AWA...Chapter 3

A Weasley Awakening...chapter three

Dinner that evening was strange to say the least. Ron had been to the
shops until late afternoon and Harry had once again hidden himself away
in the stuffy attic. He would be fine, he just needed some time to adjust.

Hermione had no sooner began cooking, when a long pair of arms encircled
her thin waist from behind, and soft lips planted themselves on her neck.
Ron\'s large hands were pulling her into him, and to his surprise she didn\'t
stop him. In fact she actually leaned back into his embrace.

\"Hello beautiful.\" Ron whispered into her ear gently, making the fine hairs
on the back of her neck stand straight up. He nibbled her earlobe for a brief
moment before he continued, \"I brought you something.\"

Hermione heard a tiny clank of metal, and his arms were coming around
her to slip on a slim gold chain with a little charm that looked like a piece
of butterscotch candy. She picked it up in the palm of her hand, and turned
around to face him, smiling up at her true friend.

Ron face was a shade lighthan han his hair. He still had the boyhood
coyness she had grown to love. It seemed to Hermione he would never
overcome the silly shyness he held around her most of the time.

\"I hope you like it, Mione\'.\" Ron gulped and bit his lip hesitantly.
\"It reminded me of you, because you\'ve always been so sweet to me.\"

She met his nervous eyes, and smiled broadly before giving him a tender
kiss on the cheek. Hermione actually felt his muscles relax a little with her
small reassurance. He had never quite learned to relax around her, his nerves
kept him on edge. Always knowing the completion of his fantasy was just
beyond his grasp, usually only a few feet away.

\"I love it, Ron. Thank you.\" She kissed him again, but this time she met
his lips softly, setting her skin on fire. Hermione pulled back, reaching up
to run her fingers through his long red locks. \"Come to my room tonight.
I don\'t want to be alone.\"

Ron nodded before drawing her into a tight hug. \"Anything you
want, Mione\'. Anything.\"

She smiled to herself, she just might hold him to that.

************************************************************

She wasn\'t shocked when Harry didn\'t come down for dinner. He surely
was wrestling with some inner demons right now. Hermione had known for
quite some time about Harry\'s feelings for Ron, but now things had changed.
She had put herself into the mix. Harry had to make a hard choice between
having what he wanted with a little difference, or nothing at all.

Hermione made sure to stay silent as she climbed the small tower to the
attic door. She could hear Harry\'s footsteps as he paced, and the scrawl
of his automatic writing quill. Hermione strained to hear his poetic words as
they flew out in a jumbled pa

She had often heard him do this, it was what Harry called \"flow-etry.\" A
rapid fire way of releasing emotion through words. Words that you don\'t even
think about to come out, they just come, in a tangled web of thoughts and feelings.

\".....\"I\'m twisting, screaming, burning...yet no one sees me...no one hears
me, sobbing in silence with love, pain, and guilt. Confusion runs rampent
tonight on the wings of a silver tounged devil, landing on the shoulder of a
red headed secret I\'ve held for too long....\"

Hermione listened silently, scowling. Did Harry really think her a devil?
Harry\'s words continued getting faster by the sentence.

\"....Feed me friends, your so called savior is hungry. I long to feast at your
table, to fill the void inside that calls to me. Will I eat my fill or will you tease
with your forbidden tastes? How could I ever deny my hunger? I\'m starving
for you, but I cannot open my mouth to eat, I cannot hold my knife, for it is
in my back, and my arms can no longer reach the table. I HAVE SAVED
ALL BUT MYSELF!!!!....\"

She heard him slam his fists on the desk. Hermione could stand no more,
Harry was hurting from somewhere deep inside and now she had only made
it worse. Only one way to make it right, and at any cost she would.

Hermione knocked softly and all sound stopped in the small room, only
Harry\'s hard footsteps to the door were now heard.

Harry jerked open the door to see Hermione looking up at him with her
lovely, but expectant eyes. He only looked down on her and sniffed
quickly, before walking back to where he had been trying to wear a
line in the carpet from his pacing.

\"Dinner is ready, Harry.\" She watched him carefully, her dark haired
friend reminded her of a caged animal. \"Are you coming down to eat?\"

\"I might.\"

\"I wish you would.\"

She closed the door behind her and looked at her long time companion.
He wasn\'t truly angry, just confused, and she couldn\'t blame him. Harry
wouldn\'t dare to be the first to say anything about this morning so she
took it upon herself.

\"Harry,\" she began softly. \"I think we need to talk.\" She sat on the small
couch next to her and patted the dusty cushion. \"Come sit with me for
a second.\"

He averted his eyes from her, and slummped his shoulders, but
took a seat by Hermione on the old gray couch nevertheless.

