Spilling Honeymoon Love Dew

Chapter 23 Spilling Honeymoon Dew

Madame Pomfrey and Hermione arrived at Harry’s Estate. There were wedding guest everywhere. Everyone was eating, dancing or walking around the enchanted gardens.

Marie and Susanna both met Hermione at the door.
“How are you feeling?” Marie asked.

“Good just a little tired. Where’s Harry?” Hermione asked the two women.

“He is with Madame Rosmerta making sure people eat and dance,” Marie answered.

“Come. Help me out of this gown and so I can relax some,” Hermione sighed.

The group of women marched up the stairs to help Hermione out of her dress.

Hermione walked into her room and asked Maggie to draw her a warm bath.

With a wave of a wand the bathtub was full of hot water. Marie and Susanna helped Hermione out of the gown. As each garment was undone and peeled off of her body Hermione let tears fall from her eyes wiping them away before your brides maid saw. She looked in the mirror. This was to be her wedding night. This was to be the beginning of her life with Harry and the end of the curse. But first she was going to take a bath and soak for a while to gather her thoughts.

Hermione was naked now and the woman let her alone so she could bathe and have some privacy.

She cried as she soaked in the hot bath. This night was going to be a new beginning but instead she was weeping in her bath while her intended husband was somewhere on grounds playing the host. This was not how she wanted this night to be.

Hermione got out the bath, got her own bath sheet, and dried off. She splashed her pink face with rosewater to help hide the fact that she was crying.

She slipped on the chemise that was put out for her on the bed and opened the door to her closet.

She pulled out a pink dress as she heard a knock at the door and the girls came back in. Maggie had a goblet of wineberry tea and cheese with warm bread and sweetbutter.

The nurse sat down and said,
“I want you to eat this first before you meet your guests, most of them are very worried about you.”

Hermione was famished and ate the whole plate. The bridesmaids were out of their red dresses and in their party dresses. They helped Hermione into her pink dress. Maggie assisted Hermione in fixing her hair.

When she was ready to meet her guests she went down to the garden with Susanna and Marie.

She saw a crowd of people and in the middle was Harry.

Hermione made her way towards him. Greeting people and telling them she was feeling better.

He caught sight of her and excused himself.

“Hermione! How are you feeling?” he asked as he put his arms around her.

“Much better,” Hermione said easing his concerned look.

“Let’s have a wonderful party and we’ll talk about getting married sometime in late summer,” he whispered to her.
He was wearing a smile on his face but his eyes showed his true feelings of disappointment.

They both wore smiles on their faces during the party.

He danced with Hermione again and again rarely letting go of her hand, and not allowing any one to dance with her but her father.

“Harry are you alright?” she asked him.

“I’m not letting you out of my sight tonight. Susanna said she thought she saw Geoffrey here. He won’t be able to claim you by right of first night since we aren’t married, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t going to try something.”

“You knew he was planning on taking me?”

“That’s what I did,” he admitted. “Hermione… he wants you. He has a hurt ego and wants to remedy it. Though everyone thinks you been bedded by him. I’m sure he still wants to seduce or force you into bed,” Harry said softly.

“Surely he knows we aren’t married and has abandoned his plan for tonight,” Hermione reasoned.

“I hope so,” Harry said aloud.

The party went on for hours with eating, dancing, singing love songs, and telling romantic love stories.

Harry had too much to drink and went back to the mansion with a little help from Sirius. Hermione followed at a short distance. They passed people dancing and singing to one group of the wandering minstrels.

“Well I guess the celebrating is going to continue throughout the night,” Harry said. “Why not it’s the day and night for lovers.”

They got to the dining room and Harry picked up the carafe of Honeymoon Love Dew and went out on the balcony.

Hermione could hear the music and people dancing in the garden while she followed him outside.

Harry put his arm around Hermione and slurred,
“Come love our courtship has been backwards, nothing has gone right.”

He leaned over to her ear and whispered, “That day I saw you in the stream bathing I should have taken you right there as your Lord seized you and then stolen you away on a broom to Paris.” A chill ran through Hermione as she saw the passion in his eyes.

He stroked her cheek and stepped away saying, “ I’ve managed to make you my mistress of my bed and got you pregnant twice. You hold me close to your heart and body and have saved my life. If that is not being a wonderful wife then I don’t know what a wife should be.”

Harry picked up the bottle and pulled out the cork. The smell that came from the bottle was strange and not very pleasant.
“Oh God Harry. You’re not going to drink that?” Hermione said aloud wincing at the smell.

Harry laughed and walked over the side of the balcony looked down to see if anyone was there and tilted the bottle still laughing,
“Oh no Hermione. This is Honeymoon Love Dew. You don’t drink it. You pour it on the ground for luck and prosperity. Welcome to the Potter family Hermione,” raising the bottle up in a toasting motion.

