Chapter 1- The Fifth One is Found
Hermione Granger made her way through King’s Cross with her parents Ronnie and Elizabeth Granger.
“Hermione, are you sure you’re not mad about what we told you earlier this week?” Ronnie asked.
“Dad, mum, I’m sure. I’m not angry. Shocked and surprised, yes, but never angry. I now understand why you waited now to tell me the truth.” Hermione answered.
“If you want, we can try and find the Halliwells.” Elizabeth suggested.
“No. If they want to find me, let them search for me. At the moment, I don’t know if I really want to find them.” Hermione said.
Her parents just nodded. The three quickly crossed the barrier onto Platform 9 ¾. Hermione waved at he classmates as they passed her.
“Hermione! Hermione!” a male voice called out.
Hermione spun around and found her boyfriend, Draco Malfoy, running toward her.
“Draco!” Hermione squealed as she ran to him.
Draco caught her in his arms and spun her around. Once she was back on her feet she kissed Draco sweetly. He gladly returned the kiss.
“It seems your daughter missed my son.” Lucius Malfoy chuckled as he approached Ronnie and Elizabeth.
“It would appear so. How is Narcissa?” Ronnie asked with a grin.
“She’s fine. She told me to invite you and Elizabeth to dinner this weekend.” Lucius answered.
“That sounds wonderful. Now, would you two mind coming up for air?” Elizabeth said.
Draco and Hermione pulled away and blushed furiously.
“Sorry Mr. and Mrs. Granger.” Draco apologized.
“Yeah, sorry Mr. Malfoy.” Hermione added.
“How many times do I have to tell you to call me Lucius my dear?” Lucius asked.
“Hermione! Draco!” called out two new voices.
Draco and Hermione turned around and found Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Ginny Weasley making their way through the crowd.
“Hey guys. How was your summer?” Ginny asked.
“It was great. Me, mom and dad had a blast touring South America. But I missed my dear Hermione.” Draco answered.
“You five had better hurry or you’ll be late.” Ronnie said.
“Bye mum. Bye dad. I’ll write you soon.” Hermione said as she hugged her parents.
“Have fun this term Draco.” Lucius said as he hugged Draco.
“I will.” Draco replied.
The five of them quickly boarded the train. As the train pulled away from the station they waved bye to Lucius and the Grangers.
The Malfoys had openly revealed their true colors after Voldemort went after Draco and his mother. It turned out Lucius had been spying for the Order of the Phoenix, along side Professor Severus Snape, for almost 23 years. Since then Draco had been resorted into Gryffindor and him and Hermione had been dating ever since.
“So, what did you three do this summer?” Draco asked Harry, Ron and Ginny.
“Mum, dad, Fred and George took us to Scotland. Harry was able to come too. It was great.” Ron said.
“Yeah. Especially when we got to study about the Druids. Hey, don’t we get t study about them this year in History of Magic?” Harry added.
“Yeah. We also get to study about the oldest and strongest Wizarding Families. I can’t wait.” Hermione answered.
The five talked all the way to Hogsmeade Station. Once they grabbed their things, said hi to Hagrid and climbed into the carriages, they began talking about the new school year.
“I wonder who the Head Boy and Girl are?” Harry asked.
“You’re looking at the Head Boy.” Draco answered.
“That’s great!” Ginny cried.
“Wow! Congratulations!” said Ron.
“Awesome!” Harry added.
“I’m proud of you.” Hermione said and kissed his cheek.
“Who’s Head Girl?” Ron asked.
“Susan Bones.” Hermione answered.
“She’ll make a great Head Girl.” Ron said.
“Why don’t you just ask her out Ron? I mean, you’ve had a crush on her since the end of our 5th year.” Draco asked.
“She would never go out with a guy like me.” Ron answered.
The others sighed. They had been trying to get Ron to ask Susan out for 2 year with no success. They placed their trunks in the front hall, avoided the falling ink balloons Peeves was dropping and headed into the Great Hall for the Welcoming Feast.
“Hi Draco.” Susan greeted as they passed her.
“Hi Susan. Congratulations on making Head Girl.” Draco said.