She sighed deeply, now was not the time to sugar coat anything. Harry
was not in the mood for it, and it was defianately not what he needed at
the moment. So Hermione went for it as honestly as she could.

\"I want to talk to you about this morning.\" Harry began to wring his
hands slowly as she continued. \"I just want to tell you I don\'t make a
habit of seducing my best friends like that. You should already know
that about me,Harry. Can\'t you see when I said I wanted both of you,
it wasn\'t a spur of the moment thing.\" She lowered her head and slipped
her petite hand over his. \"I\'ve wanted this for so long. I can\'t imagine
being away from you two.\"

Harry sighed, and sat up to fully be able to look at her.

\"Mione\',\" his voice was soft when he began, \"I wish you could
understand. All of this is so new to me. We\'ve been friends for so
long, and to suddenlangeange that bond,\" Harry sighed again, \"Well, it
takes a little time to get used to.\"

Hermione moved her legs up on the couch, and pulled on the back of
his shirt. He knew instantly what she wanted and he smiled faintly. Harry
settled his back into the crook of her legs, like he had done so many
times before. They had spent many an hour curled together on the
couch. First in the common room, and now here.

Harry laid back into her warmth as Hermione wrapped her arms around
his shoulders. How many times had they laid like this together? Only now
it seemed to both of them to hold more than it ever used to. This was just innocent snuggling, human contact to ebb the lonliness. Wasn\'t it?

\"Harry, you have to stop feeling bad about things you have no
control over.\"

\"I don\'t do that!\" Harry retorted, but vainly.

\"Yes you do.\" Hermione began to absently rub his tight shoulders.
\"You still blame yourself for Sirius\'s death, *one man*, Harry. Even ter ter defeating Voldemort for the sake of our *entire* world.\" Harry
tried to struggle with her words but she held him down and continued
to rub his stressed muscles. \"And now after all that is over, and after
all you\'ve done, you waste your time beating yourself up over your
sexuality. Staying holed up in this house, letting life pass you by.\" She
squeezed him gently and stroked his arms. \"Why do you let needless
guilt control your life?\"

Harry remained silent for a moment before answering softly.

\"I only wish you could know what I felt, Mione\'. Sometimes my
choices are already made for me.\" Harry began playing with her
ankle bracelet absentmindedly as he struggled to find the right
words. \"Everyone over three knows my face, my name, what I did,
and what I\'m now doing.\" Hermione rolled her eyes, and thankfully
Harry couldn\'t see her. \"I have no privacy as it is, and could you
even bloody imagine the papers running stories about my \'prefers\'?s\'?!\"

\"Calm down, Ha\" \" Hermione spoke softly, and ran her fingers
slowly through his unruly raven hair. \"No one is going to find out
about what happens here. This is our little world Harry, and nothing can
come here to take it away. We\'re bonded Harry. You, me, and Ron,
nothing can ever take that either. I know it\'s hard for you to believe
that, seeing that you\'ve lost so many in your life, but I\'m not going
anywhere for a long time, and neither is Ron.\"

Harry choked back a small sob. Hermione was right. His fear of them
being ripped away from his life suddenly, like Sirius and his parents,
held him at bay. He was afraid to live, to love, and just to be. Harry
was slowing realizing that for the last couple of months his numb
emotions had gone forgotten, but now Hermione\'s words were
awakening them once again.

He had been too numb for too long. Longer than what he wanted to
remember, much longer. Had he just been going through the motions?
How much had he missed out on? All that time chasing Voldemort,
fighting for the wizarding world, had he ever stopped to think about
himself?

Harry\'s insides twitched as he thought of the answer. Everyone, including
Harry, knew he hadn\'t. He had been the willing puppet, the way it had
to be, but now it was his time to finally start to live without the fear
of death.

Harry jumped up quite suddenly, smiling from ear to ear, like a great
idea had suddenly came to him. She looked at him with a questioning gaze.

\"Get up, Herm!\"

\"What in Merlin\'s name for?\" Hermione sat up, and raised an eyebrow
at him. \"What are you on about, Harry?\"

He winked at her excitedly. \"Where\'s Ron?\"

\"Downstairs in the kitchen.\" She was still looking at him with
curious eyes. \"Why?\"

\"Good, I\'ll go get him. You go geadyeady, OK?\"

\"What the hell are you babbling about you silly git?\" She teased him suspiciously.
\"Get ready for what?\"

Harry let a small smile spread on his face before answering.

