Flashbacks
A/N: I repeat: I DO NOT own HP & its characters!!! They ALL belong to JKR!! I’m just screwin’ ‘round with ‘em!! IN addition to my own characters!!
Chapter Three: Flashbacks
A very frustrated Potions Master was waiting impatiently for the last four students to come in. Annoyingly, it was the ‘Fantastic Four’ as Ginny called themselves, even though Ron & Hermione weren’t dating. ‘Damn!! Lost my dinner because of these four--wha--!?!?’ Snape thought but then, abruptly stopped. Hermione, was in front of course, was striding furiously towards the castle. She wasn’t even looking up. She didn’t even know that Snape was right in front of her & collided with him & fell on top of him.

It was two weeks after her first day back at Hogwarts for her sixth year. Hermione got an owl from her parents saying that her mother was pregnant again. Naturally, Hermione was excited. She was all bubbly & peppy. A week later, at night, her father owled Hermione another letter. This one had said that her mother had a miscarriage. Hermione’s all happy & peppy mood switched into depression. She walked out of the Great Hall, head bowed. She hadn’t realized, but, she accidentally bumped into none other than Snape.
“Miss Granger if you would please--” Snape started but then stopped as the young witch cried out loud. ‘Dear Merlin!!’ he thought.
“Miss Granger. what is ever so wrong with you?” Snape asked.
Hermione still sobbed.
“Out with it girl!!” Snape snapped.
\"My--mum--lost--her--her--baby--!!” Hermione cried.
Snape sighed. He knew very well how that felt.
“Come on, Miss Granger. I’ll take you to your dorm,” Snape said.
It was quiet. Too quiet. The crying had sustained. Snape had a confused look on his face.
“Wha--!?” he asked & looked down.
Apparently, Hermione had fallen asleep in his arms.
“Dear Merlin how the stars exploded!!” Snape whispered.
He picked up the asleep girl & took her to his dorms. ‘Damn you, God!!’ Snape thought as he entered his chambers. He went straight towards his dorm. He put the sleeping girl on his bed & tucked her in tightly. He then took a blanket & went to sleep on his couch for that night. He wasn’t sure why he helped the little Mudblood, as he would call her behind her back, but, he did. He damned his soul to hell & then went right to sleep.
