Chapter 26: The Power

Snarling and snapping in his rage, Harry was pleased to note that the teachers and students were still immobile. This gave him plenty of opportunities to take this nsligslightly homicidal rage out on the unsuspecting crowd. Grinning in a decidedly wicked way, Harry\'s eyes flared a crimson red as he let his true Slytherin side come out to play. He very rarely ever let it out, as he was not able to get past the barriers to let him come join the fun. Once this side of him truly and completely stepped forward, Harry\'s entire mannerisms changed. He walked with an air of danger and confidence around him, allowing no one to hold to a false illusion that he wouldn\'t hesitate to kill them all, or that he was a nice person. He practically slithered in the way he walked; there was nothing but grace and prowess in his every movement, and an icy sort of elegance reflected in his entire demeanour. It reminded everyone eerily of the way Professor Snape walked; like a large cat stalking its unsuspecting prey, silent and gracefult unt undeniably lethal.

A unanimous gasp ensued when Harry drew his wand, and the students struggled futiley against the magic restraining them. They were now truly fearing for their lives, but it wasn\'t towards the students that the wand was turned. No, Harry Potter\'s wand was turned on none other then Albus Dumbledore, the Headmaster. Watching with their eyes wide in shock, both the teachers and students nervously anticipated what was about to happen. What could have occurred between Harry and the Headmaster that would cause the boy to vent his anger on him? Surely the students were the ones that should be receiving whatever punishment was about to be dealt. After all, they were the ones that had caused the explosion.

Harry\'s eyes took on a slightly demented glint as he eyed the Headmaster in a rather angry manner. Glaring holes at the man\'s head, Harry moved towards him, smirking on his way. "Tsk, tsk, old man. Didn\'t you think I\'d know? Didn\'t you think I\'d feel it? Feel it coursing through my veins, igniting my blood, awakening me?" Chuckling sinisterly, Harry lazily held his wand in his hand as he watched the old wizard stare in wide-eyed wonder at the boy. "Now, now. I can hear what is running through that idiotic head of yours. And I can\'t believe that you are trying to deny it. There is no denying it, old one. I know." Punctuating his last sentence with a couple jabs of his wand against Dumbledore\'s sternum, Harry straightened up. "I guess I should actually thank you for it. It is thanks to that snake venom that I managed to get out."

"But I grow weary of this game. So what should I do now?" Eyeing the old man, Harry turned away from him, allowing him the brief thought that maybe boe boy would unleash his anger on the crowd instead. He watched in dawning horror as the boy turned back towards him in a slow, elegant manner. Watching him smirking sardonically at him, Dumbledore knew he was in for it now. He should have just slit the boy\'s wrists; then he wouldn\'t have to be dealing with this.

"H-Harry....n-no." Hearing someone managing to call out to him, Harry whirled around, surprised that anyone had the ability to overcome his will to speak. Starring with wide, crimson eyes, Harry nearly dropped his wand as Severus slowly rose from his seat, attempting to make his way to the boy. "D-don\'t...please." Severus seemed to become stronger with each step he took, and more confidant with each syllable he uttered. He could stop Harry from doing this.

"Come now, Severus; surely you don\'t mean to save the man? After everything he has done to both you and me? I don\'t think so." Turning back to the cowering figure, Harry was shocked to find himself in an unrelenting grip of magic himself. Snarling in outrage, he traced the source of power back to Severus. Baring his teeth at the man, he snapped out at him in anger. "Why must you insist on these trivial games? You do not have the power to contain me for long!" To prove his point, Harry flexed his own magic, allowing him enough free movement to switch from pointing the wand at Dumbledore to pointing it at Severus.

Gulping nervously, Severus walked calmly towards the enraged boy. With the boy focussing his powers mainly on attempting to get out of his trap, his hold had slipped enough for Severus\' own magic to free him. "Come now, Harry. don don\'t mean to see him dead, do you? You\'ll land in Azkaban. Besides," shooting a vindictive look towards the meddlesome old man, he continued, "I have a much better use for him. But this use can only work if he is alive." Making sure to stress alive, Severus watched as Harry carefully weighed and considered his options.

Hmm...the man does make a valid point. Perhaps I should hear him out. Smirking at the man, he swiftly raised his wand, thus showing Severus that his hold over the boy was gone. With a slightly manic glint in his eye, Harry quickly cast a powerful obliviate combined with a sleep charm over the students and faculty. The only ones not affected by this course of action were Severus and Dumbledore. Severus sighed in relief and smirked to himself when he noticed that the normally jovial twinkle was not in the Headmaster\'s eyes. Instead there was the look of a condemned animal that knew it was about to die, but afraid and not willing still to lay down and admit defeat.

Quickly, before the students or teachers regained their senses, Harry cast a total body bind and levitation spell on Dumbledore, making the bound man rise and follow him and Severus from the Great Hall. And it was with great satisfaction on Harry\'s part that he let the man run into things, suits of armor, paintings, ghosts, and things of the like. He found it immensely amusing, along with Severus who could not stop a few minor chuckles to escape at the sight of the immobile man bashing unceremoniously into objects. The Headmaster could only silently glare at everything ahead of him; if he\'d had the ability to turn his head, his glare would have been placed on the two chuckling men, but the inanimate objects he ran into would have to do for now.