\"The Delerium.\" He cleard his throat nonchalantly, \"I\'m taking you and Ron out tonight. So go get ready, and dress....accordingly.\"

She knew exactly what Harry ment. The Delerium club was an
underground night club for the younger witches and wizards who
dared to live the secrets that lay waiting within. It was a wild place,
but rumored to be even more wicked on the lower floors. Hermione had
been there before, but had never ventured below into its dark dungeons.
She was curious, but not *that* curious.

\"Are you serious?\" Hermione stood and looked at him unbelieving that
he would want to venture out into somewhere so public, or so wicked.
Espessially someplace like the Delerium. \"Have you lost sense of
everything, Harry Potter? We can\'t just...\"

\"What?\" He cut her off speaking slowly, smooth sexuality in his voice,
as Harry took a step toward her, taking her against him, and began
slow dancing with her. \"Just go out...to the Delerium...three beautiful
people...out for a good time...and rich enough to buy a large room,\" He
nipped her earlobe with his small even teeth. \"For the whole night.\"

Hermione let her hands come around Harry\'s slim waist, as he rocked
her back and forth in his arms. \"You\'re really serious, aren\'t you?\"

Hermione\'s voice cracked in hesitance, but the glisten in her eyes
gave her away. They betrayed the secrets of her excitement, it bubbled
beneath like a hot potion.

\"We could just get a few drinks.\" Harry winked at her
again. \"No big deal.\"

Stopping, she hugged him tight, Hermione knew what he ment. Ron was
a horny, lovey drunk most he the time. As long as he stayed off the
Fire-whiskey, it tended to make him easily irratated.

Harry\'s body felt wonderful against her small frame as she let her
head drop against his chest. He was long and slim, but still had the
dips and sways of the muscles from his long arms that wrapped around
her. He continued holding her for a moment before backing away to stop
his writing quill.

Harry adjusted his pants that were getting a little too tight for comfort,
and smiled. He walked to the door, and paused a moment before turning
around to give her a shy grin.

\"You know Herm, this crazy littlea ofa of yours just might work.\" Harry
beemed and chuckled loudly. \"I\'ve always said if you\'d have been
Slytherin, you would have been deadly.\"

\"What about dinner?\" Hermione asked annoyed, thinking for the first
time that it would go untouched.

She still didn\'t believe in keeping house elves, so all meals were mostly
prepared by her, and she she had to admit it wasn\'t her strong point.
But to her it was still better than slavery.

Harry laughed as he walked out the door, and darted down the steps.
\"I take that back you ARE deadly!\"

Hermione went after him but he had dissappeared down his private
hallway. All the way to the end, last door, the dark red one. Harry\'s
bedroom, the color had always reminded her of blood, and it still creeped
her out at times. So she didn\'t follow, not this time at least.

She walked slowly towards her room mulling around in her mind what
to wear out tonight, not just anything would do. She grabbed a towel
and darted towards the bathroom on the second floor to get first dibs
on the shower.

Harry wandered downstairs to see Ron impatiently waiting at the
dinner table. Even Ron didn\'t rush to eat Here\'se\'s food, glutton that
he wasen hen he wasn\'t dumb enough to eat too much of it.

\"Dinner\'s canceled, Ron.\"

Ron looked up with his thankful eyes. \"Brilliant! What for? Who saved us?\"

Harry grinned and leaned against the doorway frame looking in on Ron.
It simply wasn\'t fair! How could a man ever look that good? So tall you
just wanted to climb him, and his long fingers could only intice the mind
to wonder about what they could do.

Harry felt himself blush and he cleared his throat, putting a stop to the
small day dream he was having about his best friend. And Hermione had
the nerve to ask why he felt guilty about it?! Women, they could never
understand this situation in a thousand years! What would Hermione say
if Ginny told her she wanted to eat her clam?

Hermione would freak...as usual.

\"Actually,\" Harry broke the silence, \"I did.\" He smiled slyly at Ron. \"I\'ve
opted to take us all out tonight.\"

\"Great!\" Ron got to his feet. \"Where are we eating?\"

\"We aren\'t. We\'re going to the Delerium.\"

\"No bloody way.\"

The club was notorious for only letting in the most beautiful of the new
generations of witches, and the most powerful wizards, that now were
coming up through the ranks of magical society. Now that Voldemort
was gone their was no evil side to turn to, but the social classes
could almost kill you with the pressure of it all.

Harry let a small smile curve one side of his mouth. \"We\'re leaving
in an hour, Ron.\"

Harry left Ron, open mouthed in the dining room, trying not to let on
that anything was up tonight. He walked up the back stairs to his bedroom thinking. This had to be right, this was his only chance, and Ron had to
be willing. Harry would have it no other way, it just wouldn\'t be the same.

The club would make the perfect place to set Hermione\'s plan into
action. In a few hours, pleasure would finally be his. Better yet, it would
belong to all of them.
