Chapter Twenty Seven: From Evans To Potter.


Everyone had officially moved into Potter manor. Harry was due to turn eighteen at the end of the month. It was one of the hottest July's the wizarding world had seen in a while, it was suspected to continue like this all the way through August.

Nyah and Laney were disgusted by the heat and didn't shy away from mentioning it neither. Laney and Daniel had moved out of their home in the muggle world, as they would need a bigger house when the twins arrived. Besides they wanted to be nearer to their daughters who were both living at Potter manor. Landon had decided to have a house built for them, Potter manor was an estate based on an hundred and fifty Ackers of land.

Lily had already been fitted for her wedding dress, she had decided she wanted to wear an muggle dress because her father was a muggle. Hermione, Ginny, Alice and her two cousins, Katie from her mother’s side of the family and Lindsay from her father’s side, were going to be her brides maids had also been fitted for their dresses.

Petunia that got the role of maid of honour because she was Lily's older sister, had been fitted for her own dress as well. Lily and the girls were due to collect their dresses that after noon, as the wedding was on the Saturday and it was now Thursday. James and Lily were going to spend two weeks in the wizarding area of Rome.

Sirius who was going to be James's best man was currently hanging up his robes for the wedding to keep them in their creases. Whilst grumbling to him self over the fact his cousin was now married to Snape of all people. Making Sirius related to the greasy bastard by marriage.

He said "You know guys I've just been thinking, my cousin supposedly came off her honeymoon last week, and she's due to give birth at the end of this week. So while you and Lily are on your honeymoon James, my cousin will be screaming bloody murder as she brings the first Snape heir into this world, gee how lovely" he bit out sarcastically.

James and the others sniggered at the way Sirius tended to act when he remembered or is reminded he is now related to Snape through marriage. He was not taking the news of his cousin’s marriage and now impending parenthood well at all.

Lily and the girls entered the room, Lily asked amused " Don't tell me he's still pissing and moaning about Bellatrix marrying and having Snape's baby isn’t he?" Lily sat in James's lap as Sirius glared at her and commented bitterly "It's all bloody right for you, your not related to Snape even if it is only through marriage. You in the end are going to end up being related to both Remus and Peter."

Lily smirked "Er Padfoot you missed one, not only are you related to Snape now, you are also related to Malfoy. Seeing as he married Narcissa, Bellatrix twin sister in a double ceremony with Bellatrix and Snape at the beginning of July."

If looks could have murdered, Lily would have been six feet under by now. He sat down heavily on the bed and huffed as he buried his face in Ron's neck, and brooded at the injustice of being related to both Snape and Malfoy.

James grinned and commented "Well, think about it Padfoot at least one family your going to be marrying into won't be into the dark arts and on Voldie's side. Just think your father in law will be the minister of magic."

Sirius whined "Yeah and trust me when I say learning that piece of information is one of the good things that's happened this year." Ron chuckled, there was times when he loved and hated to listen to Sirius whine. His older self did it a lot especially after he had taught the seventh years Slytherin's particularly Malfoy junior.

Sirius pouted and transformed into Padfoot and buried his head in Ron's lap and whined when Ron chuckled and affectionately scratched him behind his ears.

It was eleven am Saturday morning and the girls and the guys were still in deep drunken induced sleep. Petunia and the girls had thrown Lily a hen night at the manor. The girls were enjoying drink after drink of vodka and cranberry juice. Nyah and Laney settled for ice tea.

And Sirius and the others took James out on his stag night at the three broom sticks. The boys along with Landon and Daniel drank fire whiskey until last orders. Neither of the men remember how or when they got back to Hogwarts where Dumbledore was allowing them to stay so neither James or Lily saw each other before they were supposed to. But they some how did manage to make it back in one piece to the castle.

Nyah and Laney had already gotten up at nine thirty and they were showered and dressed in maternity robes. They had the unpleasant task of getting the girls up and getting an hangover potion into to them. Dumbledore and Minerva were given the task of getting the guys up, showered and dressed in old muggle clothes until the afternoon. And trying to get hangover potions into their systems before the wedding.

Both James and Lily had a case of pre marital jitters, which left Harry, Remus and Ron, Sirius, along with Petunia and Peter wondering what they were going to be like when it came to each of their turns to say I do.

James was reduced to pacing up and down his old dorms an hour before the ceremony was due to start. Dumbledore had agreed as Lily's great great grandfather to perform the ceremony, he had been cleared and given the rights needed to perform as a magical minister at any wedding, by the minister of magic.

Luckily for James the man himself came to check on the boys and the groom to see how they were holding up, the groom especially. Other wise he would have been turned into a ferret, a threat that was made courtesy of Ron, who claimed James was making him nervous and it wasn't even him who was going to be taking the plunge for another year yet.

Lily felt ill, and it wasn't down to all the vodka and cranberry juice she and the girls had put a way last night at the hen party. Oh no not at all. She was a buddle of nerves, and had been accused of being a basket case, and about to turn the others the same way if she didn't stop worrying.