Motioning for Harry to follow him lower into the dungeons, Severus took him to a hidden room that he was sure neither the Headmaster nor the Marauders had ever found. Noticing the dumbfounded looks on both the Headmaster and Harry\'s faces, Severus smirked, shocked when the dumbfounded look on Harry\'s face switched to one of respect and awe. That certainly was not a reaction he had been expecting. He only hoped that he didn\'t go around telling everybody about this room; he\'d prefer that it were kept a secret, one that Albus wouldn\'t be able to tell if he got his way.

Flinging the old man in without any regard as to whether he got hurt or not, the red-eyed Harry pounced on Severus the minute he had the door shut and warded. With a great \'oomph\', they both tumbled to the floor, Harry coming out on top. He wriggled and writhed around until he had the black-clad body effectively pinned beneath him, smirking and wiggling his eyebrows in a seductive way at the man when he noticed his confused and startled look. Hearing Severus make an undignified yelp when Harry ground his hips down into the man only caused Harry to continue his ministrations, quickly turning the yelp into a moan. Not giving him anymore time to adjust, he clamped his mouth over the older man\'s, thrusting his tongue into the open mouth, exploring the moist, wet cavern. Much to Harry\'s delight, Severus\' tongue returned the favor, starting an all out battle for dominance with Harry\'s. Relenting to the older man\'s more experienced mouth, Harry allowed Severus free reign of his open mouth, but he didn\'t just sit idly by. He started grinding his hips back into Severus\', pushing clothed erections against one another, drawing pants and moans from both. Speeding his grinding against the pinned man, Harry came to an abrupt halt, relishing in the disappointed moan Severus made. Smirking wickedly, Harry removed himself from the man, brushing imaginary dust and dirt from his clothes as he stood before turning to the Headmaster.

Wiping his face clear of all emotions, even arousal and lust, Harry sized the Headmaster up causing him to cringe where he lay. He still didn\'t have the ability to move. He had hoped that while Harry was preoccupied with Severus, his magic would let up enough for Dumbledore to be able to break the charms himself; alas, he didn\'t have that kind of luck, the magic held fast. Harry\'s attentions soon snapped back to Severus has he heard the man rise from the floor with a disheartened groan. Watching as his obsidian eyes finally met his, Harry slowly licked his lips in a seductive manner before grinning cheekily and masking his features once more.

"By the gods, Harry, why\'d you stop?" Hearing the near whining tone of the normally emotionless man, Harry internally cheered that he was able to affect him that much.

Not turning back to face the man, he said, &quell ell that\'s simple, we have a \'guest\'. It was simply rude of me to do that in the first place in front of our \'guest\'. Surely you agree?" Looking over his shoulder at the man, Severus rolled his eyes and shook his head. He could have cared less about the meddlesome troublemaker that was in the room with them. He could have been dealt with. "Hmm...maybe not. Seems you don\'t honestly mind our \'guest\' watching, waiting, anticipating the moment I let my guard down for him to get lose and kill us both."

"Valid points, but all easily refuted. As I\'m sure you\'d agree, even you would not let your magic down enough for him to get free. I only managed because of our bond; I was able to syphon some power from you to establish my freedom." Noticing the questioning looks he received at the mention of the bond, Severus smirked before continuing, not allowing Harry the time to ask about it. "Now is not thme, me, I believe we have to deal with this man here, Harry."

Back in the Great Hall, the students and teachers were just starting to notice the absence of the three men. Looking around in wonder, they were all rather curious as to where they had went, and what had happened to Harry.

"Where do you think they are, Minerva?" Turning to tiny Professor Flitwick, Minerva McGonagall could only shrug her response before numbly remembering Harry\'s influx of power earlier.

"Maybe...maybe they left to deal with Harry. They probably calmed him down, and then took him to the Infirmary or the Headmaster\'s office to talk." As she addressed the entire table, the faculty members all relaxed, sure that was what had happened.

"Ah, that\'s good. Although, that was a good bit of power the boy displayed....quite interesting." As all the teachers went back to their own little conversations, the mass of students were coming to similar conclusions, all rather reassured that the great anwerfwerful Albus Dumbledore would get to the bottom of this. The only ones that didn\'t seem to relieved were the fifth year Slytherins.

"Do you think something terrible has happened?" Pansy whispered to an equally worried Draco.

"I\'m not sure, Pansy. The only thing I know is that I\'m sure Harry is safe. After all, Severus is with them." Biting his lip in worry, Draco turned his eyes from the girl, letting them dart around the Great Hall, briefly landing on various others in the room.

Their heads were turned when they heard a slightly startled exclamation come from the Gryffindor table. "Seems I\'ve forgotten something, again," Neville proclaimed while clutching his Rememberall in his slightly pudgy hands.

"You\'re always forgetting something, Nev," Ron tried to console the boy, reaching over and gently plucking the ball from his hands before tossing it to Hermione. "Bloody Hell!" he exclaimed when he noticed the red fog swirling in the ball when it connected with Hermione. "You\'ve forgotten something too, \'Mione!"