“Thanks. McGonagall told me to tell you there is a meeting with you, me, her and the Headmaster after dinner.” Susan said.
“Okay. I’ll see you then.” Draco replied.
Everyone took their seats and waited for the new first years to arrive. The hall fell silent as Minerva McGonagall lead the scared 1st years into the hall. One by one they were sorted and seated into their houses.
“I wish they would hurry up! I’m starving!” Ron complained.
“Patience is a virtue Ron.” Hermione said.
“Not right now it’s not.” he mumbled.
At that moment Albus Dumbledore got to his feet.
“Welcome to a new year at Hogwarts. First of all, I’d like to welcome back as our Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor, Professor Remus J. Lupin.” Albus said.
Everyone clapped and cheered. Hermione, Draco, Ron Ginny and Harry were the loudest. Even though they knew that Remus was returning as their DADA professor once more.
“Now, I know you are all famished, so I’ll make this quick. The Forbidden Forest is still forbidden to all students. Magic is not to be used in the corridors or anywhere outside of the classroom. And finally, as a school treat, we will be having a Yule Ball. The ball is for 4th years and up. Now, let us eat.” Albus said.
As usual the food was fantastic. The hall was quickly filled with chatter, laughter and the sound of silverware clanging. Up at the Head Table, Remus Lupin watched the Gryffindor table. Mainly Hermione Granger and Draco Malfoy.
“He does love her you know, and he would never hurt her.” Severus Snape said.
“I Know that, but she’s my only daughter Severus. I still can’t get over how much she looks like Patti. Her hair, her eyes, hell even her voice sounds like Patti at times.” Remus sighed.
“Why the hell don’t you tell her the truth?” She has a right to know don’t you think?” Severus asked.
“I’m scared. What if she hates me for what Patti and I decided was best? I don’t want to lose her completely.” Remus answered sadly.
“You have to tell her the truth. She will hate you if you don’t.” Severus said.
Remus sighed and began eating. Severus watched his friend from the corner of his eye. Severus remembered the day Remus had told him he was going to be a father.
‘I hope Remus tells her soon. We can’t allow Voldemort to find out the truth about her. I hope she will remain safe.’ Severus thought.
Meanwhile, back in San Francisco the Halliwell sisters were continuing their search for their sister.
“There’s nothing in the Book of Shadows that will help us.” Phoebe sighed.
“Well, wherever she is, it isn’t in San Francisco. I’ve been scrying for her for the past two hours.” Piper grumbled as she dropped the scrying crystal to the table.
“And there’s nothing in mom or Grams’s journals about her.” Prue said as she slammed the journal she held closed.
Just then Paige entered the kitchen. She wore a smile on her face.
“I’ve got good news, and some bad news.” Paige said.
“What’s the good news?” Phoebe asked.
“Hermione Halliwell is now Hermione Granger. She was adopted by Ronnie and Elizabeth Granger from a hospital in Dallas Texas. It seems mom must have done this to try and hide Hermione from the demon and possibly even the Elders.” Paige answered.
“And the bad?” Prue asked.
“The Grangers are no longer in the states. They returned to England six months after they adopted Hermione.” Paige replied.
“Well that’s great. How are we suppose to find her now?” Piper asked.
“That’s where I come in.” Leo said as he orbed in.
“Oh?” Paige questioned.
“Yes. Your sister is a charge of mine, only she doesn’t know it. She is currently at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.” Leo said with a smile.
“That’s great! When do we leave?” Paige said.
“Paige is right. We have to get to her as quickly as we can.” Prue added.
“Wait, how are we suppose to get there?” Piper asked.
“Well, Paige and I can orb us all there.” Leo answered.
Before anyone could speak Patricia appeared before her daughters and Leo.
“I’m glad you have found her. You must leave at once. Before you do, take this.” Patti said as she handed a tiny golden key to Prue.
“This is my key to my vault at Gringott’s. There you will be able to get money for things you will need. Be careful and I love you.” Patti said then vanished.
“What are we waiting for? Let\'s go.” Phoebe said.
The five of them held hands. Leo and Paige concentrated on Hogwarts. Within a blink of an eye the five orbed away from the Manor.
