a year has passed since I graduate from Hogwarts, and you know that since then I have been working very hard on that potion for you. You do not have any idea of all risk and troubles I have been passed to have the unique and rare ingredients to prepare it. And now that I am almost finishing brewing it, you could not wait just one more night?\"

Daniella rose from bed and also magically covered her nudity with her wand, wearing an elegant long silk white gown. Slowly she walked toward him until she reached his back and slipped her arms around his waist.

\"Severus, my love, you can not imagine how I feel right now. I feel I could expire in any moment. This abstinence for blood is killing me. Everyday I became weaker because I do not have what I need. There is something burning me from the inside. I can not live without blood. In fact, the only reason that made me accept to be here without blood is the love I feel for you. But it is almost a month, and I feel I can not fight this urge any longer.\" She whispered in to his ear.

\"It is too risky Daniella, you can not go outside now. People are suspecting of you already. All those death bodies that were found before I bring you here; all of them with the same marks on theirs necks. Now all town is after you\".

He turned to face her and place his hand on her face carefully caressing her lips with his thumb until he felt her abnormal long and pointed canine teeth that protrude among her other perfect white teeth behind her delicate lips. Slowly he bends down and kissed her.

\"You are the only person I had loved. I do not want to lose you.\"

Sadly, she stared up at him, and tears were forming in her intense deep blue eyes. Severus cupped her face with both hands and wiped her tears off with his thumbs. Daniella embrace him firmly, she does not know why, but she felt her nature being becoming stronger than her love for him; and she does not want him to notice it.

Suddenly they pulled apart and Severus turned to go outside the bedroom. \"I will return to the laboratory now. I may be able to finish that potion tonight if I got that last ingredient.\"

Daniella chuckled at his comment and replied, \"You have been inside that laboratory for years. I do not doubt you have been come an expert on potions. In fact, I believe that actually nobody knows more of potion making than you; not even Dumbledore. Who were going to believe it, Severus Snape the most powerful potion master in all wizarding world.\"

Severus sneered at her comments and thought for himself, \'Not even the Dark Lord knows how much I have learned because of you. If only you know that I will have to serve him to obtain the ingredients for this damn potion\'. \"Stay here until I came back.\" He said in his deepest voice.

\"I could not guarantee that, but I promise I will try again like all these past days.\" Severus turned to give a last look at her and closed the door of his room to go to see the dark lord. He had a feeling that after this meeting his life will change for ever. He sighted deeply and stormed out. He was sure that he will be able to save the woman he loves after this meeting. What he does not know is that the destiny had its own plans.