As everything had been taken care of, and James loved her or he wouldn't have asked her to marry him, so naturally he was going to show up and make her officially Mrs. Potter.

Unknowns to the girls the guys were currently trying to convince James of the same thing that Lily loved him or she would have not said yes when he had asked her to marry him, and that she would show up so he could make her the official Mrs. Potter.

It was two a clock and Lily and the other girls and James and Lily's mothers arrived by floo powder into Dumbledore office. Minerva had been standing waiting for them and quickly ushered them to her own personal set of rooms in the castle.

Lily and the others had already had their hair and make up done, all that was left to do was to get into their dresses and arrange their flowers. Lily had decided to have her hair put into ringlets and pined on top of her head and left a few curled strands to frame her face. In short she and the girls had styled their hair the same way as they had for the valentine’s ball.

Lily's dress was more like a gown, it was in the same strapless style as the one she had worn for the ball in mint green, only this version was in all pure white minus the lace and the dress gloves. She paired the dress with matching white high heeled shoes.

The finishing touches to the entire ensemble was the vale that reached just below her waist, which was pined on top of her head where it rested lightly against the curls and mint green roses that had been pined in a circle around her head that resembled a halo. She had a medium sized bouquet of mint green roses.

She had applied light pastel blue eye shadow to her lids, in reference to the something blue tradition. She borrowed Nyah's French pearls and matching earrings. Her something old was her grandmothers sapphire bracelet given to her by her father who happened to be Albus Dumbledore. And finally her something new was the ruby anklet bracelet her mother had given to her that morning.

Finally the maid of honour and the brides maids were dressed in gowns identical to Lily's, only in pale mint green. Their hair had been curled and half pinned up and half left down. The half that had been pinned up had a few white roses pinned in certain places. They finished the ensemble with white high heeled shoes.

The girls were given as a gift by Lily, a pearl choker and matching stud earrings. They each carried a small posy of white roses. Nyah and Laney were dressed in long silk mint green dresses with shawls embroidered with golden flowers on them. Their hair had been curled and left to hang lose. They wore white wrist length gloves made of white lace.

James and the guys were dressed in white silk shirts, dark mint green silk ties and waist coats. They wore finely pressed grey suit trousers and long suit coats with tails. Their black shoes had been spit polished until they practically gleamed. Landon and Daniel were dressed the same.

James had a mint green rose in the lapel of his suit coat, while the others had a white rose. Sirius as the best man and the ushers, Harry, Remus, Ron, Peter and Frank. They were each given ruby cufflinks as a gift from James.

The guest list consisted of friends and family of both James's and Lily's. James grandparents Caylum and Alexander Potter, they were his fathers parents. Richard and Irena McCabe, they were his mothers parents. Landon and Nyah's bothers and sisters also attend with their other half’s and children.

Lily's grandparents Amy and Christopher Harker, her mother’s parents and Johnathan and Natalie Evans, her father’s parents, and her fathers sister and brother, Melanie and Darren, they came with their others half’s and Melanie’s daughter and Darren’s son.

And her great aunt and uncle’s, Nina and Edward and Stephen, they all came with their wives and husbands and their children. Remus and Peter's parents were also invited as they had been really nice to James and Lily in the past.

All together their was over two hundred guests. It was twenty passed two in the afternoon and the wedding was due to start in ten minutes. Everyone was getting into their positions they had practiced in the wedding rehearsal. James and Sirius were already at the front waiting for the wedding march to start.

Five minutes later just as James was about to hyperventilate Minerva played a tune on the muggle organ that Dumbledore had arranged and Minerva had learned to play when she was just a young girl.

First Harry with Ginny on his arm, walked down the isle that had been created near the lake on the Hogwarts grounds. Ron with Hermione on his arm followed next, they were followed by Remus and Katie, Lily's cousin. Then Peter and Lindsay, Lily's second cousin came next, they were followed lastly by Alice and Frank. Petunia walked down the isle by her self, and stood at the front waiting for Lily.

Finally it was time for Lily's entrance. Minerva started to play the wedding march, as Lily came walking down the make shift isle on her fathers arm.

Dumbledore went through the formalities, Daniel gave Lily away. And James and Lily went through the traditional vows. Dumbledore asked James "Do you James Landon Potter take thee Lily Annemarie Evans to be your lawfully wedded wife?" James smiled and replied without a single announce of hesitation "I do."

Dumbledore continued his eyes twinkling like crazy "And do you Lily Annemarie Evans take thee James Landon Potter to be your lawfully wedded husband?" Lily smiled and instantly replied " I do."

Dumbledore continued "Repeat after me James, I James Landon Potter do take thee Lily Annemarie’s Evans" James repeated "I James Landon Potter do take thee Lily Annemarie Evans. To be my lawfully wedded wife, to be my lawfully wedded wife. To have and to hold, to have and to hold. For richer and for poorer, for richer and for poorer, in sickness and health, in sickness and health. Until death us do part, until death us do part." James then picked up Lily's wedding band and slipped it onto her finger to join her engagement ring.