Harry went down the steps onto the snowy ground and dug his heel in to the snow and moved the snow until he found the hard ground and slowly started to pour it on the earth.

“But what is it Harry,” Hermione posed as she came down the stairs getting a strong whiff of it as the wind blew.

“The love juices and body dew from our first time together,” Harry explained.

“What?” Hermione gasped, realizing it was ‘the first spill?’

Then the ground shook under their feet and the whole world seemed to go silent for a moment.

A young man appeared out of thin air next to Harry and yelled,
“Stop! Stop pouring that.” He tipped the bottle upright in Harry’s hand. Hermione looked at the boy and knew instantly who it was.

Harry looked surprised at the boy and yelled,
“What do you think you are doing?”
It took a moment for Harry to realize that the young man was a ghost.
“Don’t pour anymore. You have to save some Lizzie. Come, follow me please,”
the transparent figure requested.

“William?” Hermione asked to make sure.

The young man turned to her and said,
“Yes I’m William,” he pause “Please call me Bill. I’m so sorry for all of this,” wringing his finger in a nervous way shaking his head, “Truly I am. Do you have the promise rings?”

Hermione ran to her room and grabbed the chain of rings and ran back down.

Harry put the cork back in the bottle and Bill started to walk to the road. Harry and Hermione followed.

They walked for a mile or so around the estate and then cut though fields. Bill walked at a fast pace, Harry and Hermione called out for him to slow down.

He stopped not far from five large white stones. Hermione looked around and saw they were on Lizzie’s farm, the house just beyond the trees. Bill slowly walked up to the first stone and touched it lovingly, and said softly,
“I’m here Lizzie. I’ve come like I’ve promised,” he turned to Hermione and asked,
“Can I have the rings?” putting out his hand. Hermione gave them to him. Expecting them to fall through his hand but they didn’t.

For a moment Bill looked nervous and ran his fingers through his hair, smoothing out his material and fixing his collar in his semi-formal robes.
“How do I look? Presentable?” he asked.

“You look wonderful.” Hermione replied.

“Pour the rest of the bottle out,” Bill requested and then he murmured, "We will meet again my love and live the life we were denied.”

Harry unplugged the cork.

“In another time, in this place we'll find each other,” Bill continued.

Harry held out the bottle and began to pour the content out slowly onto the ground.

“And let history be our guide, where noble and common blood and germ will be mixed.”

The ground shook beneath their feet again.

“The charmed couple reunited destiny will be fixed,” William sighed.

Something that looked like smoke rose from under the white stone, like a genie coming out of it magic lamp. Within a few moments Hermione and Harry saw Lizzie’s face take shape as well as her body.

She was curtsying in front of him.

“Lizzie!” Bill breathed out.

The girl looked up and smiled,
“Bill!”
He threw his arms around her and he kissed her passionately.

“It’s over now, we’ll be together from now on,” Bill announce to her kissing her hands. He took the necklace with the rings. He took one off the silver one and slipped it on to her finger and put the necklace around her neck.

Lizzie heard distant music and looked at her beloved and asked,
“Bill can we go dance?”

“We’ll do anything you want.” He smiled as he swung her around in a waltzing step.
Bill looked back at Harry and Hermione and simply shouted,
“Thank you,” as their ghostly forms danced across the road and into the woods toward the music.

Hermione had to sit for a moment and catch her breath,
“Is it over Harry? Is it really over? Is the curse broken?”

Harry stood there nodding his head curiously.
“What’s wrong Harry?”

“There’s someone behind you, another ghost.”
Hermione turned to see another young ghost forming and then she too ran toward the road to follow Bill and Lizzie or so they thought.

Harry and Hermione made there way to the road to see the ghost girl embracing a ghostly young man.

Hermione was tired and was cold, her dress and shoes up to her ankles plastered in mud and slime.

Harry took out his wand and shouted,
“Accio broom.”

A few moments later his broom zoomed down into his waiting hands.

Hermione sat down on the broom and they slowly rose in the air above the trees. Hermione was stunned by what she saw. She could see her fields that seemed to go on and on.

Smoke like figures coming out of the earth on her farmland. She looked at Harry who also had a shocked look on his face but he was looking at the graveyard that looked like it was full of fog.

“Harry look at all of them,” Hermione breathed out.

“They were all trapped here,” Harry reasoned looking at all the souls gliding across the fields and orchards.

Hermione saw ghosts gliding toward the boundaries of the farm. Goose pimples ran up her arms at the sight.

“Hermione! How many relatives are buried on your land?” Harry asked with an alarmed tone.

“At least five generations, over one hundred.”

They landed in front Hermione’s house meeting up with Marie and Hermione’s father. Marie was watching as the ghosts of her aunts and cousins were meeting their husbands or lovers.

