Deception
Colors
Hermione dozed off, because someone was shaking her awake.
Immediately she reacted, her entire body stiffening. But it wasn’t Draco or even Narcissa staring at her, but an unfamiliar man with a sour demeanor.
‘Morax has finished his examination of Draco.’
Draco was laying unconscious on he floor.
‘Tranquilizer. A very powerful one.’ The doctor seemed incredibly irritated. As well as disgusted.
Hermione was filthy, but she doubted it had more to do with her status as a muggle born.
She was forced to drink a bitter concoction, and then he held her wrist.
Hermione watched with mild fascination as a little orb materialized in her palm. It began to change colors overtime---for the most remaining white, but at one point it turned red, and at another point green.
He frowned.
And then he looked at Narcissa.
Narcissa had her back turned, so she did not see the colors. But the doctor seemed very…irritated by something.
He went over to her, and she could hear them talking.
‘She is healthy, no signs of a curse, but dehydrate—‘
‘Very well,’ Narcissa prepared to dismiss him—
‘She is also pregnant.’
Hermione froze.
What?
No. That wasn’t possible.
It couldn’t be.
But you had unprotected sex. You had a lot of unprotected sex.
She felt faint.
No.
She wasn’t pregnant.
She couldn’t be.
Hermione Granger tried to stop it, she even covered her mouth with her hands, but nothing prevented her from vomiting, or the sobs that followed.