Dumbledore turned to Lily "Repeat after me. I Lily Annemarie Evans, I Lily Annemarie Evans, do take thee James Landon Potter, do take thee James Landon Potter. To be my lawfully wedded husband, to be my lawfully wedded husband. To have and to hold, to have and to hold, for richer and fro poorer, for richer and for poorer, in sickness and health, in sickness and health. Until death us to do part, until death us do part." Lily then picked up James's wedding band on slipped it onto his left index finger.

Dumbledore then blessed the rings as two white lights shot out of his wand. He then conjured a silk white ribbon and tied James's and Lily's left hands together with the ribbon by their wrists. He then chanted an incantation and a white and golden light shot out of his wand and surrounded both of them in its brightness.

After a few moments the light and the ribbon disappeared and appeared to have disintegrated into the wedding rings. Dumbledore announced "I now pronounce you as husband and wife" he turned to James, "You may kiss your bride." All that was needed to complete the ritual was a the first kiss between the couple joined in marriage.

James bent his head and gently pulled Lily to him and gentle caught her lips between his own in a gentle and loving kiss. Suddenly everyone gasped when a bright golden light surrounded James and a bright white light surrounded Lily. Then both lights started to mesh together and glowed brightly. When they pulled away the mixed white and golden glow disappeared into both James and Lily. They gasped as they felt the connection between their lives and magic binding together, and what the other was currently feeling.

Dumbledore happily announced "It gives me great pleasure to introduce to you Mr. James Landon Potter and Mrs. Lily Annemarie Potter.” Everyone clapped and cheered as James and Lily made their way down the make shift isle, they were followed by Sirius and Petunia, Harry and Ginny, Ron and Hermione, Remus and Katie, Peter and Lindsay and Alice and Frank.

At the wedding reception James and Lily shared their first dance as Mr. and Mrs. Potter. Sirius and Petunia shared one dance together as it was customary for the maid of honour and the best man to share at dance together at the reception.

Both Sirius and Petunia made speeches and toasts to the couple, Sirius as perusal was extremely amusing, Petunia teased Lily a little bit during her speech. Dumbledore insisted Harry was also to make a speech seeing as he was the son of the bride and groom.

The people who weren't aware of this got a more then a shock from that piece of information. Harry had glared at Dumbledore who chuckled at the obvious discomfort Harry was in.

Harry sighed and began "I suppose the those of you that aren't aware of the situation are wondering how I can be the only son of James and Lily, when I appear to be the same age as them. Well I am, I'm eighteen and already engaged to be married. And the reason I'm here in this time line instead of my own back in 1997. Well, that is rather quite simple it involved a potions prank and time travel.”

He continued “It has been wonderful interacting and getting to know the parents that were cruelly taken from me when I was only a year old. I've enjoyed the pranks and quidditch with James my father. Watching my mother Lily bicker, with my father, now that was entertaining" everyone laughed at that comment.

Harry continued, "I've enjoyed getting the once in a life time chance to see my father get down on one knee in front of my mother on Christmas morning and propose to her. And finally this, my parents wedding and bonding ceremony. What child can ever say he or she experienced one of the happiest days of their parents lives?”

He paused before adding “I've loved every moment of getting to know the younger versions of my fiancée and godfather and of course Peter and my aunt Petunia. I even got to meet both sets of grandparents I had never been given the pleasure or the chance of knowing until now. The only grandparent I actually had in my life was Albus Dumbledore my great great great grandfather.”

He concluded “I would like raise a toast to my parents and hope they are still as much in love as they currently are today, by the time I receive my acceptance letter to Hogwarts. To the bride and groom" Harry lifted his glass in a toast. Every echoed "To the bride and groom."

Later on during the evening his great grandparents couldn't believe had much Harry resembled James. They asked who his fiancée was. Harry had told them the future Remus was his fiancée. Sirius who had met James's grandparents last year when he first moved into Potter manor introduced Ron as his boy friend and future fiancée, Ron had, had to show his promise ring to the woman who all gush over how very beautiful it was. Harry's great great grandparents on his father’s side had admired his own promise ring and had complimented him on his choice of a future husband.

Sirius had been given the same compliment for managing to find and keep hold of Ron. Everyone had though it was a rather interesting combination, they had going, Harry was engaged to be married one of his fathers best friends, his own best friend was going to marry his godfather and his other fathers best friend, and his aunt was going to marry his fathers other friend. They definitely liked to keep it with in the group so to speak.

The whole day and night had been a success. At the end of the night just as they were leaving for their Honeymoon in Rome Lily threw her bouquet up behind her into the crowed of waiting girls and woman. Ginny had caught the bouquet much to Hermione's amusement. So they had one wedding out of the way and three more to go plus seven more births.