Hermione looked at the men who were waiting on the road. One by one the gentlemen was met by one of Hermione’s great grandmothers, aunts, or cousins. What a strange but wonderful family reunion Hermione thought to herself as she held Harry’s hand.

Then she saw a white blonde man waiting at the gate.
“Draco?” Hermione whispered.

His lips grew into a smile and Hermione saw Anne come out of the ground.
“Come to me my love,” he called out to her his arms stretched out towards her. She ran to him and they embraced and they too went to the road and into the woods toward the music.

Marie looked nervous and asked,
“You don’t think Richard will come here?” to Hermione’s father.

But Mr. Granger didn’t hear her he was looking at his wife, who was walking toward him,
“Hello my love,” she said smiling him.

“I’ve missed you so much… so much,” and he began to cry and fall to his knees at her feet.

“Don’t mourn me my love. You have a daughter who will need your help and a granddaughter in her womb that will adore you. You have much to do my love. I will be waiting for you here.”

“Mum?” Hermione whispered, “I’m going to have a daughter?”

“Yes, and she going to be beautiful just like you,” her mother told her.

“I miss you mom. I was going have a son…” Hermione started to say.

“Yes I know. Adam. He is at peace. That was the day the women of our family and this land healed you,” and she smiled at Hermione with such love.
“The curse is also a charm. You two were meant to be together, don’t let anything or anyone pull you apart,” her mother told her.

Hermione heard a man’s voice call out to Marie and looked at the fence when she heard him. She didn’t recognize him and nudged her aunt.

Marie turned and laughed covering her mouth,
“Avery?”
Then Hermione knew who it was; the gentleman she tried to have a baby with.

“Marie my dove,” the old man cooed.

Marie walked over to him with a warm smile and tears in her eyes,
“Avery my sweet strong stallion. I’ve missed you my dearest. But tell me why did you leave me your farm?”

“Incase I left you with a little one to care for. It would be her inheritance,” the gentleman told her.

“My sweet sweet Avery I’ve miss you so and I’m sorry to say I’ve no baby growing inside of me.” Marie said to him.

“No child from me is still a nest waiting to be filled. Fill it my lovely. Your body is still
strong. You can still have a child my dear. Find love again,” Avery said sweetly and blew her a kiss and he started to walk down the road following the others.

It was a sight to see ghostly lovers dancing on the road and in the woods toward the music. There was a cloud eclipsing the moon for a moment and everything went dark. The echoes of the melody faded slowly as the last notes were blown and strum. The moon’s beam cut the cloud in the middle and as the last note died all the forms and figures from the past seem to catch the wind and sail up on the beam of light to the moon and to the heavens and stars.

Hermione looked back at her father who had his wife’s hand in his,
“I will be here watching over you,” she said fading away.

Hermione’s father wiped his tears away looking at his daughter,
“You’re going to have my grand-daughter,” pulling her into a tight hug.

Harry was silent all this time and Hermione turned to him,
“Are you alright Harry?”
He looked stunned.

“It’s over. The curse, I think it’s gone,” Harry said watching the last of the ghosts float toward the cloud looking like little stars racing to the night sky.

Harry and Hermione made their way back to the party on the broom. Many of their guests were stunned at seeing the spirits dancing in the woods and one pair of transparent guests waltzing around the dance floor and then spiraled upward dancing as the moon shined on them.

Harry calmed his guests and assured them that the ghosts were gone.
They danced one dance and Harry couldn’t wait any longer and whispered,
“I long to be inside you.”

Harry tugged Hermione toward the mansion saying,
“No one will miss us.”

They climbed the stairs to Harry’s room.
Harry entered his room saying,
“I don’t care we are not wed except for the baby, but we will be by law. But in my heart you are my wife.”

“And as you are my husband in my heart, you are also my lord and master,” she said seductively.

Harry breath caught in his throat for a moment and then his breathing became a pant as the bulge in his pant grow quickly and his rubbed it to help control himself,
“Oh you wick wench. You know what that does to me.”

She walked over to him quickly taking his hand as she curtsied,
“Please forgive me master if I have offended you.”

Harry pulled her out of her bowing position and into a tight embrace kissing her.

When they broke the kiss Hermione was smiling,
“I thought you might like that.”

“You tease, but I will sate my passionate out with you.” Harry said in a taunted tone.

“Let me wash first then you may have me any way you want my lord,” Hermione said.

“I want you to dance for me, with your veils,” he told her.

Hermione pulled off her mudding shoes and brushed off the cake on mud on her dress and washed the dirt off her feet.

She heard Harry say something and then a thud and asks what he said as she came out of the bathroom. She saw Harry on the floor. Peter Pettigrew had a vase in his hands above him and someone came up behind her with a cloth holding it over her mouth and nose as the room spin.
